If not DC or Marvel, I think they will get a huge I.P. within the next couple of years. They proved they can do action sequences, and much more.

So happy for EEAAO. It’s a family movie with action, humour, heart, silliness/weirdness. Can’t believe a movie with hot dog fingers won Best Picture. 😂 Loved the movie! So, who is going to get to the Daniels first, DC or Marvel? They’re definitely going to get offers from them.

JLC and Angela were good but I thought Stephanie Hsu was better, and she also had more to do. I'll be rooting for Stephanie.

I'm happy Michelle won but I too was distracted by that thing on her dress hitting the mic. LOL It was great to see James Hong give a speech when EEAAO won. He's just one of those character actors you see in so many things but never know his name. 94 years old and still dancing on the stage! So I guess this pretty much ends the race for Best Picture, right? I can't see any other film upsetting EEAAO by not winning any of the major precursors (SAG, DGA, PGA).

EEAAO won the Producers Guild award. It now takes a huge lead in the Best Picture race. If it wins the SAG tonight, the race is pretty much done.

Days: February 2023 Discussion Thread
Just a reminder to not post spoilers in a discussion thread. If they are minor spoilers, put them in spoiler tags - same thing with replies. I still haven’t seen Beyond Salem part 2 and I don’t know anything about Megan’s history but I’m looking forward to this story. I’m just glad the purgatory stuff is over.

Y&R Fires Entire Breakdown Writing Staff
If they are preparing for a strike, there’s a chance Michael Conforti wasn’t fired because he went Fi-Core in 2007. I don’t think Beall went Fi-Core so if she doesn’t again this time, maybe there’s a workaround because she’s a Producer now.

Y&R Fires Entire Breakdown Writing Staff
You need other writers because one person (or two since it's just him and Beall now) doing it all is too much work. And then you have to add his duties as EP. It's not sustainable in the long run, especially for a one hour show. I just can't see this working out for him, and Josh will eventually be fired.

GENERAL HOSPITAL February 2023 Discussion Thread
"It had to be you." Ryan's last words to Mac. I'm glad it was someone who has a long history with Ryan being the one to kill Ryan for good. And then Felicia/Kevin's final scene with Ryan was great too. That should've been the last scene of the episode instead of Esme/Spencer. I'm going to miss Ryan because he was always fun to watch and made the show very interesting. I was hoping we'd get more Esme/Ryan/Heather family scenes, but nope. I can see Esme going after Ava/Felicia/Mac once she regains her memory.

Now it makes sense why she got a Producer credit - I just found that a bit weird because because writers don't usually get a Producer credit. She probably negotiated that, along with a big pay raise. Losing Natalie Minardi Slater sucks. She's been with the show since the early 90's. I wonder if this move is "successful" in terms of costs savings, GH and DAYS will follow.

Yes, I think she's their daughter. Hopefully she's just as talented as her parents.

GENERAL HOSPITAL February 2023 Discussion Thread
This is such a big reason why GH is the best soap and has been for many years now. It's the only soap that is being written and produced like a soap from decades ago. Somehow, Frank Valentini is capable of doing this. So a big kudos to him. One minor complaint about the Sprina kiss......I wish they didn't go to commercial break after Spencer says all those nice things to Trina, and that the kiss happened immediately after so it would've been one nice uninterrupted scene.

Wow, that was pretty funny! LOL Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All at Once) won the Directors Guild, so EEAAO now takes the lead for in the Best Picture race.

The Flash
Looks good! Can't wait to see more of Keaton's Batman and Supergirl. I was surprised to see Zod and the gray Batman suit (I'm assuming that's Affleck's Batman?). Should be interesting to see how this movie will reset things.

The show wasn't very good....not that it was terrible or anything. I know she was pregnant and that could've been a big reason, so I won't pan it that much. The set was pretty cool though.

Y&R: - Anthony Morina last listed as Executive Producer on February 6 - Josh Griffith last listed as Co-Executive Producer on February 6 - Josh Griffith first listed as Executive Producer on February 7 - Amanda L. Beall first listed as Producer on February 7 Mandy gets a Producer credit! Amazing she's been able to not only stay on the writing staff since 2008 (arrived during the MAB era), and now she's worked her way up to a Producer.
