But it also goes to show you have the lighting is different from each set, etc and how lighter sets are affected differently in comparison to sets (like the PCPD) that are not as... light in their colours. Thank you; it's definitely about finding that balance between that "classic" look of a soap opera, and using modern technology. Doing nothing, in-post, is laziness at its finest. It's the same thing when people go in and remaster film to 4K... you have to do manual work in-post to make things look right.- GH: August 2024 Discussion Thread
All it takes is for those who post-produce the episodes to spend a little bit more time on editing the colour grading; it feels like they're taking the product, as taped, and not applying any kind of filter to the episodes. A little TLC goes a long way. Other examples from other episodes: Obviously, video editing, you'd likely be able to adjust things here and there more (I would assume) beyond a flat image via Photoshop.- GH: August 2024 Discussion Thread
Exactly; Brook Lynn semi-turned it on when Lois first came back, but that did not stick very long. Even Olivia's accent isn't as pronounced as it was back when Lisa LoCicero first debuted. It's become quite... posh. They're using 4K cameras, but I don't think they're using a post-production for that of a 4K camera product. When these cameras were introduced back in 2018 they weren't as blue or as cold. I did some brief colour changes based on the August 1 episode, and these are the results: Even the slightest of changes just makes the scenes look more... dynamic and interesting. It's very blue (what airs) and, it shows, especially in the lighter-lit scenes. And I think Gary Tomlin has that history at other soaps that I'm not sure if others do or not, and it shows.- Classic telenovelas

The voice was so bad... the '90s episodes felt more authentic. They kept saying they had the budget of modern technology, and it didn't show it.- Show how are you feeling right now as a GIF or YT clip
