  1. So that's it? Trump's actually won? Man... I honestly don't know what I'm going to do if I end up losing my Social Security and Medicare. I have issues with anxiety and depression and I can't work and I'm also disabled. If things get really bad there's a good possibility that I probably won't be living for too much longer. I know my parents won't and they're already getting on in years.
  2. My mom wanted to go to Paris next year for vacation. Well looks like the cruise that she's going on with my father and I in a few weeks is more than likely going to be the very last vacation we're ever going to have as a family. Once the three of us lose our Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid, we won't be able to afford our house anymore and we're probably going to end up on the streets. I'm terrified at the prospect of my aunts and uncles possibly getting deported even though they've been in this country legally for years.
  3. At this point I won't be surprised if by tomorrow night we're going to find out that Trump won the election. I expect the Republicans to take control of both the House and the Senate too. We're going to need to figure out how we're going to survive another Trump presidency.
  4. It's official; she's going to lose.
  5. I still can't believe both Amendments 3 and 4 failed, even though I figured that it was probably a long shot. Are people really that okay with sacrificing hundreds of thousands of women's lives just to save the unborn? I think having the anti-abortion ban being allowed to stand is going to convince more women to forgo relationships entirely and just not have kids period, which is ironic since it was implied in the anti-abortion ballot that if the amendment were to pass that it would spurn women to just not have kids and there would be a birth rate crisis. Ron DeSantis intimidating voters certainly didn't help either.
  6. I don't really think it was the "writer". According to Soap Opera Digest, Gwen is supposed to show up in July, and it's estimated that Ron's material is supposed to continue airing at least into the spring, (around March/April), so for whatever reason, the new writers decided that they wanted to bring Gwen back for a new story, probably something Abigail related. I find it interesting of all of the characters to bring back permanently that Gwen is the one character that the new regime decides to use. In other words, it's business as usual, which really, really sucks. I was hoping that maybe things might start to finally turn a corner and improve but I'm not really getting a good vibe from this new regime at all.
  7. Yes I have. What does that have to do with anything? Okay, so Theresa's going to pop up in March for probably a one-off episode. That doesn't really mean anything. It's more than likely going to revolve around her getting released from Statesville and then she's heading off back to California in order to get her life back in order. She might have one scene max with Tate and that's it. Gwen is the one who's going to stick around long term, which is why her return was announced first. What her story is going to be... I don't know. I guess we'll find out in July.
  8. The one thing that I'm confused by is that apparently there's a shot of Emily O'Brien still wearing that dumb blonde wig in the promo even though it was announced that Gwen is coming back, so maybe it's possible that somewhere down the line that we may be getting scenes of Theresa getting released from prison and when she's out of Statesville, she's going back to California to try to sort out what's left of her life and maybe she might have at least one more scene with Tate and that's it. If she's just getting one or two scenes of her being released from prison and she just goes on her merry way back to California, never to be seen or heard from again, then I don't understand the point of that when an off-screen mention from Shane or Andrew that she got released from prison and she's now back in California would've sufficed. But like I said, if she's getting one more scene with Tate before being written off the canvas for good, then that's fine with me because it did seem really weird that her last scene was her at the police station and her story just ended abruptly and she never really got to say goodbye to her son. At least she'll be getting proper closure at that point, although I don't know why Ron just didn't go ahead and write one final scene with Theresa and Tate when Theresa went off to prison back in August. At any rate, it feels like a pretty big indication to me that Ron is pretty much intent on leaving EOB's version of Theresa behind permanently in the rear view mirror and now he is moving on to the character that he actually wants to focus on and write for - Gwen. It's going to be very interesting to see what her story is going to be when she does show up next year.
  9. How old is Spencer Olson is supposed to be? Because I read somewhere that Julie mentioned Spencer once in the early 90's and he was going to be introduced but that was eventually scrapped. Maybe it's another younger son of Steven's?
  10. Not that I'm not thrilled with this development, but doesn't it seem a bit soon for them to be jumping into marriage? I mean, how long have they actually been dating? Also I hope Days finds a way to keep Andrew and/or Paul on full time. It would be nice to have a kid of Shane and Kim's on canvas that the writers have not completely ruined (yet...)
  11. I get that to some degree she feels guilty that she didn't get to raise her herself and that she testified against her in court; however, Nelle was a psychopath that was a danger and a menace to society. And Nina needs to understand and accept that. (Also I hate that they made out Nelle to be a complete irredeemable psycho and they could have just kept Nelle as a regular schemer and she and Willow could have had a rivalry that would have driven stories for years, and since Nelle was basically being written to be a much younger version of Carly, then maybe Nina could be someone that would help humanize Nelle somewhat and make her not so one note.).
