Today was the Dani I can’t stand. She had been doing so good for a few weeks here.

We desperately need another restaurant in town for the characters. And maybe a coffee shop too or at least another bar. Everyone only eating at Orphy Genes or the country club has gotten extremely old.

But she literally pointed out her family two seconds later when they were outside.

I missed Sunday and really only want to watch to see Brit fail again.

We’re not even 6 months in of the next 4 years yet 🤦🏽‍♂️

That was so surprising to me today. I didn’t see any spoilers that this was coming up so I loved it!

Why did Ari call the Brady Pub one of her family’s favorite places when literally it’s her family’s establishment. Her great grandpa Roman literally runs it. Also it’s a little creepy that D3 is only interested in high school chicks when I’m sure he’s in his 20’s at this point, at least legal age. Javi’s nipples could’ve cut glass when he got back to the Hernandez home. I liked all of John’s grand and great grands learning of the news in this episode as their stories were going on. Would’ve liked to actually see the scenes with them by John’s bedside.

Here’s the thing, when I see a new actor that’s trying I give them much more leeway. But when you have zero expressions or emotion in your voice, there is zero leeway. Maybe it’s my acting background from college, but I feel like if you’re hired for an acting gig, simply learning the lines is not good enough.

So I couldn’t resist and skipped ahead to Monday of this week. Just wow. One of the best most emotional episodes I’ve ever seen of Days. All of the actors truly brought it. Marlena in the chapel is what almost broke me. Also loved the slow cinematography going around the candles. When the show tries, even with budget constraints it can still look interesting. I wish the show did have some sort of filter though to counterbalance the HD cameras used now. Xander being a villain again works perfectly for me. Loved those scenes with him vs Maggie who has always given Xander a million passes. Paul talking about the other kids and then the flashback to pride 😭. Honestly I loved allll of the flashbacks used for Monday. Even the Devil storyline was referenced but actually seriously. Days proved on Monday what an absolutely underrated cast they have. John’s wishes were to fight 😭😭

D3 in theory coming on right after Doug passed away as a comfort for Julie is perfect in theory. Hiring a block of wood that barely has a pulse in most scenes completely ruined any chance I had of caring about the character, the sooner Peyton is gone the better.

This was one of my favorite soap friendships of all time. Mishael and Gina had AMAZING friendship chemistry. And Phyllis at that time was exactly the friend Hilary needed. God why did you have to remind me what we lost 😭

Tracy was handing Anita the business today and I was here for it! Martin and Smitty’s daughter looks like she’s related to the son’s love interest 😂 I really enjoy Martin and Smitty together now that the two actors are much more comfortable in their roles. Just wanted to add I love how Vernon is written and portrayed as opposed to the Victor Newmans, Kiriakis, and Stefano’s were written. It’s nice to see a patriarch that actually loves their family.

So I’m currently on May 7th. Should I just go ahead and skip to this week or last Friday? Though I do want to see Xander beat up Phillip. Maybe I should skip ahead and then go back. Thoughts daily watchers?

Today was so so good. Everyone has basically said all my thoughts but I did want to add: I was anxiously waiting for Tracy to find out about Gio and the show didn’t make us wait long at all. Jane Elliott was perfect today.

How many episodes do we have left with this fraud? I’m ready for her to go.

I’ve just about had it with Drew at this point so I’m happy Michael is back.

Good riddance. He was the cure for insomnia as an actor.

Trisha Mann-Grant is so so good. I can’t believe I’ve never seen her in something before.

Holy [!@#$%^&*] just finished Friday’s episode. Despite my very public issues with this show, this week was everything I look for in soap opera. I fast forwarded all of the performances so I got nothing but soapy goodness. Honestly when GH wants to, they still pull off a Guza type event and this week was proof of that. I have to also shout out Ned getting some strong involvement, given Brook Lynn kept the secret from him, very happy about that. Maurice has to retire ASAP. Every other major player affected by this story, did such great work. He was embarrassingly bad like he barely knew where he was for some of his scenes. Giving him a job just because of his mental health has to stip when he’s actively ruining scenes. So happy Ned got a point of view most of the episode. Michael showing up with his new face and his son running up to him in front of everyone is just perfect and a great cliffhanger.

I would love to go to a clueless party. I was shocked by some of their reactions given most of them are millennials. Anything from the 90’s and early 2000’s is my [!@#$%^&*] as an 88 baby.

I’m not sure what any of this has to do with me saying the new guy has no commanding presence.

He has ZERO commanding presence.
