  1. I’m glad to see other criticize William Lipton in those crying scenes. I like his Cam, most of the time a lot, but those scenes were bad. If Wes Ramsey cried like that and made those faces, people would destroy him online. I agree with others here about the teen set. They are boring beyond belief, and no one is worse than Joss. My God.
  2. Terrible pacing. We saw no Sharon and Rey honeymoon, and as you said, that was followed by marital troubles just weeks later. I have no problem with a Jack and Sally story as long as Sally is a gold digger from hell, a throwback to the old Jill. Make it nasty and juicy, even if you repeat the same effing scripts from decades ago. I do not want to see marital bliss with Jack and Sally. How boring would that be?
  3. Nailed it. That is exactly what happened. It’s ridiculous to pretend “we can’t really be sure.” We ARE sure. MIshael was horribly treated when her contract was up for renewal. Amanda the character not working? That’s on the damn writers, not on MM. If Josh Griffith were writing for Hilary today, he’d have her as a stay-at-home mommy blogger. And face it, just about EVERY story on the show turns into a blah. The Faith bullying story. Where are the bullies? We see no one. We hear no one. Texts? BLOCK THEM, DUMB FAITH. Make it make sense. And no, COVID-19 is no excuse for every effing story having no bodies to carry it off. If that’s the case, don’t do the story. The Chelsea revenge story. In 2 days she went from immobile to standing and now speaking as fast as she ever did. Of course, she also has a phone. Where are the beats? Why can’t Adam PRETEND to care about her when he leaves? Even damn roommates are warmer to each other. The Ashland L business sale. What’s with the name that seems impossible to pronounce and spell? Griffith can’t even get THAT right. And why are these major biz meetings held in HOTEL ROOMS? AT Crimson Lights? Just pathetic, and takes me out of every scene. Amanda. Great scenes with her mother and half-sister, then NOTHING for weeks. And is the sister gone already? JFC. The Devon Elena Nate Amanda story. I have no Faith this will go anywhere. The Abby surrogacy story. An ABOMINATION. Just pure TRASH while Nina and Ashley and Jill are WASTED. And please spare me another FaceTime with Jill. That stuff is sh*t. I have more, but I’m tired of typing. This show is infuriating.
  4. i agree with you. It’s ludicrous to think that MM insisted she not return as Hilary. What is wrong with people making up this stuff out of thin air? And yes, that entire article is spin. We all know she left because they didn’t want to pay her, not because she played a character for 5 years.
  5. I have to agree with you. Gaston was a great Chance on Y&R, but he was just awful as Ben on Days.
  6. There’s no drama if Sally and Summer are friends.
  7. Right. Make it make sense. Ron trots out the same evil guys over and over, whether they fit in the story or not. Criminals who would be locked away forever CONSTANTLY get out of jail. — mostly by some easy escape. It’s just hard to invest in stories like this. And don’t get me started on the way Kristen runs that jail and gets out.
  8. Thanks for the therapy, honey. Back at you, though. *I’M* worked up over all of this? LOLOL You could have fooled me. And please. The idea that vets are always right and always have to be supported is too lame for words. It’s just ridiculous.
  9. Sorry, when a slam is surrounded by a defense, people remember the slam. I don’t think that’s shade, subtle or otherwise. I don’t think VM watches GH, so she doesn’t know anyone she didn’t work with.
  10. It’s just awful writing, and hiring a black scriptwriter won’t help if the HW is so effing terrible.
  11. This is just bullsh_t to say Wes Ramsey is there because of Laura Wright or exec favoritism. Have all the theories you want, but in the end you know nothing. You have no knowledge of anything that goes on at GH. Dont come at TR? Why — is he untouchable? Do soap veterans always get it right, even when they dump on another castmate on video? Rogers’ ONLY specific callout was Wes Ramsey — and no one else. Not a casting director, not a writer, not a producer, not an actor. It was wrong, and it does not matter how bad you think WR is on the show. That is irrelevant. TR tells it like it is? Shove that. It’s what peon said about Trump. It’s what people say to excuse others who hurt people for no reason. Tristan Rogers’ “truth” did nothing but hurt another human being. I’m not asking anyone to start loving WR in that role. I am saying Rogers is the one who is wrong here. And then Wes writes a long IG and is criticized for THAT. My God. I can only imagine the grief he’d get if he mentioned TR in that message. Meanwhile, apparent saint Tristan Rogers is praised for his comments about Ramsey. Unbelievable.
  12. Way too much of the Faith bullying mess was wrapped up in one scene with Faith, Nick, and Sharon. Awful.
  13. Yes to most of this. All of you calling this more drama — that drama was created by Tristan Rogers, who stepped completely over the line in his criticism. Instead, Wes Ramsey gets knocked for a long response? GMAFB. Imagine how much it hurts to be bashed like that, knowing Soap Twitter already hates you — and now your other cast members get to see it up close, too? I never defended WR before this, but I’ll defend him now, and I feel sorry for him. TR is a good guy, but he screwed up. This is on him, and no, it’s not ok because he was “honest.” Screw honesty when it hurts others and does moth to make anything better. TR solved nothing. The number of people using this mess to go after Wes Ramsey even harder is disturbing and disgusting. They hate the character, but that’s bled into hating the actor. It’s appalling, and it’s sad. if you can’t see, after reading his IG, how all this has affected Ramsey, I feel sorry for you. It’s all one big example of how terrible social media can be.
  14. I don't know if the rumors or true, but regardless, I don't think the music has anything to do with those rumors. I don't believe JFP is making changes because she knows Ed Scott and Kay Alden are returning.
  15. There's no question; Y&R has definitely been using pre-JFP music. In addition, some of the recently-written music sounds more like the Y&R stuff we liked from the past. Yes, for a time, the old Y&R music cues completely disappeared, and the new music was awful. But that's changed, and I wish people would stop parroting what they said a year ago. The music has improved dramatically from what we heard a year back.
  16. I'm not buying that article. It was written by someone who obviously has an ax to grind, and it all comes across as ridiculous. I'm no defender of JFP, but hyperbole and drama like that doesn't help anything....it's impossible to know what the truth is. Josh Griffith is having meltdowns? WTF? Any confirmation of this? Does anyone know what it even MEANS? I actually think the music has improved in the past couple months. The modern stuff isn't getting in the way and is used sparingly, and the old, classic cues are being used to good effect.
  17. Anyone remember "Bright Promise"? It aired on NBC at 3:30 pm from Sept. 1969-March 1972, and centered on young people in a university town. I was in high school at the time, and remember falling for Susan Brown, who played BP's heroine Martha Ferguson -- whose college professor husband cheated on her with a student. I write to Susan numerous times during the show's run, as well as afterwards when she joined GH and PC, and she responded every time with nice notes, BP scripts, and more... what a classy lady. "Bright Promise" was a terrific soap, I thought, ahead of its time -- no doubt aided by Gloria Monty's leadership. A young Tony Geary was in the cast, and I remember his making an indelible impression as a young man of seemingly "limited capacity" taken in by Martha (Susan Brown) who turned out to be a creative, artistic type. Geary sang on the show, strumming a guitar, and I can still hear one of those songs in my head, "Hello, Rainbow," that played in one of the show's last episodes.