  12. Funny you say that because a lot of people, (probably Sonny/Carly fans), were really upset that Sonny was with Nina and went so far as to claim that not only was he being written out of character because he was acting disloyal to Carly and her kids and Sonny "in character" would never turn his back on HIS family but also Nina was basically grooming and taking advantage of an amnesiac man, which... I think is absolutely ridiculous. I mean, Nina did have her own selfish reasons for doing what she did, but come on now. Personally I think Nina and Sonny were horribly mismatched because Nina is not cut out for the mob life and she's also a big blabbermouth that cannot keep her mouth shut to save her life. Also Sonny will always have some sort of connection to Carly no matter what so Nina was basically screwed no matter what she did. Also I don't get why Nina was so obsessed with Carly to begin with; it's not like Carly is someone to even aspire to and I also find her extremely annoying and aggravating with the way everyone's constantly kissing up to her. Maybe she sees Carly as popular and beloved by the town and she wants that for herself? That's probably the only way that makes any sense to me, and Nina does seem to be the type of person to want so desperately to be loved and accepted by the towns folk. At any rate I'm glad the stupid Granny Wars are over and Nina is no longer preoccupied with Carly and she's mostly minding her own business now.
  13. At least Nina has legitimate reasons for being the way that she is that were established many years ago. She has a history of being emotionally stunted from that two decade long coma she was in thanks to her psycho mother Madeline and she also has had serious mental health issues. Yeah she can be extremely annoying at times but she obviously has some redeeming qualities. I really hated her during the whole Nixon Falls storyline and when she was married to Sonny, she was truly insufferable, but she really doesn't bother me too much these days now. Sometimes I even feel sorry for her, especially with the way Drew treats her like crap. I get the impression that at least one of the current headwriters (Korte) is a big Carly fan and doesn't seem to care too much for Nina. If Nina is going to be on this show at all, then she's better off as a supporting character who lends a supporting ear to her friends and family and who's happily single. At least write for her. It just seems ludicrous to me that she's been played by somebody like Cynthia Watros who obviously has a stellar reputation as an actress and yet she's barely getting written for or having any screen-time. Also the writers have botched the whole Nina/Willow storyline so badly that I just don't care for them as mother and daughter and their relationship just comes off as forced and contrived to me. Hopefully when Willow finds out that Nina has been banging Drew on the side while she was secretly pining over him she decides to wash her hands of her for good and has nothing to do with her ever again.
  14. It's amazing how just a few years ago Nina was eating up so much screentime with the whole relationship with Sonny and her ensuing rivalry with Carly via "the Granny Wars" and now it's like she's pretty much irrelevant and reduced to being a C-level character at best. If I were Cynthia Watros, I would start looking for better career opportunities elsewhere. I won't be surprised if Nina gets written off the show entirely eventually once this whole storyline with Drew/Willow dies down.
  15. I would definitely say yes. And they actually have the chemistry and the history to back it up. And it helped that it took Anna a very long time to actually return Valentin's feelings. Sonny/Nina on the other hand was contrived and poorly developed from pretty much day one and it made Sonny and Nina look really stupid, especially Nina. She was in love with a version of Sonny that never even existed. Sonny was never going to be hers and he was always going to leave her no matter what she did. He never even should've given her the time of day especially after what she did to Ava and Avery years ago, let alone allow her anywhere near Avery. Same reason why Nina and Ava should never be friends to begin with and I also find their so-called friendship extremely contrived and not believable. Then again, I think Nina is one of those people that really shouldn't be paired up with anybody because no man in their right mind would ever want to get involved with her and have to deal with her various mental health issues and if any guy finds out that Nina has had a major psychotic break in the past and has also spent time in a mental institution, he would definitely run the other way and who could blame him? The only guy I actually liked with Nina was Valentin but of course he was and still is in love with Anna so that along with his constant lies meant that their relationship was never going to last. Nina works best as a supportive friend and I guess an occasional comic relief and also be a mother figure to Sasha, (I would rather have Willow just cut Nina out of her life for good and not have anything to do with her ever again and also block her from ever seeing her grandkids again so that Nina will finally be free from the Corinthos orbit), and it should stay that way.
  16. I get that sentiment; it doesn't mean it was any good though. Hell, even Sasha had more chemistry with Brando than she does with Cody, and I never even liked Brando with Sasha when Brando, (and Johnny Wactor, God rest his soul), were both still alive. GH really should have had Sasha and Brando ride off into the sunset with their baby boy when they had the chance. Sasha would've been better off in the long run having her happily ever after with Brando and Liam off-screen instead of still languishing on this show when she really doesn't have much of a purpose on the canvas, even with her being the (retconned) long lost daughter of Robert and Holly. Yes, we do need romance on this show; the problem is this show is not promoting the right couples that actually have chemistry and they are shoving chemless and boring couples like Sasha/Cody down our throats. And GH did have two popular couples on the canvas at one point - Vanna and Sprina, (and no I'm not counting Sona because they're only popular on Twitter/X and they aren't really popular anywhere else as far as I can tell), but they are not there anymore.
