  1. The character of Scott went sideways when it was discovered his portrayer, Joe Breen, was HIV positive. Breen left the role (or was fired) and never really thrived with the recasts, one of whom was Doug Wert. By then, Scott had drifted into the Rosanna/Mike/Carly triangle, was trying to leech off Rosanna, and blackmail Carly (he knew Mike had gotten her pregnant). Carly outsmarted him, but after that Carly lost the baby, Maura left the show to have her first baby ( who just graduated college, BTW) and they fired Yvonne Perry. Scott left town with her, and I believe the last we heard, Ro said Scott had helped her gamble a significant amount if her fortune away. I don't really remember Rick Ryan, but they brought the character back briefly in the mid80's and pinned him with selling baby Sabrina.
  2. Isn't the guy in the J&J ad Don Galloway, from Ironside? And the lady in the last one Robin Strasser?
  3. I had no clue Lindsay's kid was a pitcher. Didn't Lindsay do the Bambi Bembenek story? Could've been that.....
  4. First...thank you, and don't ever feel bad about when you can get around to it. It is a huge time investment on your part. But in Easton's list you used Stephen twice. The doctor was Silas.
  5. Colleen Zenk and Mark Pinter's son Morgan died last month. He was 28.
  6. Yeah, the thing was it became a competition between Cal and Jarrod to see who could buy her the bigger, newer appliance. Sorry to disagree, but I've been in more than one old farmhouse, and the biggest inaccuracy was the room size. That kitchen was about four times the size it would've been.
  7. Beau was the man Bob saw on the park with Laura, but he wasn't attacking her. The bible doesn't say why Beau ran off though. I can't completely hate the strike though---it ended up being the only time a guy actively pursued Iva. I must've replayed their first kiss a thousand times....
  8. Me either, really. And she slept with Josh. And had some kind of rivalry with Nola, which I completely blank on. All good points.
  9. No, I've confused you. Carolyn Ann Clarke played Laura, and the role of Lesley Ann ( Candy ) on GL. Robin Morse played Pam on ATWT. She is the actor Robert Morse's daughter, FYI. But she's been in little else since ATWT.
  10. It gets better: hooker nom de plume: Candy! The biggest obstacle? Lily. Hard to thrive when Lily sucked up airtime and men. Even Jennifer Ashe didn't really hit her stride until Meg was moved out of competition with Lily.
  11. I know the story stinks, but I had a soft spot in my heart for the actress. She'd been on GL as a ex-hooker/nurse. But Beau---no such attachment.
  12. I'd forgotten all about that. God, can you imagine the coverage if that happened now?
  13. Caroline McWilliams Shawn Christian Julie Pinson Hugo Napier Mark Pinter
  14. Maybe it was preempted in some markets that day. Seems odd that whoever's posting wouldn't have that pivotal episode. I seem to remember it involving Pam getting baby Chris out of the house, so I must've seen it.
  15. Lol...thanks. Isn't that a very tan Marie Masters standing by Kathy Hays?
  16. Anyone help out identifying these cast members? I recognize the more obvious ones. Its mid70's (and from Judith Chapman's inclusion 75-78, from Suzanne Davidson's appearance I'd guess more 75-6 ish. ) https://mobile.twitter.com/cliffordjdm/status/992915872846098434/photo/1
  17. Yeah, I can look back and see his faults a little clearer---for better or worse, he rarely cut stories that weren't working, he relied a lot on therapy and eavesdropping. Although I think he did balance the show fairly well, there were times the sturm and drang made Oakdale depressing. But he was the best at creating an immersive, connected community. He mined history for story and didn't rewrite it to his purpose. Writers today couldn't compare. But even among his peers, Doug was special, and I think they knew it.
  18. Just saw that on my timeline too. Its sad he's been gone so long, but what a legacy. For my money, the best HW ever.
  19. Was she ever even nominated? I can't find a reference to one... That neither she or Marie Masters....smh
  20. I thought Kathy got a lifetime emmy. Or was that just Don, Eileen and Helen?
  21. I saw that. I think Maura took her kids Joe and Kate to see DEH. Its nice to know they're still good friends. Mikey tweeted after the emmys---he didn't agree with ED's win. I miss him. He is a handsome devil.
  22. I seem to recall Peter Simon in leather points as Ian......but I will grant brownie points for finding a pic of Simon looking pleasant. His Ed was always so morose. TYMV.
  23. AWESOME....I had no idea both William and Larry had multiple roles on GL.
  24. Well, cheated a little bit. And I'm not even sure if Robert Mandan was on a soap...other than Soap. Chris Berneau Deborah Farentino Richard Egan Ed Nelson
  25. Mary Kay Adams Audrey Peters Tudi Wiggins Peggy McCay Mary Stuart Larry Haines Larry Gates William Roerick Courtney Simon Peter Simon (bonus points for cheesy pic from his ATWTstint) Colleen Dion Robert Mandan Nikki Goulet It is really tough trying to think of people.
