But, Mishael is choosing to play this character cold and stiff with dry humor because she thinks this is how a lawyer would behave.  She could infuse more life into the character if she chose. But she wants to make a clear distinction between Hilary and Amanda.

Sometimes, I see more pizazz in her portrayal when she loses up. Even if Amanda had a clear goal/throughline and was driving story, Amanda would still be quite dry personality wise. But by no means do I think what you're seeing is the writer's fault. This is on Mishael.

You contradict yourself. Here you blame MIshael for what we see, and a couple posts later you say the writers want her to play backup to Billy. So which is it?

I don’t know how in the hell she could infuse more life into this character AS WRITTEN. She’d come across as a lunatic.

MIshael Morgan has yet to have one exciting storyline since her return. Not one. And no, this offscreen hunt for her ancestors is not exciting.

lol. Dev was such a throwaway, sadly. They aren't even trying.

I do think Dev and Cam had potential. Dev should have been scheming to keep Joss and Trina away from Cam because HE wanted Cam. Definitely missed potential but we'd never get that kind of story.

    Exactly.

Portia is fine but it's exactly like you say. There's no one there to have those reactions. They're just missing the point. They're handling some of it well, some of it not so much.

And now we have a recast Lucas so the impact remains lost. Lucas feels like a stranger. He finally gets to play doctor and interact with people he long should have been and it's a recast. Sigh.

Dev was a throwaway because they never settled on who he was. Every time he appeared in an episode, he had a different personality.

NuLucas seems to have a lot of fans, but I miss Ryan Carnes because he made that Brucas relationship believable. I really saw those two together, and the actors went out of their way with touching and affection and looks that went beyond their dialogue.

I don’t see any chemistry between this recast and Parry Shen.

I thought he did a good job at playing the delusions. Well what I saw before the Biden press conference...

It’s a crime what they’ve done to Mishael Morgan. Amanda is merely a busybody without a cause, going around prying into everyone’s business. Hilary at least had real drive and an agenda.

Agree with you about Grossman, and his scenes with Braeden after the Biden break were great. It’s worth catching online.

Have to also agree about MIshael. There’s just not enough personality there, not enough urgency. If she hadn’t played Hilary, I’d have no idea how good she can be.

So funny to see Melissa Ordway film with her actual husband, allowing Abby and Chance to be actually seated closer than 20 feet away from each other. And kiss.

Justin Gaston is no great thespian, but he’s still 3,000 times more appropriate as Chance.

i like Gaston in the role. Ordway has chemistry with him, and their scenes worked.

Also enjoyed the Adam and Victor scenes. Braeden and Grossman are very good together.

Dude, literally everyone has been telling you this for years. You only show up to complain about SON not giving soaps a day pass. You know this. At least a dozen, maybe dozens of people have talked to you about it for a long time. We can set our watch to it: When you show up, it's to be angry that folks aren't liking the soaps. What is the functional difference between you and the job Alan Locher used to have propping up ATWT? And why do you care so much that people disagree with you? Move on with your life.

Michael and Willow are as dull as watching paint dry. And they have them painting🤣

The painting thing made me crazy, and not only because Michael and Willow are so damn boring.

She has this little cup filled with paint. OK, so then why is all the furniture in the room covered with sheets? And look at the floor? Shouldn’t the rest of the damn floor be covered, too, if you’re going to be ridiculous?

Why is Willow dressed like she’s going out on a shopping trip? Those are painting clothes? She’s a lousy painter, too. Even with that little cup of paint and small brush, she couldn’t help but hit Michael with a big splat of paint. Because of course she did.

    What major suckage.

Also more major suckage with Cyrus, the non-scary mob boss who isn’t scary at all except to people in Port Charles.

Am I missing something? Why the frick does he care so much about owning this damn town? Shouldn’t a guy SO powerful and SO frightening have a bigger agenda? It’s ridiculous.

It is, in fact, literally all you do. You show up every few weeks or months to complain about people complaining about bad soap operas. You'd think at some point in the last decade you'd have found some place else to make you happy.

And you’re always around to complain about my complaints. Sounds like we’re even.

