  1. As far as I'm concerned Lisa is unimpeachably fabulous. I don't care if she lights Brandi's cast on fire while drowning Kim in Adrienne's kitchen sink, the woman is brilliant.

Brandi's never going to be Lisa's BFF because of the Cedric connection. And to be frank I don't think Lisa is blindly loyal to Kyle, Lisa's British, she's always going to see through a lot of the bullshit that the other women don't.

Lisa's lived in MONACO for God's sake, all of these women are backwood hicks compared to the people she's mingled with over the years.

    +1

And I never do any of that "+1" because I think it's a waste of space :)

I think that as of this moment, what we're seeing play out onscreen, that Lisa and Adrienne merely don't have all their facts of how the night really played out. They can only go by what people are telling them, even if it is one-sided. And if Camille, Taylor, or Dana are too chickensh-t to explain how it all went down in a non-biased 3rd party point-of-view, that's not Lisa nor Adrienne's fault.

  2. Theresa. My theory about why she's gone so balls to the wall bitch is she's doing it to fix her and her husbands finances. Stirring crap makes you more appealing to the magazines. Talking crap in a book sells more books. I didn't think I would like her family members more than her at the beginning of this season but that is how it worked.

Absolutely. No doubt about it. The problem is, she's gone too far now. And fans/viewers are turning their backs on her. I'm sure she's still selling magazines though, so all is not lost.... yet.

  3. I'm guessing Dina and Caroline's strained relationship will be resolved once Caroline is no longer on the Housewives series. Dina is definitely smart (and okay, a user) in using Teresa's friendship for her benefit in hopes that Tre will choose Project Ladybug as the charity she's playing for on Celebrity Apprentice.

Jacqueline a stripper? Big effin' deal. So was Camille, NeNe, and half the other housewives. Next...

  4. Well, we can get a little more insight in their Bravo blogs. Adrienne said she would've handled things differently had she known the whole story and/or had actually been there on Game Night to see the events unfold. She said she wouldn't have had pressured Brandi to apologize the way she did.

Yes, Dana is just an annoyance, plain 'n simple. Just one of those grating personalities where you just wanna squeeze their head until it pops.

Kyle continues to apologize and feels bad and takes responsibility for her own actions. I just like her, Mean Girl that she may be. She's a lil [!@#$%^&*]-starter but I love her. smile.png

Kyle said in her blog that she didn't like how Camille said in the confessionals that she was the target of Kyle last year, because as we all know, that wasn't the case. Camille read into something that wasn't so and refused to believe that she had misheard what Kyle said and kept the drama going. And that Dinner Party from Hell was a total "set up", a phrase Camille loved to use at the reunion last year. So it's no surprise she's flying under the radar this year. But yes, now she's just become insignificant. Kind of like ATL's Sheree during the latter half of last season.

Kim reminds me of a close friend I finally broke away from recently, who just seems to be coddled and babied by others around him, because he refused to grow the eff up and take ownership of being an adult. He still thinks of himself as a kid with no responsibilities and no consequences for their actions, verbal or physical, and for some reason, his enabler friend always made excuses for him. I see that in Kim and Kyle (and, well, the rest of the housewives). Kim says and does weird zany stuff, says rude comments, behaves off the charts, and it's excused for whatever reason.

    I can't believe I'm so into this [!@#$%^&*] LOL

  5. Revenge is the best new show of the fall. This weeks episode was classic soap nirvana. I was glued to my freaking TV screen the entire time. Madelaine Stowe is a goddess and the best soap villianess since Joan Collins. She is such a bitch but there such vulnerability there. The stuff with Lydia was just classic soap and the scene with her and Victoria at the GALA OMG that was amazeballs. Revenge IMO is gold TV, ABC needs to promote it bigtime. Its just the best show on TV.

Haha, I agree. That actress is a riot to watch because she oozes that sexual energy where you're not sure whether to lust after her or fear she'll chop off your b-lls! Plus, that deep drag-queen voice... haha... just love it.

  6. Tonight, the show's CGI was showing unfortunately. There were a few scenes that looked fake. Still, this is the only network show that I get truly excited about. So glad it got a full season.

