  1. So this is minor compared to everything else, but Trump and his team left the press behind. They didn't even know Trump was headed to St. Louis until Kellyanne tweeted it. It just made me think of how angry the press got when Hillary wouldn't let them travel with her when she was sick...

  2. So it looks like the moderators came up with question and Hillary won coin toss and is answering first...

I know the GOP is imploding and that is good for Hillary supporters. But... *pessimism alert*... Trump is in a position now where he can't sink much deeper. Hillary, on the other hand, is so close to the top, she can only fall from here.

Any responses to Bill's past and what she may or may not have done need to be calm, not defensive, and to the point. I'm sure her team is all over this and has a plan, but in the end, it comes down to her reaction and words in that particular moment.

His affairs aren't the issue for her. If history repeats itself, that will actually help her. It's the rumors that she tried to silence the women that I think she needs to be careful with. I want to believe that only hard core Trump supporters buy into that, but if someone is undecided, leaning Hillary, that stuff tonight could make a difference.

  3. By the way, Access Hollywood told Don Lemon they have lot more stuff even more damaging than what we have heard.

Do we know the source? A network, specific journalist, someone on Hillary's campaign? Could it be someone from Trump's team? I had to laugh at the tweet about the tax returns using the line from that movie When a Stranger Calls... "The tax returns are coming from the inside of the house."

  4. Sorry if this is a stupid question, if he had been interested, would Bill have been able to be Hillary's running mate given he was President twice? I don't know how it works, if could run for VP or not?

I just looked it up, and the Constitution says that no one can be elected to the office more than twice, but there appears to be wiggle room because is a VP who succeeds a President technically "elected" to the Presidency?

There would also be electoral college concerns because the VP and President cannot be from the same state, so they couldn't both get all of NY's electoral votes. But this can solved if one of them declared residency in their old state like when Cheney changed Texas to Wyoming.

  5. Apparently this was in one of Powell's emails...

I would rather not have to vote for her, although she is a friend I respect. A 70-year-old person with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still d**king bimbos at home.

He's not exactly breaking any news with this, so I don't think it will hurt her. I also see Hillary as extraordinarily ambitious. She wouldn't be where is if she weren't. I don't see anything wrong with that. I'll also agree that she's not going to transform anything, but with Trump running, the status quo never looked so good.

As for Bill, well, if he couldn't control his impulses when he was literally in the oval office, there is no reason to think he's doing so now. Again, I don't much care under the circumstances.  I expect HRC to play blocker against the republicans, more than I expect her to actually get a lot of her own agenda accomplished. If scandal comes along that shouldn't stop her from blocking the way it derailed Bill Clinton's time in office. At least, that's my hope.

I don't think it will hurt her either, but I don't like how he links her to Bill, as that as anything to do with how she could run the country. Also, in my opinion, he was using "unbridled ambition" as an insult. I like the fact that she's determined and also detailed-oriented (something else that she is given a hard time about). It's possible she won't be a transformational president, but he makes it sound like she hasn't done anything in her entire career, which to me, is insulting. Especially for a "friend" to say that.

Assuming she is elected, he would be a perfect Sec of State.  He knows every president and prime minister on earth, and he could probably solve some problems the way he helped in Northern Ireland and almost in Palestine.  Plus he has all those contacts from his foundation to schmooze into action.   Not sure where else he would be as effective, unless they plan on splitting the presidency between the two of them.   She has to be smart enough to not just squander him as a first spouse.

She made a comment in one of her interviews that she wanted him to advise her on dealing with the economy, and I read that she got a lot crap for that comment. If she wins, I think he'll have some kind of role, but I bet they make every effort to keep it quiet.

  6. Apparently this was in one of Powell's emails...

I would rather not have to vote for her, although she is a friend I respect. A 70-year-old person with a long track record, unbridled ambition, greedy, not transformational, with a husband still d**king bimbos at home.

  7. If Assange had anything he'd drop it now to distract from Trump's meltdown. This is just him being clickbait-y. So far I'm not seeing any bites other than the Trumpanzees.

IMO, if Trump can "joke" about assassinating Hillary, Hillary can actually joke about offing Assange.

I think his team or whoever might be in the process of forging documents.

LOL, the former lead Whitewater prosecutor just endorsed Hillary because he doesn't want to see President Trump. Love it!

  8. 2. WikiLeaks cancelled their drop citing "Security reasons". But they did drop something today that included a quote from Clinton jokingly saying about Assange "Can't we just drone him". Like people are going to be outraged by this. I used to think Assange was doing a service until those drops exposing those Turkish women and Saudi innocents and his recent drops about Syrian money exchanges between Russia and Assad where they allegedly "lost" the emails that showed the money going directly to Russia. Assange has let it go to his head and is now using it to fabricate issues to take down people he doesn't like rather than exposing real troubling information.