You can scroll on by,you know. There always that ignore button if I bother you that much.

    It's worthless "to you". Lol

Uh...yeah. That was my point. I wrote the post and called an opinion worthless. It was my opinion. Who else’s opinion would it be?

Don’t worry, I wasn’t speaking for you or anyone else on the board.

In years? When has he? I've never seen it.

Check out the episodes when Michael was working to break through the wall between his room and Christine’s apartment. He was hot, sweaty, and dirty, and definitely showed off a good body.

The Carter/Zoe/Zende/Paris quad is so lazily written. Carter is in the Peter Parros/Dr. Ben role as the decent guy who can’t see what’s in front of his face. The CBS/Bell soaps both rushed through these Af-Am quads onto the front burner, and the stories are threadbare. It’s doing the actors and the audience a disservice.

You nailed it. The quad is a damn disaster. The dialogue is simple, generic, and lame. It’s embarrassing.

Carter fell in love in 5 minutes, and he expresses it in such a laid back, mellow way that I want to zap him with a taser. He’s been awful. He also comes across as stupid as hell for not recognizing that Zoe MAKES UGLY FACES when he says he loves her or asks her to marry him.

Zoe??? Talk about an actress who needs acting classes. Aside from her exotic looks, she has nothing going for her.

  10. Martha Madison is 43. Brandon Beemer is 40. But poster after poster is going after her for being too old? Huh???

i’m no huge MM fanboy, but this ageism is really unfair in my eyes. I do think she looks and is styled much better on this run than she has been in the past, when Beemer seemed like a reach for her. Now? I’m ok with them being together.

As I’ve said before, I do think nuClaire is a complete miscast. She’s a new character, and that’s not what the show needed. I don’t see any chemistry with Charlie either — or with nuTheo.

NuTheo has fans here, but again, he felt like a new character to me. Kyle Pettis’ acting has been criticized, yet I always felt his autistic side came through. I never forgot he had autism, and I credit Pettis for that. He wasn’t just good abs.

It doesn't take watching the full show to figure that out. Lol

Abby is definitely overused in the romance department. I don't buy not care about this romance with Chance because of it. She gets a new man and engagement every year.

Hey, I have no problem criticizing the show, but I admit I watch it in good times and bad. I’m sorry, but if you’re truly watching only a few minutes every week or so, your opinion is worthless. Either that or you’re just lying about how often you watch.

FWIW, I don’t buy the deep Abby and Chance, either. It’s another relationship that seems superficial in every respect. When she stood at Chance’s bedside today, I wasn’t feeling it — partly because of their social distancing that wouldn’t even allow her to stand beside the bed. At the foot of the bed? Ridiculous. It was as bad as the distant dancing at Dina’s wake.

CLB’s hair? The first day was a shock, but since then, I’ve decided it looks good on him. I’d rather see that than the horribly dyed brunette look.

    Maxie is a clown.

And why is Dev so angry all of a sudden? He's much better off as a schemer, not some angry psycho

Agree about Dev. Face it, they can’t decide what to do with Dev. His character has changed about 6 times. Honestly, the other teens are all over the place, too.

And why would Joss and Trina want to be anywhere near someone like Dev? I thought these girls valued themselves.

I did have to LOL today at the teens sitting at their diner table — about 2 feet from the front door. Doesn’t everyone love a seat that clos3 to the exit?

Also, although I greatly prefer Kate Mansi over Marci Miller, I'm glad that Miller is the one playing out this particular story. I'm not sure if I'd believe that Mansi's Abby would get duped like this, and I think I'd feel sorry for her. But Miller plays Abby's entitlement and self-absorption in such a way that seeing her get manipulated by Gwen is absolutely delicious.

Agree completely about Kate Mansi and Marci Miller. I do like MM better now than in her first run, though.

Not a fan of pairing JJ with Gwen. I don’t see any chemistry there at all. Emily O’Brien has been terrific, and she deserves a partner with the same level of fire. I like JJ as a character and the way Casey Moss plays him, but they’ve yet to find a great relationship for him.

i like Candy McClain a lot — and hope they keep her.