I agree about the CGI. Still passes for realistic enough though. Although the image of Lydia falling was just amateurish. That shot wasn't necessary for the impact of the event. Still loving this show, though. Complicated, but not TOO complicated, is the perfect way to describe it.

  7. Why is everyone doggin Dylan McDermott? I like his character, and I always enjoyed the actor on The Practice, as well as Steele Magnolias and Miracle on 34th Street :P I think his moody edge fits the show perfectly. Plus, he's looking better than he ever has, especially from the neck down! Nice ass ;)

I'm liking this show. It's not my usual cup of tea, but it's like watching a continuing horror movie. These days, I'm digging short-lived / season-long series, so if their story arc concludes in one season, I'm all for it.

  8. The only Matt storylines I really liked were the brief "marriage" to the Russian woman, only because I loved her daughter played by Mara Wilson. Then, there was the good ol' Season 3 cliffhanger storyline with the doctor setting Matt up for his wife's murder. Other than that, it was one moody boyfriend after the other, whether they were HIV positive or a closeted soap actor, etc. I hated how Matt was always so offended that his "lovers" weren't open and out. It's like DUH! It's the 90's! Guys don't want to lose their jobs! They don't want to be bashed or ostracised! Matt was so one-dimensional in his insistence that his "lovers" be out, proud, and waving a rainbow flag.

  9. You really like season 6? I thought it was an awful mess.

I loved Jennifer. She was one of my favorite parts of the season especially her relationship with

    Billy

towards the end. Yeah she was a Sydney clone but I didnt mind

Craig was awful. The WORST main character created post-season 1 IMO. There was nothing likeable about him and he was highly annoying. He was brought on as a foil to Michael but I found myself always rooting for Michael even though he was painted out to always be in the wrong. Speaking of which the writing for Michael was so goofy and stupid. He was a good villian in the early seasons with such a likeable charm about him which kept you from hating him but he became a joke here, a real buffon. Season 6 Michael is more like an exagerated caricature of the character

Thats EXACTLY how I would describe it as. By this point, you are only watching bc you've already invested 5 seasons into this show and characters adn want to see it till the end before it gets cancelled bc S6 was so bad, that that was inevitable

Speaking of Amanda, didnt they cut the season short bc she was pregnant? I think it ended in like Feb or March. I had no clue the final season 6 episodes wernt in the DVD set. Thats odd bc while it was tacked together with season 7, it was like a night and day difference between the 2 episodes that marked the transition

Speaking of season 7, it marks the return of Jane! That automatically made me interested with the show again.

Also aMLC, keep an eye out for Lexie. She goes through one of the most DRASTIC transformations ever on this show. I cant even remember if there's a reason given for her change but she's like 2 different characters from season 6 to 7.

Yes, it's funny how Lexi changes because all through season 6 she is so sweet and innocent, and then BAM! Pure bitchy goodness.

Yes, I loved the return of Jane. When Michael sees her, it's like this glimpse back into the past Melrose magic.

Heather Locklear had her baby in October 1997 I think, and they did a lot of pre-taping and post-taping.

What happened is that Melrose's ratings were sharply declining, so FOX decided to pull the last 6-7 (can't remember which number so I'll go with SIX!) episodes from the 1997-98 season and had the show's finale in March (it was actually just a normal episode, not a "finale" episode) and then they ran the remaining episodes of Season 6 during the summer, to try to recapture the magic of the past when FOX would air their younger-skewing shows during the summer months ahead of the fall schedule.

It'll be quite noticable to see the change between the leftovers of season 6 and the start of season 7 when they release it on DVD, not only because of the huge cast changes, but because there's also a time gap (I think 3 months). That's how it originally aired too. Suddenly it's 3 months later.

  10. Season 6 is turning out to be pretty good. I still can't stand Taylor. I can't stand jennifer. The show is weaker with all the core folks gone but it's still good turing out to b e better than season 5. I don't like Craig. Like why is he even there?

My bf and I recently rewatched season 6 and it's more like trainwreck / watching-out-of-loyalty TV. It's not gripping drama, nor are their clear identifiable characteristics, but it's campy craziness. I remember when David Charvet (Craig) left the show, and Soap Opera Digest made a lil blurb about it, saying "from the moment he joined MP, it looked like he didn't want to be there." So very true!

