  1. Awww......Claire got arrested. What was the point of that? Even though she screamed, "I'll be back!!" when she was arrested, I prefered her escaping the fire and leaving that red shoe behind.

I have a soft spot for Jacqui. She's a cow and she treats people horribly but she's very insecure underneath, she's a good person deep down. Like the way she was before she got pregnant and then learned she could not carry a child. She's been damaged since then, she lost her warm, caring side. I think Claire Cooper is a brilliant actress and I love watching her, so I put up with a lot from Jacqui I probably wouldn't from someone like Sasha, who can't act. I want Jacqui to finally get new stories, better stories.

Word. Claire Cooper makes me like Jacqui....I think it's the blue eye shadow. But really, I love it when she's yelling at other people, she's scary in a sexy way. LOL

I hope she's really hot. The show took a hit (in the hottie department) after losing Roxanne and Sarah Jayne Dunn.

  2. Poor Hannah realizing that Justin had left without her in Wednesday's episode.

    "Forever" :( Poor Hannah.

Loved Josh and Rhys fighting and how Josh sticks up for his sister.

I really hope Hannah's exit if reuniting with Justin, I hope they don't kill her off in December.

    I hope you're right.

That was a nice ending scene with Russ and Justin driving off

Yeah, I loved the long establishing shot with the music playing....and there were no previews (of other shows) playing. I love it when the show does that for "special" episodes.

You should check out the opening for the other Brit soaps. :lol:Coronation Street's opening will put you to sleep. I like the Hollyoaks opening because we see the cast in it.

    LOL True.

For Hollyoaks, I love the graphics/photos of the cast too. I'm not that big of a fan of the music though.

  3. Ack! Day-Ahead spoilers, Alvin!!!! ;)

Loved both endings with Hannah/Justin on Monday/Tuesday, Monday's was slightly better because they had the "Chasing Cars" instrumental. LOL

Kieron Richardson makes Ste so interesting. I'm going to miss the friendship with Justin.

Still don't like Ste but I do think Kieron is a good actor. And I did like his friendship with Justin.

  4. Friday's ep was awesome! Warren's death with the mirror falling on him ( :o) has got to be nominated for Best Exit at next year's BSA's. I don't think I've ever seen a soap death like that before.

Clare will be back next week...

I didn't know that too! Sweet! I thought she would only be on for these 2 eps, so I thought the shot of the red shoe was to tell us she's not dead but she'd be back....one day.

Also, I thought Justin was supposed to die in the fire with Warren. Thank God, I was retardedly misinformed. LOL

I thought Justin was going to die in the fire too. That was a nice surprise to see him surive the fire.

I'm a bit surprised no one in America has tried to hire Gemma, I can see her as perfect casting about some American yokel who brings home a crazy British girlfriend.

I would love to see her make it big in America too, but I'm afraid producers might think she's a bit "big boned". :(

  5. Yeah, I believe the stuff at the start of each episode was all Kirkwood. I don't remember it being there in episodes before he joined.

I hope Lucy Allen keeps the fantasy elements then.

I made Clare edits for today's ep. :D

I love the directing! All the close ups, different angles, and the mirror shot. I also love the show's background music - I think I appreciate it more because BG music isn't used a lot but when they do, it's awesome.

  6. I'm even going to almost miss Warren, he's at his best with people like Clare and Justin. They shouldn't have moved him towards Louise and Sasha and Mandy.

I've always liked Warren as the bad guy. Who's going to take his place as the resident bad guy? All the young bad guys I don't like - Ste, or the guy who picks on Anita.

I didn't like Sasha coming into Warren's orbit either.

Here's a good article, although I should point out that Hollyoaks did have years of gripping stories before Kirkwood took over, it's just that the last few years before him were seen as poor.

Was Kirkwood responsible for the fantasy elements (which I love) at the beginning of the episode or was that of the show since the beginning?

  7. Clare!!! It was so great to see her again. She's so evil, so much fun to watch. Loved her tying Warren up and taunting him. LMAO at Warren saying to Clare he always wins, thinking Calvin was going to save him.

The Rhys and Hannah scenes were really good too, where he didn't let her out of the room and then eventually he does. Andrew Moss is a pretty good actor too. He does comedy and drama very well. And of course Emma Rigby rocks.

  8. I really enjoyed it too mainly because they sang songs I know. LOL Their version of "Don't Stop Believin" was awesome!

I liked Lea Michele/Rachel's voice and you could tell from her acting and signing that she's definitely from broadway - the way she projects everything.

I thought Cory Monteith/Finn's voice was kinda weak.

I love Ryan Murphy's TV work so I'm glad to see him back writing a show set in high school.

Season 1 - Episode information and ratings

  10. Beautiful 100th episode! I loved that Izz and Alex got married. I'm a little worried that because MerDer did NOT get married that they won't this season. I really want them too!!! :P

I'm happy Izzy/Alex got married too. I hope Meredith/Derek get married next season - the post-it wedding doesn't do it for me. LOL

    Oh my god.

    That was incredible.

Double-oh seven!!!! I remember that too..

Amazing. I was starting to think the first hour was better than the last ten minutes...

The last 5 minutes was amazing! :o <------- during the 007 finger writing scene. And then both Izzy/George dying at the same time and the both of them meeting in the elevator. Katherine Heigl looked so gorgeous in that dress.

This season's been kinda crappy but the cliffhanger was pretty good.

  11. Justin Timberlake is always a fantastic host!

So many great jokes in this skit! Loved this one: ""Publicly they'll claim to be virgins but privately, he hit it."

Which leads to........... "Dick in a box" sequel......"Mother Lover"

They should win another win another Emmy for "Mother Lover"

  12. The Warren/Calvin 2.5 minute fight was awesome!! In started the bar and ended in the streets. That kind of fight between them was coming for a long time.

I had to laugh at Darren though.

    Steph: Darren, do something!

    Darren: Are you mad?

I thought Jamie Lomas did a great job during the confession scene.

  13. Taping, the writing is usually done much longer in advanced, I believe.

Ah okay thanks. I figured the writing was done longer in advanced. I think they already know what they're going to do with Emma/Hannah's exit in Fall(?).

Hmm...I never noticed before but Nancy/Jessica Fox can be quite pretty. She currently looks really good with bangs/brown hair.

LOL at Carmel being having potato-phobia.

Poor Hannah getting hurt because of Ash.

  14. This is really gonna disappoint you: The storyline is only going to last 6 weeks.

Are you serious? Only 6 weeks? WTF? I haven't watched in a couple of weeks, so I'm very disappointed to hear that. I thought this was going to be a real story ala John-Paul/Craig on Hollyoaks. <_<

  15. Looks like Gemma will be returning exactly around the two year anniversary of the "Who Pushed Clare?" mystery.

God, 2007 was such a fantastic year for Hollyoaks. A true golden era. Clare's reign of terror and the John Paul/Craig stuff was the best stuff I watched that year, and I've never gotten over how great it all was.

I can't believe it's almost a year since Max died. I really miss him and OB. They were such a huge part of the show, and obviously Clare's storyline. The only thing that won't be the same this time around is Max and OB's absence when Clare comes back. I wonder if Clare will interact with Tom, I mean, she did try to poison him once.

I started a year too late. :( Everything I've seen from 2006 and 2007 has been awesome.

I want to see Clare interact with Tom too. I love the scene where Clare tells Tom everyone around him dies because of him. And then Tom runs away from Max. LOL
