Regina was great on Southland and kept getting overlooked year after year. Now she wins for almost everything she does. It’s a nice reversal.

I think two black actors have won a few years: Halle/Denzel, Jamie Foxx/Morgan Freeman, Mahershala/Viola. Edit: I suppose they’re counting Rami as non-white.

I'm happy for Olivia,  she's deserved. I'm a bit sad for Glenn though given her losing steak and the fact that she IS one of the best actors period of her generation. I know she’s been developing the Broadway show Sunset Boulevard as a film musical. Whether or not that turns out good remains to be seen. I’ve seen people compare this to Marion Cotillard beating Julie Christie, but Julie had her Oscar.

For those who may have missed Olivia Colman’s BRILLIANT speech:

They spread the wealth tonight: I think every Best Picture nominee went home with something.

I thought The Favourite might come up empty until Olivia won.

Green Book was always looming, but man, this is going to upset a LOT of people.

That staging of “Shallow” was cool.

It looks like Pink is a theme at this year's Oscars. I saw several ladies in pink gowns including Angela Bassett, and Helen Mirren, who I thought looked nice I theirs. Helen Mirren looked really nice, IMO, she often looks good.
