RIP: In Memoriam Thread
Wow. That's awful. I love a bunch of One Direction songs, but never really paid attention to much of his solo stuff. RIP.

Y&R: Ed Scott Returns As Senior Producer
That is a great point! Why did the Y&R publicity department need to tell Deadline about this move? If he's just coming back as a producer, and nothing else is changing, why have an announcement? Hmmm......

2 down and 1 to go.....and then the golden age on tennis will be over. Rafa is one of the all time greats and I loved watching him play.

Oh wow, you're right. Furthest back I can go to is September 16th. And I can't access CBS.com using a VPN.

Y&R: Ed Scott Returns As Senior Producer
Great news! As of right now, I'm assuming he's just going to be the main production producer which gives me hope he'll bring back Y&R's fantastic production values such as the moving camera shots, mirror and flower shots, and of course the background music (please come back Jack Allocco and David Kurtz). Coincidentally, Sharon's special episode felt like it was produced by Ed Scott - everything about the visuals and sound was top notch. Griffith isn't likely to leave (I hope I'm wrong) so maybe Ed can help Josh with better story ideas. He and Ed now have the same title: Senior Producer. Noel is also directing.

Sharon "killing" Heather is the most interesting storyline Griffith has written since coming back. And I actually like ghost-Cameron's return. Sharon and Linden play well off each other. The actress that plays Lucy is pretty good for a teenager. I could see her improving as she gets older.

Are you sure? Under Korte/Mulchaey, the head nurse and both co-COS were basically benched, and a doctor was written off. Now under Korte/CVE, Liz/Terry/Portia are on more, and they've brought back Brad and Lucas, added a new doctor in Isaiah. Looks like to me the new-old regime has brought back the GH setting.

I don't know where that's from but I think people who watch credits here would've noticed him name. That screenshot is probably from when Mulcahey was still with B&B and they were in Italy.

DAYS: R.I.P. Drake Hogestyn (John Black, Days of our Lives)
"a five page deathbed monologue" that was filmed "not too long ago".....wait.....is John going to be killed off while Drake was alive to film those scenes?

Tom/Alice to Doug/Julie.....John/Marlena were in line to be the next one.

DAYS: R.I.P. Drake Hogestyn (John Black, Days of our Lives)
John Black has been involved in some of my favourite soap opera storylines ever: The Affair, Maison Blanche, The Possession, and Lady In A Cage. He was never going to win an acting award, but he was damn watchable playing the hero, and romantic lead. His chemistry with Deidre and Eileen and Joe Mascolo were so good. RIP Drake.

Y&R September 2024 Discussion Thread
The "film noir"-esque episode where Heather dies and Sharon dumps her body off a bridge was pretty good - from the directing, the acting, the lighting, and background music. The extreme long shot of the bridge was cool. This should be Sharon Case's Emmy episode. She was phenomenal in this episode and in the flashback episode. I'm curious to see how Heather really died.

GH: September 2024 Discussion Thread
If you write in a way that has Jason and Anna conflicted about their feelings, and not like a trashy B&B style kind of way, it could be interesting. You could even bring back Kim for a short arc if things progress with Anna/Jason romantically. Plus, like you said, Jason/Robin was so long ago. The more I think about it, I think it would be pretty soapy. LOL

We'll see if Marla is temporarily editing while Marin is away, or if she stays there that means she's an associate head writer now like Beldner.
