  1. The dialogue on this show is so clunky and labored. It’s as if someone told them to write the show like a stiff Victorian costume drama.

It’s clear they’re setting up the Lockes to be snakes in the grass, with eyes potentially both on Jabot and NE. They could not have laid the groundwork more poorly for this, though.

It was Saturday night, so I guess that made it alright.

In hindsight it is funny that Prince's lyrics were so obtuse that we just assumed he was using sexual allegories.  However, did he really try to compare female reproductive organs to both little red corvettes and raspberry berets (or just the kind you find in a second hand store)?  Meanwhile Purple Rain remains one of the most beautiful songs to me, both emotionally and harmonically, but I have no idea of the intended interpretation of the lyric.

He really was an underrated lyricist, even when the suggestive stuff felt on the nose. “The Ballad of Dorothy Parker” was a great storytelling song.

  3. OK, Meghan decided to get buck with Whoopi just now, and I can’t imagine that’s going over well during commercial break.

I have a feeling Meghan is gonna be gone soon.

They just apologized to each other after they returned from break.

  4. Good for Felix!

People are saying, oh Roger needs more time. Time isn’t exactly a friend when you’re an athlete pushing 40 (who just underwent two knee surgeries).

But we shall see! I never count him out.

Oh people finally back in the Clubhouse now?

Yeah, it felt strange actually. Not even because of residual COVID fears… just not used to it!

    Rhony

    Leah is too thirsty

Eboni could be a fun person if she would stop lecturing everyone.

    Heather is smart to flee

Sonja can be reasonable, yet delusional.

    Luann is still bitter

    Ramona is..well...Ramona

    Pretty much.

Even black folks on Twitter are like, “Eboni, chill.”

Someone on Twitter posted that the tennis media themselves are sabotaging their own sport with the big 3 continued barrage. It makes the fans care less or want to see anyone win the majors but those 3.

Again the tennis media should be [!@#$%^&*] embarrassed that tennis fans had no clue who Dominic Thiem was a few years back at the US Open. He had been on the tour for years.

Super short-sighted as usual. They make a ton of bank off of Roger especially, but that well is about to run dry, and they don’t have that many backups, especially on the men’s side. The networks lavish airtime on male American players who just aren’t in contention for majors and probably never will be.

By the way, what ever happened to Jared Donaldson?

  7. Glad that Heather addressed and squashed that incident in which she accidentally liked and expressed agreement with an Instagram comment referring to Eboni as a “race baiter.” Queens of Bravo tried to give legs to that nothingburger. And Heather was right that her (now-deleted) agreement with the IG comment didn’t even really make sense in context.

That said, I’m tired of “teachable moments” on RHONY right now. It’s too heavy-handed. It’s like they felt they had to tackle 12 seasons of exclusion in a few episodes.

Heather’s apology to Eboni on WWHL:

Ratings went up. I'm surprised. Maybe viewers were tired of Nadal in the finals.

2016 is the last time there was a non-Nadal final (when Djokovic won his first, over Andy Murray).

When Nadal makes a Roland Garros final, it’s almost a foregone conclusion he’ll be holding the trophy, so there’s less reason for people to watch.

I’m sure that 2013 semifinal was that intense five-setter between Rafa and Novak.

The fact that Days made him such a huge soap star just shows that he had potential that AMC didn't realize, which isn't that surprising considering there were other stars casted on AMC that went on to bigger soaps and bigger projects.

That’s fair, considering AMC felt like they could only nurture a handful of actors (Minshew, Mathison, Budig, Kaye). But I never was that into him on DAYS, partially because I found his character so loathsome and not in a fun way. Just wasn’t my bag. Beautiful man, though.
