Will disappearing was so bizarre. Something had to have been cut. He had no purpose today. He showed up at J&M's, said hi to Brady, and vanished. Didn't even get to say hi to Marlena. WTF?

They're putting Charlie in those glasses more and more and it makes me happy.

It’s hard to look any hotter or sexier in glasses than that. Damn, he’s good looking.

Why does it put such a bee in your bonnet?  I can tell you what I saw last week.  And I'll post the spoiler website and recap website so that you can see it's all there.  It's really not that hard to follow.  Haven't seen Y&R in months and sad I missed Dina's leaving.  What I watched:  Last week I saw Quinn pleading to Eric for 1 or 2 minutes and Dr. Finn telling the group that Thomas is out of the woods.  That's it.  That's all I saw.  Other than that, I read in recaps.  Everything I wrote in my post above is speculation but probably not - B&B is very predictable and Y&R is terrible. I don't need to be "OK" that I'm watching and admit it, regularly because I'm not.

    LOL I rest my case.

Has Hope Married Thomas yet in a hospital bed and gotten it annulled and married Liam again?  Has Steffy figured out Kelly is Bill's daughter and new baby daddy is Finn's?  Leaving Liam non-baby Daddy and ret-con Bill slept with Hope?  And Beth is Bill's also?  And then Thomas and Liam fight over Hope?  And then Quinn wants Flo and Wyatt to be together and then because of Shauna she interjects into that?  Her best friend that she demanded live on the property needs to now get out of the house and off the property, and then Quinn sleeps with Ridge?  This show is so stupid.  It's gonna be something like that.  Paris and Zende and Zoe have random unwanted scenes and Carter is the hottest guy on daytime and gets no story whatsoever.  He'll perform a wedding or file divorce papers.  Thomas has a brain tumor and that's why he's been nuts for 10 years, yet he'd be dead by now.    The show has become worse than DAYS or Passions.  But it was never good anyway, but seriously.  But I'm only going from recaps and I hear Thomas is hot though so it's all OK.  I think it sounds dumb.  I watch Tamron Hall now.  Hope Europe and Australia like this stuff because it's bad.

Why can’t you admit you watch these shows? Serious question.

You cannot have all these comments and details just from reading recaps. You’re watching the show. It’s ok. Just admit it . None of us will judge you because we’re also watching.

I’m fine with Kate being with a guy Jake’s age.  It’s just that this is being played for thrills, will amount to nothing, and inevitably degrade Kate.  And didn’t we basically see this 14 years ago with her and EJ?

Kate/LK is amazing and deserves longer-term planning.  I know a lot of people don’t like Josh Taylor, but her reunion with Roman writes itself and I’ve always felt they’re totally endgame.  However, I acknowledge that once they’re actually together, this can and likely will go the way of Victor/Maggie with gender reversed lolol.

I say no to Kate with Roman. I don’t care how close they are in age, he reads a lot older than she is. A LOT. I don’t want her saddled with the mumbles guy.

This run with Kate and Jake works. She did this 14 years ago with EJ? So what??? It’s even more impressive now that she can hook a hunk and look so good doing it.

Sorry but I don't own an iPad and don't intend to buy one. By the time I replace my laptop (it will be an investment as it is a design laptop and I have a specific brand/make in mind, which is unfortunately expensive but, at least upgradeable, which is important to me). By then, I am sure the "free" Y&R episodes will be under CBS All Access lock and key.

    Oh well, Thanks anyway.

If you have a design laptop, CBS.com should work well. If it doesn’t, you already need a new laptop.

I agree that Linsey Godfrey is playing up the cutesy side of Sarah (which doesn't always work in her hospital scenes), but I don't agree that she's playing ditzy at all. In fact, the show is doing a consistent running joke that she's smarter than Xander (and better at scheming when she puts her mind to it).

And I'd much rather have her overacting a bit and creating a memorable character versus whatever that girl playing Claire is doing; that one seems to be trying so hard to suppress her Australian accent that she's forgotten to give the character any personality.

On a totally different note, I don't quite get the criticisms of what Ava said to Allie today. Ava is a psychopath, so I don't think the show is actually endorsing her viewpoint that Allie is a "liar" and a "bitch." The character we're meant to empathize with in those scenes is Tripp, and he's defending Allie in them.

i agree with you about Ava and what the audience was supposed to understand. I’m sorry, it’s not Ron’s fault if some viewers are clueless. He was not endorsing the point of view labeling Allie a liar and a bitch.

I also agree completely about the actress playing Claire. She’s just awful, and for me, she ruins every scene she’s in.

The sad thing is that I think Scott Clifton hates Liam’s stupidity as much as we do... he’s said in interviews that he really struggles to figure out Liam’s motivations. I guess in the end, a paycheck’s a paycheck.

Scott Clifton tweeted today that he’s aware how much people hate Liam — and that he pretty much hates the way Liam is behaving himself.

Clifton is such a good human being, and it’s a shame the show has destroyed his character this way.

Does anybody have a link to where I can watch the past two episodes?

I don't subscribe to CBS All Access and CBS.com stinks (especially on mobile).

Sadly, my old links have faded and I am in search of a new one.

    Thanks.

Do you have an iPad? CBS.com works well there.

