  1. Toups where did you see Wednesday's episode?

    I'll PM you. ;)

    Thursday's episode -

I'm looking forward to see where Newt and Lauren's story will be going. Since the headmaster found Newt's condom in his office, will Newt and Lauren still have sex? I think they would and then we will have a consequence storyline on what happens when you have unprotected sex. Oh, those two are in so much trouble for stealing his money. LMAO

Who the hell decides to lose their virginity at school? LOL!! What's a "common room"? Is that like a teacher's lounge?

  2. Monday's ep

    Cindy: Yes, gothca!

    Louise: You!

    Cindy: You!??

Then the fight afterwards. Cindy using her own daughter as a spy. Rhys and Gilly sneaking in the the awards show.

    Tuesday's ep

Ravi/Leila's family - are they new or are they those characters who disappear for months and then return? It was nice seeing that family interaction.

Cindy and Louise fight again.

Ravi sees Cindy walking: "Who let the dogs out...wooo....woooo." LOL!!

    Wednesdays' ep

Mandy and Tony kiss!!!! :o:) I like these two together (well, I've only seen the Baby Grace episodes and Mandy's last episode with Tony in 2006).

Leo to Frankie: "What if they're getting jiggy?" And then he makes Newt/Lauren wear purity rings. LOL

Cindy blackmailing Warren - I love it that she knows about the affair! She's so fun to watch.

  3. Emma's leaving too? Damn, I liked her. So many are leaving! :(

I cannot wait for Louise to find out that Mandy is nothing but a man stealing biotch. LOL

Poor Cindy is getting blame. lol

Cindy getting the blame was perfect since she's such an instigator. LOL She did look good in that outfit though.

Mandy throwing the bottles at Warren and Calvin were funny.

    I'm not feeling Justin/Leila. I kinda liked Leila/Gilly better.

Jacqui is such a slapper, sleeping with that officer guy (who seems to be a creep).

  4. Whether it's Marty's work or not the music the last week on AMC has been really great. Love those violin and woodwind pieces, they remind me of Thomas Newman for soaps!

I thought they were just okay. I like piano and guitar pieces for sad scenes.

This piece from October 30th's episode sounds like Marty's piano notes.

think the only thing lacking about GHNS was the music, the show seemed so quiet without the traditional soap music.

The NS music was the same as GH's.

  5. Amy P is co-HW till she leaves when she has her baby--according to Ent Weekly tho the credits only list Seth.

Hm...are you sure? I don't think that's right. I've never heard or read that Amy was Co-HW. If she was, why wouldn't she be listed in the credits?

Tina of course writes the skits she's in which explains the big jump.

Tina said that Seth Myers writes the skits she's in, though Tina of course has inputs.

  6. Bryan Kirkwood with Roxanne McKee:

    8a_407long.jpg

    Roxanne

The actress that plays Mandy is underrated in her hotness!

I think she's the second hottest woman on the show! I'm gonna start doing Sarah Jayne Dunn/Mandy edits. :D

He is one of my favourite characters that never gets mentioned.

I like Rhys too. He's pretty funny. Like earlier this week with the scenes with Mandy.

  7. Roxanne can't act to save her poor life, and she expects to make it big in Hollywood?

She's extremely hot and those legs and that accent will get her casted in something (that sounds bad....but it's true! LOL). I just hope she has a good agent and manager. She's a decent enough of an actress to not follow the same path as another british hottie, Kelly Brook. I'll definitely keeping an eye on her career. I hope that Hollyoaks doesn't kill off Louise, that way if she fails, she can always come back. :)

  8. I decided to watch another funeral (Mel and Sophie's) - boy, Brian Kirkwood sure loved killing off people. LOL

The explosion at The Dog was really good! I felt so bad for Russ and Justin and Zoe (it was heartbreaking how she found out Joe died - the cell phone ringing). Here's part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTUvC_b-7eU There's 5 parts.

And here's the funeral: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8NWewoIXFQ There's 4 parts. It was very poetic how Justin asked the priest to bury Mel 11 minutes after Sophie.

