I’m loving Casey Wilson telling Andy on WWHL that she’s ready for Lisa Rinna and Erika to “ease on down the road.” LOL!
He keeps claiming that they’ll both reveal a lot this season.0 -
Leah and Bethenny: I’d love to see it. They’d murder each other.
Leah is NUTS.

She’s exhausting. At least RHONY didn’t think Kelly was the star of the franchise.
I’m looking at the reactions to tonight’s episode and Leah’s getting slaughtered. Even though Heather had some own goals tonight.

Heather is dropping straight knowledge right now… Oh dear… I’m walking that back…
She meant well, but lord, Heather’s weird sense of affinity with black culture based on her work with Puffy, et al, has always been one of her more problematic aspects.
White savior complex aside, I appreciate her explanation to Luann about what happened.
Sonja’s the most attuned to the situation.
OOF, Heather… ARTICULATE?! Don’t make me side with Leah to get you off this show. Haha.

I actually did think of that and agree, especially since Days is notorious for having their female leads raped. I get talking about Kayla, Ciara, Allie, Marlena, and Sami being raped is a lot. Didn't Jan mention her rape to in regards to killing Charlie too?
I just think it's a use of history Days is missing. Although Marlena's rape was actually very plot-pointy/unnecessary at the time and hasn't really been used in story since early Roman/Marlena, so it's understandable. It's not even in the top 10 worst things to happen to Marlena lol..
I’m just thinking back to #metoo (around 2017) when a lot of people, mostly women, revealed they’d been the victim of some kind of sexual abuse or assault. For a soap like DAYS, with so many rape survivors, that could have been a moment—one relevant to real-life conversations at the time—to address that. The problem is they play too fast and loose with abusers-turned-heartthrobs.

I think Sheryl has been funny as a standup, but she’s terrible as the Emmy host. At least #metoo means she might stop pawing over every hot dude.

I was wondering if Sascha was playing that well (not watching), but saw this from Morgado.
Lord, these up-and-comers are just sh!tting the bed left and right.

Why? Why all of this hullabaloo over the on-off-on-off Skyle wedding? No one gives a sh!t at this point. Even their stans are bored, I’m sure.
This Amanda story doesn’t work at all. Everything is off screen. Sutton needed to be more involved with this story.

I would love to see Once and Again and Sisters streaming. Does NBC/Universal own Sisters? Because it would make sense if it would go to Peacock.
I have some more shows I want to see streaming too.
Thirtysomething
For Your Love
Beggars and Choosers (Some kind soul uploaded some episodes on YT a few months ago)
Family Law
Soaps (Santa Barbara (I know it would never happen) Generations, Passions, Sunset Beach, Loving, Ryan's Hope)
Looks like WB might own Sisters. Thirtysomething used to be on Hulu, so I guess it got pulled.
Speaking of soaps, the sitcom Soap.

Xander’s hairy pecs are putting in WORK on the daily. At this point, they deserve their own “Starring” credit like the late, great Frances Reid.

Yeah I saw that afterwards (I didn’t watch the match in full). He’s getting pummeled for that.
Look at Pavs making big moves at 29. Good opportunity to make the final with the semi against Zidansek.

Mulcahey also wrote for Justin Deas on Santa Barbara. JD’s mugging was at least more appropriate on SaBa because he was playing a broad, oversexed schemer used mostly for comic relief.

I know. Not going to spoil anything and I'm not even up to date on either show but I don't understand how GH has so much better production values and writing now. You never feel like "oh, this character should be in this scene but I guess they can't afford it today" or "oh, this scene should really be taking place in this location but I guess they couldn't put up that set today." Y&R at this point is just all exposition of things that happened offscreen (that make no sense).
GH is doing very basic soap stuff. Like having big secrets that viewers are waiting to be revealed (Sonny being alive, Brook Lynn and Valentin’s baby actually being Maxie’s). The only “suspenseful stories” we’ve had on Y&R in recent months was Chelsea framing Adam and Kyle hiding his son’s paternity from Jack (why would he care that much?).
I’ve been somewhat enjoying GH, but I also don’t want to overrate it for doing things that we’d normally expect from even bad soaps back in the day.
Y&R is soooo flat and uninspired, it’s pathetic. I don’t even think it’s a step up from DAYS, production-wise, and if it’s going to be “character-driven,” they need a stronger writing staff. Of all the remaining soaps, Y&R characters have the least distinctive, individualized voices. Even Faith’s dialogue as a teen doesn’t stand out much.
Speaking of off screen, Amanda is working on Sutton’s case, but where has he been? Have we even had a scene with Sutton and Naya/Imani yet?
We should have seen Amanda at an Ames/Benedict family dinner at this point (forgive me if I’ve missed that), but I suppose that’s beyond Y&R’s shrinking budget at this point. (Hell, they could have had dinner at Society, for heaven’s sake.) We get strained meetings in the Grand Phoenix lobby instead.0 -

I want stories, but definitely not so far gone that Pratt or Mal or MAB would be a step up. Yet the writing is… puzzling, both on a longterm story and a day-to-day script level. I would love be a fly on the wall in BTS meetings or story pitches.
Y&R hasn’t been able to find that balance. It’s either the batsh!t-crazy sensationalism of Pratt or the wheel-spinning of late.
CBS continues to promote the show as an unfunny sitcom, which is telling. It also doesn’t feel like a show for adults. Like I know Y&R aspired to be more ABC-ish in the past couple of decades, but it’s beyond that. The tone feels like some cheap, chirpy Canadian soap opera that got cancelled in the mid-‘90s and no one remembers.
