  1. So are they going to put them out again on DVD? Id love to see more 80s stuff of the show.

You need to pick up the DVD collection. It is a treasure to have! Can't wait! I wish they would start with the Bubba years. I can't stand the Buzz and Sonya years…yuck!
  3. I was listening to this song earlier today on iTunes. It is one of my favorites.
  4. bottle
  5. Federer is no longer working with Edberg. He has hired Ivan Lubjakic as his new coach. Federer's career is officially done. Madison Keys has parted ways with Lyndsey Davenport.

  7. Its sad the show fell apart after Marland's death. I am sure a lot of vets were crossing their fingers for the best to no avail. I had high hopes when FMB and Lorraine Broderick were brought on board. I thought they would save ATWT. They started off really strong and the ratings went up but then FMB had to hire her friends and LB writing went south. The ratings for ATWT after Marland's death were still good/great…I think it was because the bible Marland left was still being used. But the more than a year comment by Wagner makes me think that his bible was over in late winter 94 because thats when the ratings started sliding and the stories weren't the same.
  8. Speaking of Kelly..what has happened to her career? I agree that her last album was pretty good but didnt muster any hits. There were some songs I was going to download from iTunes but forgot and never bought them.
  9. I noticed she had gotten a lot of nominations but IMO Blank Space is in no way Song or Record of the year…its one of my least favorite from her album.
  10. She was my favorite too.
  11. I can't speak on whether it was across the board but IMO, everything on ATWT started to dip around the mid 90s. There were still some good storylines but a LOT of poor ones and all inconsistently told. The stories went downhill once Marland passed. The writers had no clue what they were doing. The show's cancellation notice was in 93 when Marland left the show.
  12. Yeah, John looks real good doesn't he? I noticed last night that he had returned to acting. I need to see his work from 2000 on that were movies…Here is a video on his music…its about 6 years old…from 2009….man does he still look good…or even better….I agree with Khan and you about him….he was a great find…too bad TPTB couldn't convince him to stay…and its great to see he is still acting. Dani was written worse than Ryder. I did like Ryder and Kerr Smith in the role. I forget if this was pre or post Dawson's Creek. The problem with Ryder was the writing and he just didnt seem like a Hughes. I think John Dauer would have made a better Ryder even though the writing for the character wasn't every good. Here is a clip of Jeremy, Dani and Nikki with Hal and others….. A nice gem with Jeff…I liked him….too bad his character was again written so badly
  13. I think Noelle was just too saccharine for Lily, which says a lot b/c it doesn't get anymore saccharine than Lily. at you saying Jeremy probably made him realize he was gay. I don't remember much about this pairing but I do remember Nikki being moody a lot and not liking Carly. Heather Rattray's Lily was not generic or saccharine…. Yes, Nikki was moody a lot but the pairing of her and Jeremy were liked by the fans of the show. That sounds just awful and depressing…LOL….I liked Nikki more than Dani…I think it was the actress that played Dani I didnt care for.
  14. I think he would have done the story well. He would have been better than Van Hansis. Van was good at the beginning but went downhill with all the hype. He got a little bit better when Dr. Reid showed up. I loved how Dr. Reid didn't take any of his SHT at the beginning…LOL
  15. Ugh…didnt care for either character or actor in the role….for me the characters weren't ATWT …they just seemed out of place. I had forgotten it was his decision to leave the show. He sure was good in the role. Didnt he leave for college in the show and never heard again? LOL….ummm…it took me a long time to get use to Hunk Block as Craig…by the time that happened his character had become one big joke…. Figures Goutman wrote him out….he wrote out Andy, Scott Bryce's Craig, and Martha Byrne's Lily…..I wouldn't have mind MB being tossed out the way she was but Noelle Beck was just not Lily….and I would have loved to have seen Rattray back in the role. MB praised Goutman till the cows came in only to be double crossed by him….sad….
  16. But didn't FMB bring him back a year later around the church fire? And he was tossed in Molly's orbit shortly after? He left in November or December 1995 and returned around summer 1997 for the fire. Then he stayed for a few years. Probably one of about three positive decisions FMB made. At the time I was angry about the mass firings at ATWT in summer '95, as I knew that the last of "my" ATWT was now officially dead (which it was), but looking back I can understand the decisions to get rid of most of the people they got rid of, although I do think they made a mistake in writing out Pete and Julie (I would have killed Caleb and left Julie as a scheming widow) and a big mistake in writing out Andy. The real problem was the people they replaced these characters with were absolute horseshit. Pete was the character that Jason Biggs played, right? Glad to hear that FMB got that right. I always felt that Andy should've been on the show to the very end. But IDK if he would've meshed well with RH's Paul. Yes Jason Biggs played Petey. I didnt care for the character or actor. As for Julie …it was a mistake to let her go….after the whole Aaron secret came out she was reduced to nothing. Andy was involved with Denise and had a child with her. I forgot who wrote him out but another mistake in letting him go once again.
  17. IMO it would have been better for Marland to bring back Chuckie. I don't recall the circumstances of his death but Scott's birth and explanation come out of left field and made zero sense. I remember that fans of the show were in an uproar during the story. They flat out hated it. Joseph Breen was great in the role and I did like a rivalry for Tom but once Breen left the character became useless. I liked the recast but he was a totally different character. Jeremy was one of Marland's great new addition to the cast IMO. The actor could act and had chemistry with Jordana Brewster. I remember he was popular with the fans. I thought he was also going to be part of the next generation. It is too bad they didnt know what to do with his character.
  18. That was downright awful! At that point it was time to say goodbye to Sheila….they had run out of ideas.
  19. Actually Goutman fired Bryce because fans weren't liking the story and actually felt bad/sorry for Craig…and thats what Goutman didnt want…he wanted Craig hated and loathed…so Goutman complained how Bryce wasn't right for the role…wasn't playing Craig the way he should be…..this from the man that created the role…who better to know what Craig was all about but him…..
  20. Very true. After seeing how SB's Craig was compared to the Craig I was used to (Hunt Block), I'd be peeved as a long-term ATWT fan too. His arc into becoming a model citizen and loving husband was all stripped away when they basically made him into a common criminal/international terrorist of some sort. Wasn't Dusty studying to be a doctor when Brian Bloom left the show? I always wondered why they dropped that and brought him back as a mobster-like character. Do you think it was b/c Hogan was influenced by GH? He has said in interviews during the time he was at World Turns that his favorite male characters on soaps were Sonny Corinthos and Victor Newman.... My Craig memories are foggy…but he wasn't sweet and innocent at the beginning….although we thought he was…once the whole Betsy story hit the roof in 83…we found out he was evil….tried to kill Steve in a truck explosion…and I believe he was the one who got caught in that truck and he was the one injured and I think became impotent….went to jail……Lila, his mother, looked like a fool because she believed all his lies….she finally wised up to his dirty dealings..and shady life….I believe she told him off ….later he got out of jail…don't remember how….became a good guy and then Steve was the one that became the bad guy….When Scott Bryce returned after the miscast of Hunt Block and Meeks and Linderstorm….Lord…what awful recasts….I was thrilled….that didnt last as his character was written horribly and trashed…..SB complained about it….Goutman fired him….then after that I think started the MB firing from Goutman as well..