I've found that Chris Fountain (Justin) is a great actor. It's too bad they haven't given him much since I started watching in late June. I'm guessing it's not his turn to be in front burner.

  9. Thanks for posting that montage, Rakesh. That lead me to the episodes where Jake finds out about the affair - those scenes with Jake/Becca. :o Jake is a violent guy! That was intense.

So Justin was 16 when he had the affair with Becca? How old was Becca? Mid to late 20's? When will schools ever learn to not put young sexy teachers in classes with teenage boys.

Rak, were you able to find Becca's death and funeral scenes? I couldn't find any. I just found the clip of Becca getting stabbed and that's it.

Did you watch baby Grace's death and funeral yet? I just finished watching those now. It's so sad. I almost cried when I saw the tiny coffin. :( I felt to bad for Mandy and Tony.....especially Tony when he breaks down in the church and when he's talking to Grace in the cemetery. :(

  10. I haven't heard his piano pieces, his notes, in such a long while - there's been a lot of sad scenes this past week, a perfect time to play his music, but there was nothing. I wonder if he's gone. :(

    QUOTE (Donna B @ Aug 23 2008, 11:28 PM)
When did his career outside of daytime take off?

    After he left DAYS.

  11. Slag = Slut!!!

    What about "slapper"?

So I just finished watching the episodes where Max died, the aftermath, and his funeral. I loved all 3 of those episodes. Really good and it was well written. Steph's speech was off the hook! Loved it! Hollyoaks have ACTORS. Yay! :)

I really felt so sad for Steph. Can you imagine if your husband/wife died on your wedding day? My God, that would be devastated!

Max/Steph's wedding was my first official episode of Hollyoaks what I watched.

Who is that little boy? I love him. He's such a great actor. He made me remember Claire from Days. Is he still on the show? Once again, I was so sad when he saw Max died and he started to cry. I really love this show. lol

The little boy is Tom Cunningham who is played by Ellis Hollins. He's a cute kid an a great young actor.

Here are some clips of him. He's awesome and makes me laugh whenever I see him.

  12. Wow, so Darren used someone's dead father's body that he knew? Now he ran away and left his girlfriend behind.

I'm shocked that Darren confessed to Malachy and Kris. I guess he's really feeling guilty and that's why he went to the police station (?). I'm glad Kris decked Darren. He deserved it.

Yeah, Jacqui is going nuts, and I really felt bad for Carmel when Jacqui went off on her for not being upset with Myra for choosing them to die.

And went off on Mercedes too, calling her a "slag" (does that mean slut, or is that "slapper"...I love that word.). I love tough Jacqui. :)

Carmel might be the comedic "dumb blonde" of the bunch, but she's the McQueen with the purest heart and the best of intentions. Jacqui is the tough family oriented one, Mercedes is the unapologetic bitch, Michaela is the free-spirited one, and Tina was the book smart one.

The McQueen girls rock. I wish there was a family like them on American soaps.

That was before Russ found out he was the father of Max, which changes everything. Russ wants to take care of Max, but Myra rudely told him in the hospital that she wants to do that and it's what, "Tina would've wanted." That kid belongs with Russ. Jacqui knew he was Russ' child but kept that a secret from Tony during the whole surrogacy fiasco. She let Tony and eveyone believe that Tina was carrying a child via Tony's sperm sample.

Ohh....so Jacqui knew Russ was the father? Can't wait for that to come out! I hope Tony and Russ give her hell for keeping that secret.

  13. You get about two weeks to write a first draft, then the producers and script editors read them and invite you in for a day to go through your script with the other writers of the same batch. You go back home with notes for changes and do a second draft. Any third draft problems are dealt with over the phone. Then you go over your script with your director and get a day or two to make final changes. After that you won’t see it again till it’s on TV.

Wow, they get so much time to write and rewrite their episode. No wonder they can have so many writers. So American soap writers write longer episodes with only like a week, sometimes even less, to write one or two episodes.
