What Are You Listening To?
Going back to the days of grunge and am listening to the entire Ten album (their 1991 debut) by Pearl Jam.

Apparently, per Andrea Mitchell, McCabe can collect his full pension if hired to work for two days or longer by Congress as a workaround! One such Dem has already made an offer. :-) I love when other government officials give Lord Cheeto the proverbial finger.

I feel like Queen's "Another One Bites The Dust" should be the theme/anthem of this wreck of an administration.

Trump was involved. I'd bet money. He arrogantly, on national TV, asked Russians to hack Hillary Clinton's e-mail and find missing e-mails. Hope ol' Bobby keeps on digging. This is FUN.

Just wanna say this: Donald Trump is DISGUSTING for using the deaths of 17 people as a way to try to derail the Russia investigation. I do agree that the FBI dropped the ball about the shooter. They could have/should have taken action against this monster BEFORE the tragedy. That said... Trump declaring the FBI dropped the ball because they were investigating him with regard to Russian interference is VILE. As someone on one of the news shows pointed out, there are separate departments within the FBI. And one has zero to do with the other. And it is a huge organization, enough to perform MULTIPLE investigations. And for this puke to use 17 lives as a shield is BEYOND low. I hope the kids that do turn 18 this year send their message loud and clear: Vote all of the gun nuts out, tie Trump's hands, and then finish that POS off in 2020.

I think - had they had better writing - they maybe could have worked. (I thought they had chemistry in Susan's early years.) But then, the writers were different, Abby was a factor, and they were admittedly a mess. For the record, it doesn't last long. But they remain friends.

Julia came on in 1985. The Baby Contract began in Fall 1986. That said, she started her more intricate interactions with Mason during the whole Mason/Mary/Mark storyline. So I'd say she maybe went about a year before moving into the "big time players" orbit.

At least Benton/Corday had that nice alone scene in the finale. And I was even more impressed to see the show had snagged original Reese, Matthew Watkins, to come back as a tween.

Alas, you can "thank" Eriq LaSalle for Corday/Greene (in a roundabout way). While he says he had no trouble with Alex Kingston, he felt finally having a successful relationship with a white woman sent a bad message, hence their split and Cleo-Bot, Michael Michelle, coming on.

And Abby was what made me peace the hell out. But I did come back for S15. I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE Abby. Me, I loved the Original Six and watched the first 6 seasons faithfully. After that came the wreck of Luka/Abby/Carter. And, no thank you. I did tune back in in S8 to see Susan's return. But the writers then never "got" her, and I drifted away again.

Amazing how we see things differently. I think the Capwells (and those associated with them) were the most interesting part of the show. They certainly got the investment. Of course, it's all chicken and the egg as, maybe if others did get the writing, they could have been more compelling. But when I watched, I watched for Mason (and Julia), Kelly (especially CG's version), and to a lesser extent, Eden. Most of the other characters not attached there were like a revolving door. Or wallpaper.

Favorite TV Themes/Openings
Loved this show as a 10-year-old. Still do. And loved the theme! (Done by the late, great Henry Mancini.) Young Pierce Brosnan...rowr! This theme, called Laura's Theme, was also by Henry Mancini and was the song used in the S1 intro for "Remington Steele":

Apparently, Trump needs more adulation. Deficit, schmeficit. Like Russia and North Korea, Dotard has ordered a full military parade and the Pentagon is looking at possible dates. Guess who's paying for it?

Of course. But this isn't new. It's been the case since Trump took office. And the Dems are still managing to get seats. Enough to turn the tide? Maybe not. But it's February. There may be more BS (forget may, will), so time will tell if we can tie Trump's hands.

But that's the best part! This was a REAL nothingburger that backfired spectacularly in his fat orange face. And now Intel HATES him.

I keep reading this. And I have nothing against it. All are better than Trump. But do Harris or Booker even want it? Biden seems the only better-than-maybe option right now in that case. On another note: Sayonara, Trey Gowdy! Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya.

So, Joe Kennedy III. What say you? I thought he was stiff starting out. But once he got warmed up, he seemed passionate. Inclusive! (Lots of "we" and "our" versus "I" and "me"...) I can't say as I was born 4 years after his assassination, but I've seen some say he sounded a lot like his grandfather, RFK. But is he the hope for 2020? Not sure. Still, Dems can do much worse. See the current occupant of the White House.
