  1. I agree on all accords; I am all for actors infusing themselves into the roles they play.. in fact, I think it helps in one's portrayal.. but a complete 180-degree flip or complete actor-control should not exist. I even think the same of Veteran performers, who believe it's their right to control their character etc. unless it's someone coming in and, say, making a character who has never done/worn something, and suddenly they want them wearing it. Melody Thomas Scott returning to The Young and the Restless as Nikki with dark hair felt... out-of-character. But Sharon Case (as Sharon) dying her hair while on the run? That made sense. And the same thing, from my perspective, is happening on General Hospital with Kate Mansi's Kristina vs. Lexi Ainsworth's Kristina in terms of outfitting. Hell, even on Days of Our Lives, it's the same thing with Eileen Davidson as Kristen vs. Stacy Haiduk as Kristen. The outfitting, the writing... it's all just different.
  2. Shouldn't have allowed? She wanted to come back for John Aniston, and that's the reason she should have been brought back. It was easy: write Theresa, in return, for Victor's funeral and then write her out like they did for other characters. Instead, they [apparently] wanted twelve-weeks and she declined and, even told them, via email, she understood if they needed to recast due to her inability to come for those desired weeks. She counter-offered and they accepted. She wanted back for Aniston's memory and Aniston's memory alone. And that's admirable. And she sure she was available. It's the unprofessionalism of Albert Alarr & Ken Corday that is at fault here, not Lilley. The soap got ahead of themselves, and it bit them in the ass because it made them look even more unprofessional in the end, when all Lilley wanted to do was honour someone she felt close to from a past job. They used Lilley, ultimately, as a "name" for press to bring back and then ditched her, and fully intended on ditching her. It was crass and unprofessional as fück.
  3. Haha, yup! Haha. I just need a recast on Alex if the character is to stick around, like ASAP!
  4. I can see that. I think Ciara and Konefal began to mix into one. His behaviour during COVID alone was a major turn-off for me. And I am sure he tries to appear grateful so he does not lose his job, especially now that the "writer" is OUT!
  5. For me, Victoria Konefal just seems like she wanted to do more, and didn't want to do the work with him. But it also feels like Konefal is one of those who thinks primetime is going to welcome them, and it has not.
  6. Well, RSW is a tool himself, so it was not a stretch for him in the slightest.
  7. Well, what's funny is Lilley offered to cut and dye her hair brunette and, they declined, asking her to go more blonde. It's clear they wanted to differentiate Gwen from Theresa, but we don't see them doing that to men. Robert Scott Wilson didn't shave his head or dye his hair... they just did the same thing they did before. It's BAD.
  8. I know we had an "They Almost Became" thread, but I can never find it... but: William deVry (ex-Julian, General Hospital et al) revealed recently he auditioned for the role of Tucker on The Young and the Restless and lost out to Trevor St. John.
  9. Those scenes were bad; Tylo's last return was bad. It wasn't even good acting. It was everything people hate about daytime. It really was.
  10. Haha it was for me; West is Queen! Haha. And while Passanante may not be for everyone, I do feel like she gave what she could for West, given their time together on World Turns.
  11. It was not possible, and even Jen Lilley admitted that when she was talking about what was going on. She was told they have twelve-weeks worth of scripts and she/her team even mentioned it was "impossible." Especially, if two-weeks into her four-week return, she had barely seen any of the scripts she thought she'd be getting, especially since Lilley was under the assumption Emily O'Brien was going to be filming for eight weeks as Theresa... which still does not lineup. Plus, People reported TPTB planned to recast Theresa three-weeks prior to Lilley showing up with O'Brien, so they had things planned out.
  12. Truthfully, I don't see her returning with Bradley Bell there. Home girl was very vocal on social media during her last run, and even her Likes (when public) proved there was something going on behind-the-scenes.
  13. The "All About Ava" episode stands out. They did a fine job with that episode and, of course, Maura West owned it from the moment the episode began to the moment the episode ended. And I can't say that for everyone that appeared in that episode. 🤐
  14. Well, keep in mind: the WGA Strike happened and if I recall, wasn't this storyline wrapped up in that mess? I can't even remember because of how horribly ahead this crap-shoot soap is.
  15. In some re-watching, I don't hate what they did... there was just zero intensity in their writing, and that's where the problem remains.
  16. Yes, she is retired. And I believe Shelley Altman is, too. Both are retired.
  17. Truthfully, I don't think this would have worked with Jen Lilley's four-week availability, and this storyline went beyond what felt like the 12-weeks they planned her to film for... which does not feel realistic.
  18. Bad decisions continue to be made, and I am finally losing severe hope both in this soap and American daytime as a whole.
  19. The hair. The styling. The makeup. A more full face. It just looked nice on her.
  20. @lucaslesann23 You have to make sure to follow the naming constructions, as @Errol and @Toups have implemented. As for the casting... the role won't last three-years.
  21. I'd say when she did gain some weight it settled out. Her look in this opening is when it worked for me:
