I have to say... not feeling this show. I'm wondering if my problem is with the directing. The performances come off as "PERFORMANCES"... not organic and natural. It seems like there is a "Real housewifey" vibe running through it. I wonder if people will have a hard time finding these characters relatable.

I suggest everyone put this in the face of any religious person you know, and ask them if they approve of Trump putting out an AI video which depicts him as a GOLDEN IDOL. IN THE HOLY LAND.

Y&R: Old Articles
And the thing was, it didn't have to happen. JLB simply wanted to limit her shooting to 2 days a week (with more when she was front burner)and Bill Bell wouldn't accept it. She said that had she known that 7 other actors would lose their jobs because she left the show, she NEVER would have done it.

Yes, Mark Alford tried to do this today, claim that the people upset were plants... when one of the most critical is the Democrat CHAIR for one of the counties he represents, who just happens to be a friend of mine of 40 years. (She was my high school Geography teacher) I went to his facebook page and told that carpetbagger off.

Eurovision Song Contest 2025
So far, Luxembourg is the only one that is even listenable. Hopefully something better will come along. Lithuania's song is perhaps the biggest hot mess I've ever heard on the Eurovision stage.

And that is one of the main reasons I miss the native language rule. Badly.

Just give it right back to them!!! There's nothing for you to be scared of. You want fear? The AIDS crisis began when I was 14 years old. Gay acceptance is higher than it's ever been, but unfortunately, gender idology attachingn to our community like a leech is bringing us down.

IT varies quite a bit... I remember when I was young visiting my grandmother in the same time zone.. Y&R would air at 12:30 PM on KFVS-12 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Then here in Kansas City, it was at 11 AM on KCMO-5 ... and is still in that time slot to this day. 52 years in the exact same time slot.

There's nothing we can do. Let him have it, and hope Putin dies soon. Ukraine is not worth nuclear war.

My mother is 90 years old... imagine the culture shock. She grew up during FDR and Harry Truman. It amazes me how many older people are brainwashed by Fox news. I hear account after account from people who say they don't recognize their own parents anymore. People who used to be just reasonable centrist Republicans. My mother is the same centrist Democrat she was 50 years ago, and I think it's mainly because doens't have cable TV... her news has been coming from Norah O'Donnell on CBS and PBS newshour. Pete Buttigieg. 100% This statement is 1,000% TRUE.

The Weight Loss Hysteria of 2024
I don't understand the concept of stick thin being attractive. I'll never forget seing Sharon Osbourne after her weight loss... it's the EXACT same reaction I had when Karen Carpenter appeared on my TV screen in their special "Music Music Music". The first words out of my mother's mouth was "Oh NO!! she's sick". In the late 70's we knew nothing about anorexia, we thought she had cancer. And Sharon looks like she just walked out of Auschwitz. Fashion designers are doing this AGAIN... look at this from Gaultier in his latest collection:

I guess we'll see how this all shakes out. I adore, do you hear me... ADORE Clifton Davis, and have since I was a little boy, I find it surprising they are beginning a show with an actor of his advanced age, but perhaps that will be a dramatic exit relatively early in the run? People have been bleating for years about how Michele Val Jean walks on water, how the black soap viewer has been ignored... well this is your big chance, viewers! You have to tune in and prove they didn't waste their money. I'm just thrilled that Sara Gilbert and her annoying sanctimonious ass is off of TV for at least now.

It astounds me that all of MAGA blame Democrats for the California fires, while the largest wildfire in Texas history (over a million acres) happened just 10 months ago. I point this out to them every time I get the chance, and ask them if Greg Abbott is to blame.

Do you all think Carrie Underwood will suffer a large backlash for performing for Trump? On a side note... It just demonstrates how bereft of talent the music business is today, when someone sings "America The Beautiful" (Not a hard song to sing) Acapella, and in tune, and it's being hailed as some kind of extraordinary feat of amazing talent.

Knots Landing
Donna and Joan at an event yesterday. Donna looks luminous, of course, LOVE her champagne satin suit. Joan.... I'm beginning to wonder if something is seriously wrong with her (some type of oral cancer, etc.)

Eurovision Song Contest 2024
Well.. I listened to them, and they are all awful! I generally don't like modern music, but I ussually find something to like in Eurovision... not this year! France seems to be the only one that is listenable. Finland? Good Lord. The highlight of the song is supposed to be when his pants arrive from the ceiling? Who comes up with this stuff? I figure everyone is going to dump on Israel this year, although Eurovision is not supposed to be political. Sad, really. The only really FANTASTIC song of the last 3 years was from Sweden, and it didn't even win Melodifestivalen.

Israel, Gaza, and Palestine
I'm gobsmacked at the amount of people in the gay community who support Palestine on this issue. Seriously? A culture that throws gay people off of roofs, you are going to stan for? The fact that Hamas is the one who started this is reason enough for me not to support them in any way. AS far as Gaza? I guess the moral of that story is don't choose a homeland that is a barren desert without the capability of supporting human life.

Game Shows
I think game shows were pretty integrated once the 70's came in... or at least the ones I watched, which were Wheel and Pyramid. And example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7skOZEFgCw&t=310s

Gender Ideology thread
As a 56 year old gay man, this topic interests, and disturbs me at the same time. The more radical of the trans activists seem to be getting more aggressive and toxic by the day, then there are people like Blaire White, who DOES have salient points about the issue and the ideology... but her hanging with crackpots such as Alex Jones seriously harms her credibility, IMO. Buck Angel does the far better job. And the whole character assassination of JK Rowling, when she is not even CLOSE to being a bigoted right wing person seems just awful to me. What exactly do these activists hope to accomplish by villfying and alienating people who are politically adjacent to them? Just because they don't check every single box on their wish list, and march in lock step with their ideology. Opinions?
