I'm thinking most outlets do, right? False equivalence. Making it look like a horse race for ratings. But whether it's NBC or some other network, it still frustrates me. 

Good to see Lauer being called out. But is NBC Politics any better with this headline? Trump Praises Putin; Clinton Defends Emails?

They're making it sound like Hillary is just as bad imo. (I didn't read the article though). 

I read a comment that said she could be on a breathing machine and they'd still vote for her.

 

I think anything post convention is the media's fault. Pre, I would blame both the media and Hillary answers to questions, but once her numbers got really high, media did and continues to do everything to knock her down. And it's working. I'm nervous. 

 

Nate Silver has her at 68.5... That's about 4% down from earlier this morning. 

The nerve of Raddatz to ask if America deserves a better explanation!!! First of all, Hillary has explained over and over and over again, and it's only hurts her. She also expressed regret over and over and over. So, she recently, flat out states that anytime she tries to explain, it sounds like she's making excuses, and there are no excuses, and she still can't win with the press. 

 

Doesn't America deserve a better explanation about... Trump's Russian connections? Trump's foundation pay-to-play's? Trump's insistence that Obama founded ISIS? The Birther Movement? Trump's supposed sacrifices? Trump's lack of tax returns?! And so on and so on. I hope who ever is coaching her is giving her good ideas on how to respond to email and foundation questions because it looks like the debate moderators will want to focus on that instead of actual policies. 

 

Hillary had another coughing fit at start of speech in Cleveland. Let the health conspiracy theories continue, even though a cough has nothing to do with the stroke/seizures/brain damage/Parkinson's/etc. narrative they have been running with. 

I totally didn't know about these exchanges between Comey and the House Republicans...

 

Democrat Cummings was right. Comey had one job - to prosecute Hillary, and when he decided not to, he in essence became the one on trial in that moment. 

 

^^^ That's true. Things are twisted in his favor repeatedly. I mean, for his Mexico speech, he wore a suit, tie and spoke at the podium, and the headlines were that he was presidential. If he does win, the media will have story after story because of all his outrageous antics, that's for sure. If Hillary wins, they'll probably just have to keep recycling ones about her health or emails. Or maybe she'll swear a scunchie again and it will be front page news. Or a headband. I quote the Washington Post, 2012: Stop the tresses: Hillary's headband is back. 

 

Did I understand those FBI notes correctly that same 13 people emailed her in a 4 year period? Now, obviously, she emailed more, but it gives a lot of credence to the statements made by her and the department that she did business on hard copies, face to face or on secure phone lines. 

Thanks for the article! I would hope the press doesn't want Trump to win and they are just doing this to try and keep the race close, but if he does win, the media will be complicit. Their job is to educate, not try and persuade us one way or another (unless of course if it's an opinion article). But from a CNN account, we recently have a headline stating Powell advised Clinton to be careful, making him sound innocent...when the actual information was he warned her and told her how he evaded the FOIA. And it's not just CNN who is doing stuff like this...

But let’s not overlook the fact that Bornstein also told NBC News, in reference to Hillary Clinton, “I know her physician and I know some of her health history which is really not so good.”

I feel like Trump gets called out on stuff for a day or two before they go back to giving Hillary a hard time... The fact that people think her not giving a press conference is the same as Trump not releasing his taxes is ridiculous.

AP has been on a "roll" lately with the Clinton Foundation article, re-print, and then tweeting how Dwyane and Trump "speak out" about Chicago death... When Dwyane mourned and Trump used it to get votes, but you would never know that from the tweet. Turns out Trump campaign staff met with AP and told them how they wanted to news shared?!?!

Watching Anderson Cooper 360...This Trump supporter said Trump is not racist and disavowed Duke many times and has no connection to white supremacists. Sparks are flying. Reminds me of The View hosts fighting with each other?

I didn't think Powell was suggesting that, I've seen people say that Hillary is blaming a "black man."

Colin Powell is quoted saying that Clinton’s people are trying to blame the emails on him.

Can we get the quote where he says he didn’t save his emails?

Or the quote where he admits this “scandal” is all politics?

Oh wait. We can’t because that stuff is actually pro-Hillary and no matter what Trump or his supporters say, she is NOT protected by the media.

Her campaign needs to issue a statement. I support Hillary, but keep her away from email questions. 

 

Looks like the media has its story of the week. People are making it seem like she is blaming this on a "black man." (their quote, not mine). I thought she was just pointing out that it wasn't uncommon for people in their profession to use personal accounts.

Jane is definitely leaving in my opinion. GH is setting it up with the Luke mentions and the high quality scenes  with people she normally doesn't get much to do with. The scenes with Tracy and Laura and Tracy and Lulu were my favorite. But also good to see her and Paul talking about Dillon.

 

And Jane is looking very refreshed like she made the decision to go and is happy about it (of course, the long hair helps - ha). I'm going to miss her!!! But I guess I'l be able to focus completely on work and grad school (which I just started). Forgot what it's like to be back in school. So overwhelming. I don't know how people with kids work full-time and go to grad school. Seems impossible!!!

If she wins, it might be better to put in someone further left to "prove" she is more liberal. I know she was one of the most liberal senators, but too many forget that that. I can't even. It's not even like his words are open to interpretation. Obama is the founder of ISIS. Literally. Let that be inflammatory. Next day, don't you get sarcasm? And his 2nd Amendment Comment... If she gets to pick her judges means she's been elected. He wasn't calling for people to vote, he was inciting violence. There's no interpretation there. Now, I realize that Hillary said in 2008 in a newspaper interview (not a rally to crazed supporters) she wasn't dropping out because of what happened to RFK. It was tacky and wrong (and she apologized), but THAT was open to interpretation.

I read some Twitter comments that she's winning them over simply by napping, lol. Trump and now Miller make fun of her napping, which I don't even know if she does everyday, but the comments were like, "We millennials like naps." 

If anyone is baiting, it's Elizabeth Warren and I don't even care. Let her give him a taste of his own medicine.

Congress is getting notes from Clinton's meeting with FBI regarding Clinton Foundation. The witch hunt continues, I see. 

 

I haven't really been following. What happened with that? A Clinton Foundation official wanted Hillary's senior aides to get a job for someone? There's got to be more to it because I'm pretty sure most people get jobs because they know someone.

 

And that article about Clintons donating to themselves was inaccurate, I assume?

A woman protester interrupted, Trump called her crazy person screaming but didn't know if she was friend or foe, but then he got a closer look and determined she was nuts. Says she looks like Hillary, tells her to say hi to Bill. 

 

Trump tells crowd he might lie to them like Hillary but he won't lie to Giacomo, a Make a Wish kid who wants to be part of Trump's campaign. He tells him he's gonna build that wall and crowd yells Mexico is going to pay for it. He's got some serious wall people. 

 

He calls NY Times garbage and dishonest. Wants to take away their credentials. He thinks maybe the Washington Post can get theirs back though. 

 

He announces he is no longer running against CrookedHillary but instead the Crooked Media. 

 

If you don't elect him, he will never speak to you again (Connecticut). He loves them though and other states too but will never forgive them. Imagine all time, money, energy wasted if you lose... 

 

You can't make this stuff up.... *sigh*

This is so sad. And I looked at the comments from the AOL article of this, and they are disgusting. Comments like "1 down, however many more million to go." Article's been updated. The second victim has died.