  17. So GH is really going with Sasha being Holly and Robert's long lost kid? Okay then... thanks for ruining Robert, Holly and Sasha, Frank! I honestly don't know why they went this route when Ethan was right there and actually would've made a lot more sense. This feels like a last ditch effort to make Sasha relevant and it's bombing really bad. I actually find it hilarious that a lot of people are crying and gnashing their teeth on Twitter/X about Sasha/Cody possibly imploding, as if they are somehow this great couple when they have never been particularly interesting together. Part of me is still hoping that Cody gets de-Scorpioed somehow so that Mac won't be saddled with him anymore and he and Sasha can finally ride off into the sunset. Or maybe Sasha can get killed as a result of Sidwell getting revenge on Holly and I would be fine with that too.
  18. And even more reason why nobody should be hiring Ron Carlivanti to be headlining a soap opera or any show for that matter ever again.
  19. Yeah, me too. I never want to see or hear any mention of Theresa on this show ever again as long as it continues to air. Hopefully the new writers are smart enough to leave her in the past where she belongs and just not have anything to do with her ever again. Theresa's story should just basically end with her spending the rest of her life in prison with pretty much her entire family abandoning her and wanting nothing to do with her ever again. That's the fate she deserves.
  20. Can't say I'm too surprised with the way things have turned out. Emily O'Brien was pretty much set up to fail with the horrible way the recast played out and not to mention the horrible writing that pretty much destroyed whatever character development Theresa did manage to have. Also this pretty much proves that recasting Theresa just doesn't really work and Jen Lilley is the only person that can play her. The only reason why Theresa had ANY staying power at all was because of her; a large majority of fans might not really like Theresa very much but at least most people like Jen Lilley, (I know some people don't really care for her because of her religious beliefs and that's fine). At any rate, I don't expect Theresa to come back to the show for a very long time, assuming she even comes back at all.
  21. I highly doubt it. This show really doesn't care enough about him as a character to put him in a meaningful long term pairing. Maybe that might change with the new writers but I highly doubt that's the case at this point in time. Also the fact that she's immediately getting thrown into this god-awful Body & Soul storyline really doesn't bode well for her and I won't be surprised if she ends up being an interloper for Johnny and Chanel. Plus I think J.J. is staying for a very short time anyway and I don't think he's even sticking around long enough to get paired up with anybody. I think the only woman that's actually going to be with Alex long term is Stephanie since Ron seems really determined to make them a thing no matter what.
  22. 15 hours ago, DramatistDreamer said: Christopher Bouzy cbouzy This is my favorite ad this cycle. 04:56 AM - Oct 12, 2024 34 180 427 data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAPABAP///wAAACH5BAEKAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAICRAEAOw== This is the same guy that keeps on insisting that Florida is somehow in play for some reason. I'll believe that when both the marijuana and abortion amendments actually pass and go into effect, (and I don't really see either ever seeing the light of day, especially the abortion amendment since Ron DeSantis is more than likely going to block it and prevent it from ever fully going into effect just to be utterly petty and to screw over the voters that actually want the ban to be overturned). I would love to be pleasantly surprised because I actually think the six week ban in Florida is asinine, stupid and dangerous but like I said, I'm not really getting my hopes up. Ron has such a strong chokehold on the state that it's not even funny.
  23. Yeah, this really, really sucks. I was watching some old classic Days clips on Twitter/X that I haven't really seen before and they were mainly Lee Dumonde scenes, which are extremely rare and hard to come by. I really wish that I got a chance to download the clips and save them onto my computer before they got copyright struck by Sony. I don't know if I'm ever going to find those particular scenes anywhere on the web ever again.
  24. Tate's probably just happy that he doesn't have to deal with his mom anymore and maybe he's even secretly hoping that he won't have to see her ever again. Also, what are they even doing with Holly and Tate? What was the point of that scene if they weren't even going to sleep together? Wow, these two are really boring, aren't they? Sophia is literally the only thing making them interesting right now.
  25. I would be fine with either at this point. I don't really see a point for Sasha to remain on this show at this rate. She can literally walk out the door tomorrow and I won't even blink an eye. The only reason why she's even working for the Qs is so that she could be in a boring romance with the equally useless Cody, (who honestly should not even be Mac's spawn in the first place, but I digress).