One thing that made us not enjoy this season as much was the lack of Heather Locklear. She was pregnant in real life, so a lot of her screentime was reduced before and after she had the baby, although I must say they did a pretty good job at covering up her pregnancy (though she constantly wore black). But even after she returned, they did not write Amanda correctly. She seemed to give up on life and not fight. That's not the Amanda we know and love!

And what she does on a whim at the end of this season--- I won't spoil it if you're not there yet--- is just a WTF? moment.

I wish they had included those last 6-7 episodes that were originally supposed to be part of Season 6 on to this DVD set. It's funny how there'll be this mass exodus of characters leaving during the 7th episode into the 7th season, and there'll suddenly be an updated opening & new castmembers. And the focus totally changes in the last season, for the better.

  11. RHOBH

Um, Dana, sit your ass DOWN, bitch. Her desperation reeks. Now she's talking like she, Kyle and Kim have had this unbreakable bond of friendship for years?! They just met! And I thought Kim was the resident loon.

OMG, I LOLed at Kyle's reaction to Dana yammering on about "This is our time" or whatever she was saying, like she, Kyle and Kim were going on some long life journey together. Kyle is like, "who?" Her facial reaction was priceless. Dana indeed reeks of desperation. Even the newly reserved Camille had to admit to Dana's desperation to come into their lil group.

Also loved Lisa's attempt to start a conversation with Brandi, which led nowhere. LOL A for effort!

  12. See, I'm not sure about Caroline not being close to her gay brother Jamie. She was on WWHL a few weeks ago, after the Black Water premiere episode where she had a crazy hairdo. Andy asked her about it, and she said she was driving with Jamie and he wanted to make her hair fun... so on the car ride to the premiere party, Jamie fixed her hair and they had fun with it.

    So not really sure now...

Yeah, exactly, there's conflicting reports. Even seeing those scenes with her other son and her daughter at the radio show, they seemed genuinely happy, not just putting on a performance for the cameras. So if she really is a terror mama, they're all excellent actors at covering it up!

  13. Grudging respect for Kyle for (a) owning up to being mean, ( b ) actually having the decency to feel embarassed and remorseful about it and ( c ) not blaming Bravo for the "editing." Heck, even Camille pulled that latter excuse.

I miss Dina "Bubies" Manzo, too, Cheap. She was my favorite of the NJ housewives the first two seasons. Shocked that she and Caroline are on the outs, though. I know Dina is Audriana's godmother but D + C always had each other's back. There's more going on here than any of these peeps are willing to admit to. Jealousy on all sides seems to be a part of it. That and an unwillingness to admit when they might be wrong. Maybe they should take a page out of Kyle's book.

Yeah, there's definitely more to the story. I can't believe that Theresa is the sole reason why Caroline and Dina are on the outs with each other. I know it's been reported (and well, seen onscreen) that Caroline likes to run the show and be the ringleader, but Dina likes to do her own thing without being treated like a puppet. Plus, there's the reports that Caroline isn't close with her gay brother either (the one we just saw at Jacqueline's house, right?) Then there's the Albie-is-gay-and-Caroline-doesn't-approve rumor. So who really knows what family feuds are going on. They're just not exploiting it like the Guidices/Jorgas.

  14. Loving this show too! It's definitely a show you have to (or at least *I* do) watch twice just to make sure you don't miss tiny but important parts. Makes me want to rewatch the first few episodes so that I can keep track better.

And YES to everyone else's opinions that it's great that this is a straight-up DRAMA. Pure soapy goodness. No cutesy background music or lighthearted tongue-in-cheek Lynette Scavo filler.

This and CW's Ringer are must-see primetime soaps for me.

  15. Remember her comments about Camille's "psychic"? The one "puh-puh-puffing away" on her electric cigarette? laugh.png

Can you imagine the beat-down that psychic joke would've received had she tried that [!@#$%^&*] in Atlanta? OMG, to see that woman put in her place by NeNe would be reality HEAVEN for me! I absolutely loathed that woman. LOL

  16. Just watched BH last night.... wow!!!! LOL So many hilarious moments!

Dana acts like she's walking the red carpet 24/7... who asked her what designer labels she's wearing? Or her shoes? Nobody! Oh, don't worry, she'll let you know regardless!