What's the consensus on this? I'm thinking only Trump supporters are running with it. What about the media?

  9. I didn't know their history, but I know that this election year, they barely went after Trump, unless you count recently. I did hear their editorial board gave an amazing endorsement of her though.

Josh of Talking Points Memo got a bunch of Dems to take back the frog, featuring Kermit with hashtags such as #takingbackthefrog and #imwithker.

  10. So of course 24 hours after I give kudos to the NY Times, they have to publish this crap, which is more of a novel than an article.

It's all about Bill, Gennifer, Monica and a little bit of Paula and what Hillary may or may not have done to discredit and or destroy the women.

    http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/10/03/us/politics/hillary-bill-clinton-women.html?smid=tw-nytpolitics&smtyp=cur&referer=https://t.co/Wcb3hEm3XK

Betsy Wright, former Bill campaign chair, "It is reprehensible that The New York Times is joining The National Enquirer and Donald Trump by dredging up irrelevant slime from the past."

Also, Bill and Hillary refused to be interviewed. Brian Fallon of her campaign says, "The country closed the book on these matters close to 20 years ago, and there is nothing whatsoever new here."

  11. This week: Obama in FL, Bill in OH/MI, Biden in FL, Michelle in NC, Bernie in IA/MN/WI, Elizabeth in NV

That's great; however, I need one of them to come to GA and tilt the damn scales in HRC's favor. HRC is practically thisclose to winning GA. They need to get on it.

Maybe they are sending Kaine there?

  12. The DNC server is what he hacked, right? I think the only damaging stuff on there would be Bernie related, and it would be released in hopes of getting CNN and the Trump campaign to keep discussing the leaked audio (which wasn't even bad when you listen to it or read the transcript).

Where did those Huma and foundation emails come from? Those seemed to give the media a month's worth of material in August.

WikiLeaks doesn't hack they disclose info others get. THe DNC stuff was a lot of nothing as was the foundation stuff. Stone basically admitted he and Assange are potentially working to manufacture. He's a huge conspiracy theorist and just blamed our CIA director for making up the Russian break ins to election info. And Assange has been blowing for months on having info. Where is it? My guess is he's been hoping the Russian trolls with their hacking would find something.

Ah ok. I am hoping Wednesday comes and goes and if nothing is revealed, things will continue to look upward. But if there is something, I don't think it's anything major, but I think it will be presented like it is.

Meanwhile, Trump had his own 50 percent gaffe and recently grabbed a female reporter's wrist and silence from the media. At least they are reporting the latest (I assume so anyway).

They have tried making that comment from the audio by HRC a story and it went no where. She actually said nothing wrong and you even have Bernie supporters who don't like HRC coming out and supporting it. Sanders this morning on CNN with Jake Tapper make him look like a fool. He said "you're trying to make a non story a story when we have evidence of what we've been saying all along about how the rich don't pay taxes? And Trump's tax plan continues to favor those same people. I think your focus is misdirected."  Of course Tapper is basically a male hair model anyway.

But didn't the foundation story with the Huma's emails hurt her? I don't think the media even came close to covering Trump's foundation the way they did hers. IMO, the supposed surprise could go either way. Not a big deal like the Bernie audio or somewhat of a big deal like the foundation. I think the media had every right to investigate but once nothing was discovered, they should have let it go, and they didn't.

Hurt her how. She got a huge bounce from the convention that was never going to last, she never fell behind Trump in the polls so? I think the fact is(PLEASE READ @PROPANE_JANE and not the MSM talking points) is if you follow Sam Wang(not Nate Silver this election) you find his methodology shows very little swing. What HRC has that is not not going to change and will support her are the democrats yes even the whiney Bernie supporters and same with Trump. HIs numbers will not change because his supporters are the SAME VOTERS WHO VOTED FOR ROMNEY. Actually a tad less. As long as democrats turn out(and we've already seen democrats killing the GOP in early voting) she's going to win and win easily. I'm no longer going to allow myself to get stressed over what might be that will never happen or the MSM talking points which still wants it to be a horserace.

I have to say once I stopped checking out Nate Silver, I was a lot less stressed. Obviously, I am still worried, but not as much as I was before. I came across Propane_Jane's account awhile back but just started visiting again after it was mentioned here. Also, Obama's 2012 campaign manager tweeted to stop panicking; that she's going to win, so that's another positive.
