  1. I loved last night's episode. It struck so many notes of identification for me - I've had similar conversations with would-be lovers in my day. And it's now more understandable how Patrick, a decent-looking thirtysomething in SF, has had so little experience. He's an "ex-fattie," and has deep-seated body and insecurity issues. Plus, his conservative upbringing has an impact. Those things, plus workaholism, can do a number on you for years.

I thought Augustin was hot in the first episode, but the show has done a good job at killing my attraction to him. He's a prick.

  2. Kenya's not good verbally. She's better at getting attention and selling an image of herself. She also has nothing to lose, so that makes her behavior on the show more balls to the wall than someone like Sheree or Kim.

Nene will likely flay her alive on reunion night and we will hear that this is Nene's big comeback, etc. For now, Kenya's on her home court, and Nene is damaging herself, with some help from Kenya.

I think the problem is Nene doesn't want to be there and she feels she shouldn't have to be there. She can't hide it. And it's eating her alive.

Yep. Kenya kills in her THs because she has time to prep, but on her feet, she's out of her element. Marlo, on the other hand, could go toe-to-toe.

I've been done with Nene for a while, and it's a shame because she has more natural charisma than any other RH. But she is surpassing Jill Zarin levels of delusion right now.

  3. One thing I WILL say is that I don't yet feel the friend chemistry between the three leads. I feel like the group scenes between Patrick, Dom, and Augustin are the weakest/falsest on the series. The scenes of them in their dating/working/outside social lives feel much more authentic.

  4. Jax and Lisa are on WWHL, and Sandoval called in, threatening to spill the tea on Jax. He says knows dirt on Jax that's a thousand times worse than anything that came out this season and started in on why Jax changed his name when he moved from Miami to L.A. Jax was getting uncomfortable and told Andy to get Tom off the phone.

  5. Well I wasn't expecting that finale. That punch from Sandoval looked fake as f*** in the previews, but man he got Jax good. Loved Sandoval's conversations with Stassi, Lisa, and Jax. If this show is scripted, they did a good job with those scenes.

  6. I know. I'm up right now watching the Cabo episodes. Between pathetic and drunk Katie, Kristen calling Lisa, her boss and demanding that Ari be fired and Stassi's narcissism being cranked off the charts "because, it's MY BIRTHDAY!!", I'm trying to remember if being this cray cray was a growing pain of being in your early twenties or if this stuff is just manufactured BS for this group of individuals.

The only one that seems relatively with it and has their stuff together, is the single girl with the tiny butt. I can never recall her name, because she has no damn drama churning around her.

Lisa must have employees who are way more professional for both her restaurants, than the ones featured on her show. She wouldn't be able to keep her places of business, if everybody was like this motley crew of narcissists.

And Lisa even entertaining the discussion about "Who's shagging who?" and amping up the Stassi/Jax/Kristen drama... I get that she's "Not a real mom, she's a cool mom," and she's plays the role of wise sounding board for this group of horny twits. And at the end of the day, it's all a silly TV show, but it's not a good look. And eventually it will get tiresome. That ship is close to sailing right now.

  7. Alex initially was only interesting for the freakshow with Simon. I found them to be harmless social climbers and they were very likable IMO. Unlike other social climbers, I felt they were living within their means and I began to LOVE them when I saw the others constantly making fun of them. They were blasted for living in Brooklyn, but good on them finding a nice place there instead of paying more to stay in Manhattan just to keep up with the others. Or how they went to St. Barth's in the off season, that's another thing they were criticized for. To this day they came off very hard working so I never minded them. Alex is still in the public eye and doing very well with her business and this is WITHOUT the nasty press articles that are keeping Jill in the media. I hated that they did Couples Therapy, but other than that they're golden IMO.

I just don't see what Alex brings to the table. Simon is a hoot, yes, but she's humorless. She's not fabulous, which is fine, but she's not witty either. And if we're wanting a more grounded contrast to the more larger-than-life personalities (LuAnn, Ramona, Sonja), I think Heather (who I love) more than fills that role. Heather can shut bitches down with one cutting line, including loudmouth Ramoma, and that's without getting nasty and unhinged like Aviva. Alex often struggled to defend herself even when she had the upper hand (the hives when she confronted Jill, the silly "You're a mean girl/I'm in Brooklyn" speech, the insane arguments where even Kelly came across as more lucid).

  8. I do wonder how much more mileage they can get out of Stassi/Jax/Kristen/Tom/Ariana musical beds. Stassi is a great character who is oddly lovable in spite of her narcissism and cruelty, but she could easily become unbearably shrill.

And it feels like a reality TV version of Torchwood in that every character does something ridiculous that would have gotten them fired in any other universe, but they stay on for the sake of the TV show. (Well, until everyone got killed off.) It all makes Lisa look silly and unprofessional.

  9. I don't think Kenya stands a chance against Nene at the reunion. Last year I was team Kenya in the Kenya/Phaedra debate but Phaedra demolished her on all 3 parts of the reunion. And like you said, Phaedra isn't half the fighter Nene is.

My bet is that Kenya is like Carole from RHONY - slays in her THs but can't think on her feet.

But someone needs to set Nene straight, though. Kim probably came closest because she could rattle Nene and make her get physical.

  10. Maybe that's what it is with Kenya this season. She isn't trying hard, and just being and I am finding that refreshing.

Kenya and Kandi are joint MVPs. And I definitely think Kenya took in the fan feedback from last season and made adjustments.

The test will be if she can bring it at the reunion. Phaedra wiped the floor with her last year, and Nene is even more quick-witted and overbearing than Phaedra. Kenya will have to come correct if she's going toe-to-toe with Ms. Leakes. I hope she does.

  11. I think he did. He also posted a nude photo of himself on twitter to distract from it.

Schwartz is a favorite of mine but he def has issues that ad not cool.

Between that and throwing the drinks at Stassi and Katie, I wouldn't be surprised if a domestic violence arrest is in his future.