And she was practically begging Camille to let her stay at her house in Hawaii! Ugh. This woman is the definition of pathetic. Talk about a desperate housewife (oops, she's not married yet... still planning that mega-million wedding!)

How strange is it to see Camille biting her tongue, refusing to let herself get involved in ANY conflict? LOL She was so vague to Brandi in her answers about Kim, nor gave any true insight into her own battles with Kyle. She's so Switzerland-neutral. Oh well. Best to just sit back and watch the others claw each other's hair out.

Kyle... I'm sorry, but I love her. I know she came off really bad and Mean Girly last night (you could tell there was no good intention in starting some lil IQ game with Brandi) but Kim was even worse. I mean serious straight-up junior high playground antics. "I don't want her on our team!" :::pout::: This woman is so clearly doped up on something, and it truly was like the big polka-dotted elephant in the room. You could see it on Camille's face. You could see the concern on Kyle's face. But nobody dare actually admit it. So it will be fun to see the fur fly next week!

Loved seeing adorable Lisa get emotional over her daughter's engagement smile.png

P.S. Just a random observation: Why couldn't they get a decent audio recording of Adrienne's line in the opening credits? Her voice sounds SO hoarse, I can barely understand what she says!

  17. I think AshLEE rolleyes.gif is horrendous but necessary for the show. Jacqueline's interaction with her, Chris and her ex-husband was the best part of this past season. It would be great to see that idiot getting some payback, actually.

Watching RHONY Season 3. I know I am behind you guys but I just had to comment here. Holy [!@#$%^&*] and/or LMAO at:

-LuAnn's "producer" for Money Can't Buy You Class.

-Ramona paddling around the Virgin Islands in full snorkeling gear, floaters and a noodle.

-Sonja not going swimming because she didn't want to waste a good hair day.

-Bethenny's mega-prego face during the interview VTs.

-Kelly leaving her Prozac and Ritalin at home.

    -Alex's uncontrollable huh-huh-huh laugh.

-Bethenny (about Kelly): "Bye lunatic. I'm going to the Hooters boat to talk to some sane people."

-That toxic, self-absorbed bitch Jill getting in the way of pro skaters like Johnny Weir on the ice-rink -- and being told to take her famewhore ass and [!@#$%^&*] off by an angry Russian skating coach.

    -Jill: "Wuh-mo-nuh! Wuh-mo-nuh! Suh-PROIZE!" Ramona: closedeyes.jpg Bethenny: blink.png Alex: ohmy.png

-Bobby Zarin trying to smooth things over. Even though I hate his wife, I really like him.

-Jill finally getting a taste of her own medicine and having her ass meangirled off the Virgin Islands. The most satisfying piece of television I have seen in years.

-LuAnn hastily backpedaling with Bethenny when she realizes Jill is no longer Queen Bee anymore.

Oh boy, you SO are selling me on buying previous NYC seasons to catch up!

  18. Interesting, so now that Tre is on the outs with everyone they bring in Shelia as her ally?? Hmmmmm

It says that Sheila isn't a fan of Teresa's but desperately wants to get on the show so she's "switching alliances". Guess they need to cast a friend for Teresa and Sheila is willing to play that role? Ugh... so forced.

  19. Wow have we ever had a Housewives season that ended with a cliffhanger?

Yeah, I was very surprised by that too. It seemed like an incomplete ending. I wonder if they're going to bring on season 4 really quickly? Like before the new year? But then that would mean 3 shows (NJ, BH, and ATL) airing at the same time.

  20. What to be said about Beverly Hills...

Brandi constantly puts her foot in her mouth. She thinks she's ballsy, but she's really just ignorant or socially awkward. That's my impression.

Dana ("did you hear?" ::::points to sunglasses:::: "25,000!") is the epitome of desperation. Don't like her. Nice, but desperate.

I'm looking forward to the "SLUT PIG" blow-out that'll start on next week's episode!

Camille is just there. She clearly wants to fly under the radar this season and not be considered the villainess.

Kim is a mess. Taylor is a mess. It's a battle to the bottom.

I'm enjoying BH; it doesn't seem forced. Yet.
