I *believe* this is how characters lined up from the casting breakdowns to the casting announcement: Sam > Ted Richardson Marcus > Martin Richardson Allison > Katherine "Kat" Richardson Armand > Andre Hamilton Joseph > Bill Hamilton Jillian > Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne Cheryl > Chelsea Hamilton Elizabeth > Hayley Lawson Dana "Leslie" Thomas Kate > Eva Thomas

They seemed to have announced others outside of the Dupree family, and I doubt "David" has been nixed, because even the press release mentions he lives with his husband. I have a feeling they're holding out on the final round of castings ⏤ the recurring roles and the role of "Patrick" ⏤ until the end.

Not to mention, no one is stated it's going to be PRESIDENTIAL politics, as there are many facets of the political game. This wold be involving the Senate, with patriarch "Patrick" being a retired Senator. "Marcus," thus far, is the only character we've been made aware of who has a career in politics, as a congressman, with the desire of becoming the first Black openly gay President. Everyone else appears to be in the law career or medical career; again, we don't know all characters et al, but from what we know....

I concur with all of this. I just don't see the banter we're seeing between Eric Braeden & Melody Thomas Scott coming into play at this point. Truth be told, I'm semi-surprised they haven't split them, yet. I believe the short-lived open marriage storyline was TPTB's way of testing waters and the audience seemed to be a mixed bag of reception. I loved the idea, for Nikki's sake, but not for Victor.

Not surprising one bit he has this skewed point of view.

And I don't debate that. They do work together, but I also don't see that as something this soap has always excelled in. On top of that, I don't see them providing that to the soap's longest-standing super couple that is currently together on the canvas. Deviating from that will "upset" what they likely view as the "core audience". Griffith just needs to do. There is nothing compelling or even smart-lite in his nor Amanda L. Beall's writing and when a script is marginally smart-lite, I'd wager it is Beall's influence, not Griffith.

The DA didn't mention the series if I remember, but did mention the new evidence revealed in Netflix's documentary, The Menendez Brothers, contributed to the decision.

You're getting exactly what you're giving. 👍🏻 Yes, I know. Hence why I stated what I stated; there is such a thing as a mid-season premiere, which is what this is going to be, and there isn't anything wrong with it. It's a smart decision on their part. Technically, they're debuting it in-line with how both Bold and Restless debuted: mid-season. A lot goes into getting these things off the ground, and it's clear they would not have been ready for a fall premiere. Again, CBS knows what they're doing. They're the professionals. And never called you specifically the impatient fan but, if you feel that was a call-out, then the shoe must fit, no? But stay there, thinking you know-it-all and know more than the professionals that are getting paid to do their job right now. Admin of this site already told us CBS is putting money into this soap, and money into their campaign, to the size of primetime, so we have that to go on, as well. So, I suppose they're lying, too and don't know what they're talking about?
