I truly have no idea what she’s going for in the role outside of desperately don’t play Gwen. But it’s an awful take as Theresa especially after the original was just on canvas. I will never understand why they couldn’t just hire a non on canvas actress to take over if they didn’t want to work with Jen Lilley.

I just got to Victor firing Nate and I’m truly at a loss for words. Nate used his previous medical experience to create a plan of action for Victor’s health and he instead fires him? Couldn’t he have just fired Nate months ago instead of putting his children through this? This is definitely one of the stupidest Victor stories in awhile. He’s just sitting in his office yelling at his family for worrying about him. Just rest the rest whole Newman clan at this point. Also Abby was on the same episode and she has no idea anything could’ve potentially been wrong with her dad and none of her siblings bothered to tell her.

Heavenly needs to be slapped yesterday. That mess she tried to create between Simone and Jackie was such bull.

I’m on last Wednesday’s episode and I just have to ask, are the other 3 Newman kids going to tell Abby anything about what’s going on with Victor?

I couldn’t be more excited. I got more from this promo than the entire season of the reboot.

I definitely remember Nicole’s drinking being a topic of convo at some point. I did originally enjoy drunk Nicole quite a bit if she was sparring with Kate or Sami.

I genuinely don’t know why running DiMera is so important to these people. They all live rent free in a mansion and I imagine could make millions at any high level position in this company that we have no idea what it does.

Watching today’s episode after Nick finds everything out and I’m still so baffled by this Victor storyline. Victor out of boredom, demoted two of his children to lesser roles and then began to fake dementia to see which one of them he pissed off enough to turn on him, even though they rightfully should. This is absurd.

The Newmans are so tired to me. Victor is so bored now that he decided to fake dementia just to test his kids because he has nothing else to do. This is ridiculous. Does Abby even know anything is going on with her dad? She’s so isolated from the Newmans AND the Abbott’s somehow.

The show Chucky has reused one actor every season as a new main character but no one does the wink wink nod like on soaps.

I saw a report they were bringing back the entire OC cast as is and I think it’s an excellent decision. This is the first season in ages that felt like OC. Even Emily and Gina whom I’ve never understood the purpose, may have finally found their place.

Definitely raising my hand as someone more into the Abbott’s than the Newmans. They seem incapable of really giving the Newmans anything to do for long that isn’t the exact same story they always have. Also I much prefer Nate’s usage now than in previous years where he was literally an after thought. The Devon/Nate rivalry is the best thing to happen to both characters in years.

I know we’ve been through this before with DAYS, but it seems like we just had a completely unnecessary mass exodus of characters in the last week or so. And today being reminded that Leo and Dimitri are still on canvas and are being presented as a happy couple, I just had to roll my eyes and sigh. Also Clyde unnecessarily being back in the thick of things. Can Lucas ever get out of prison? No one in Salem serves terms this long. Kate needs her favorite son back in town.

Eileen returning as Kristen for the first time since the 90’s was SO SO good that first run. I believe it earned Eileen her first Emmy too.

Honestly I feel like I barely ever saw Tate or Holly and developed no connection with them as kids like Ciara and Theo and even Johnny as a child, so the sudden recasts into teenagers doesn’t bother me at all. I actually have enjoyed both new actors this week, but I’ve learned not to get attached to too many people on this show as they get bored quite quickly with a lot of newer characters not named Leo/Gwen.

Theresa’s faces in the background on Monday hearing about the will seems to make it obvious she had something to do with changing it.