Without proof, I find it unseemly and ugly to say CK refuses to have a relationship on the show with a black man. That rumor has been around for years, and no one has any evidence she ever said this or demanded it. I highly doubt she had the power to get that written into a contract.

And no, the fact that her show relationships have been with white men is not proof.

I’m no CK stan, although I do like her as Lily. My point here is that it’s awful to accuse someone of this — something that’s basically racist — without proof. It’s the very worst of social media.

l loved both wedding episodes and I will continue to be in the minority by having zero issue with Melissa Ordway. I would rather scratch my eyeballs out than watch Emme Rylan as Abby again.

Justin Gaston did great as Chance, I was hoping the southern accent would be gone though. I have no idea why Chance sounds like a redneck these days.

I enjoyed all the flashbacks and having all the vets together. I was shocked we actually got a Tyler flashback AND a Brad flashback.

i hammered yesterday’s episode, but I think today’s wedding episode was great. The flashbacks worked...maybe I was just in a bad mood when I watched it LOL

Agree with you about Melissa Ordway — I do not want Emme Rylan back. The problem is not MO, but the writing for Abby. Today was good, though.

And btw, Ordway said the 2 weeks working with her husband were the most fun she’s had on the show. I think they were great together.

Sonny tapping his little finger on that guy’s head while Jason holds him down is ridiculous. This is supposed to be menacing? At least threaten to gouge his eyes out or something...

Nice to see Tracy again, though.

That finger tapping at the head was completely absurd. I couldn5 believe he did it once, let alone three times. WTF???

Somebody actually let deVry get in front of the camera with that hair today. Wow.

I actually thought DeVry looked better with that hair than he has since he had a buzz cut.

  11. — Justin Gaston is a good chance and worked well with Tricia Cast and Melissa Ordway. Wish they’d keep him.

    — I usually love flashbacks, but the only ones that worked were Abby with her former partners. The others seemed forced. Abby’s wedding and we need to see an ancient clip of Jill and Katherine? With those flashbacks and the wasted scenes withNick and Phyllis, the episode seemed disjointed to me.

    — The social distancing on Y&R is still awful. Chance and Nina didn’t even touch let alone hug? It’s too unnatural. Same with Nick and Phyllis. Why have talk about romance and sex when they can’t even stand next to each other? Meanwhile, on GH, everyone is hugging.

    — Abby’s bathroom crying jag and locking herself in was a pathetic cliche. The girl is wailing about being immature??? Irony is dead. Let her have second thoughts, but avoid painting her like a stupid teenager. I think that’s the biggest problem with Abby...the writers won’t let her grow up.

    — More Abby: she stayed in that locked bathroom through all that begging and prodding from Mariah and Ashley? Yeah, I get it — they wanted Chance to draw her out. They did it all, all wrong.

    — It’s a minor thing, but when Jill arrived and ordered Esther around, I wanted Esther to snark back at her instead of grumbling under her breath and then acting like a damn maid.

Being overrun by mobsters, serial killers and rapists. For 20 years is so STUPID.

I co-sign onto that and with the other comments here about the mob element. It’ll work in a movie or a miniseries, but it doesn’t work long-term on a soap, especially when we’re supposed to love and appreciate the main mob guys.

Besides, I constantly ask myself who in the hell would live in that town? Your life would be a trip to either the hospital or the police station every month. Why would ANYONE go to the docks, even for a walk? Why would ANYONE go to a club or bar?

Instead, GH doubled down by adding Cyrus, THE worst criminal I’ve seen on a soap in many years. He’s not frightening enough, he’s not imperious, and the actor doesn’t have the gravitas to pull it off.

Then there’s the question of why a guy like Cyrus would choose Port Charles AT ALL to carry off these crimes — and why EVERYONE in town would go along with it.

  13. Why not just have Rafe tell Roman that he read all about what happened online? Or that someone in town told him in an email? Those scenes were beyond boring filler.

I love it when characters return, but these really short stays don’t help the show and only make us think about what could have been.

The return of Theo — for what, 3 days? Total waste. I don’t understand JJ leaving already.  And why bring Gabi back the same episode as Rafe? Rafe did nothing and Gabi pretty much just rolled her eyes in every scene.

All these ins-and-outs are giving me whiplash.

Watching a lot of the show today because I saw what re-run it was.  Man Y&R was good then.  The Ball, the Costumes, the writing, and everyone seemed they had something to do.  For the last 2 years or so when I pretty much quit - no show has extras, the sets are empty, nothing looks like this.  I know it's happened to every show but man this episode proved it.  There was so much interaction between so many characters and the production was so good.  I had forgotten.  I don't understand why you can't get some people off the street even today and pay them $50 to be an extra at the coffee shop.  I'm sure there's a reason.

The reason is because union contracts exist. You can’t pay people like paupers because you want extras on a set.

Yes, the production in 1991 was incredible. It was also about 30 years ago, and the world of television is much different today. In ‘91, daytime profits bankrolled prime time, but that’s no longer true.

I do miss the elegance and sheer size of the sets, which have been diminished to the point of absurdity. If GH can afford larger sets, so can Y&R.

My problem with this choice of classic episode? They just ran it a few months ago. Why not run the follow-up episode instead of repeating the same one again? That made no sense to me.
