I don't know about time shifting in 1979, but with Y&R expansion on February 4, 1980, there were two different schedules I've seen CBS affiliates use.

A note on the ratings. I will be pausing the posts on the ratings for a bit due to time constraints. Look more towards probably August for the regular ratings posts to return. And 1980's ratings fans, as a teaser, you now have a LOT more to look forward to than just the first year (1980) of the decade!!

So I can make a notation on the Nielsen week that it happens, does anyone have a handy list of what soap changes (debuts, cancellations, title changes) happened between 1979-1981. I've already posted the Nielsen charts for January-July 1980, so the only potential changes needed would be for February 1979-December 1979 and August 1980-December 1981.

Yes, so that was the only change in 1983-1984? So NBC waited 19 months before replacing Texas/Doctors with SB. I just need a quick guide so I know when to look for debuts/cancellations as I am typing out each week's ratings.
Thanks for letting me know. That's good, since that means there are 2 less soaps I have to type out the weekly info for in 1983 than I did in 1982. So 1983 will go a little quicker than 1982 did.
