This is true, I don’t know how common it is but I’ve seen and read interviews with actors discussing having to create social media accounts to promote their projects. NOT saying that’s what happening here but it’s absolutely a thing. On a similar note there are rumors that actors with large social media followings have a leg up when it comes to casting. And hey, maybe they’ll bring back the other guy when his brother is inevitably brought back from the dead.

Great, now we can get Andre, Jacob and Ted confused. But really, he doesn’t look old enough to be Martin’s father (Daphnee doesn’t look old enough to be his mother either). I wonder what happened, the actor who played Ted was hardly one of the show’s problems.

GH is hardly top tier entertainment but I don’t know how much longer I can handle comments suggesting that BTG is the saving grace of daytime television. I don’t find a lot of it dissimilar from the complaints we’ve had about the writing, acting, pacing and production of every other soap the past 20 years. I genuinely think that the newness of it all is clouding people‘s judgment. But hey, that’s just me, let’s see how everyone feels six months from now! Jane Elliot was fantastic today, she really knows how to deliver a biting remark to close out a scene and I have to hand it to the show, they’ve been writing some really good ones for her lately. Luckily she’s going up against Drew, who in a case of awful ham-fisted writing everyone in town hates with a passion despite his track record as community hero only up until 6 months ago, so there’s less chance we’ll be treated to a “funny” comeuppance for old harridan Tracy. Laura and Lulu lamenting who Valentin could have been if he had only chosen another path was…demented. Have they not hated him for years? Didn’t he just decide to un-kidnap Lulu’s daughter only last week? What in the world is going on? Please explain to me how Sonny went from “Okay Val, you’re free to go” to “I hope Brennan kills him”. You just had him at gunpoint! You are a mob boss who had your biggest opp at gunpoint in your house, you dumb slut. Kill him! “Oh no I’ll wait for Brennan to do it! I scared!”.

I’d be shocked if they even had 5 at this point. It’s never going to happen but Liasion remains a possibility, in fact I think they’re kept by the TPTB in their back pocket as a sort of “break in case of emergency”. Donna, where? I think Donna might be having one of her stronger mental episodes. Because…da fuq? So Sonny has Valentin, the “supervillain” who’s been a thorn in his side for years, dead to rights for breaking into his house and he doesn’t kill him on sight. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Jake somehow reached adulthood without a single teenage story (that nonsense with Charlotte was hardly a story). The child of two of the most popular characters on the show was apparently undeserving of a spotlight.

The idea of a custody battle over a kid who is taller than his father and nearly 18 is crazy lol They really should’ve stunted the growth of some of these kids if they didn’t have story for them. For instance Aiden should not be 16 played by a 24 year old, his part in Lucky and Liz’s reunion would play much better if he was 11 or 12. It’s just so awkward when he enters a scene with that dopey look on his face as his parents, who look more like his older siblings, try to hide that they were making out.

What is with multiple stories about Brook Lynn get paid to do things for people? She’s literal heiress. And Lois has money, she runs L&B (though you wouldn’t know it from how she’s been squatting at the Q’s for over a year).

Wow you guys are really jumped down Eva LaRue's throat. We got this "quote" second-hand and have no idea what tone she said it in. Is it that hard to envision an actor saying something akin to "do I really have to?" regarding lines they personally object to knowing full well that they have to say them regardless. It's a very normal thing for actors to do, we've all heard stories of actors apologizing to their scene partners for whatever their characters had to say or do to them. ANYway Natalie sucks, her story with Sonny is a bunch of nothing. They haven't come close to kissing. Hell, they don't even flirt. They're just in scenes together every3-5 weeks. The show has had over a year to make them a couple and they haven't even come close. Even this drama with Sonny's heart hasn't brought them any closer and it was all for naught because Sonny just told Kristina the truth when she asked. That they decided to build a family around a character they've put zero effort into is utterly baffling. This happens so often on this show now, especially when it comes to the mob/WSB stuff, that you gotta wonder if they also don't understand the plot. The viewers definitely don't. Personally I couldn't tell you why Valentin is trying to kill Brennan. Don't care either!

If one of Martin and Smitty's nearly adult children have a baby Vernon and Anita will be great-great-grandparents. That's obvious but I had to type it out because it just sounds so ridiculous. It's the type of joke we used to make about shortsighted SORASing, like on Days when aging Scotty Banning suddenly made Julie, who was just barely entering middle-age, grandmother to a grown man. Did no one think this through? I

I'm fully biased but this is the best looking cast on TV. Watching Martin and Smitty parent those young adults (and Martin out acted by both of them) was painful. They are both at least a decade too young for the story they're telling here. I don't understand the decisions to make everyone so damn old. There's no reason Vernon and Anita should be great-grandparents. You got the luminous Daphne Duplaix playing grandma to grown ahh adults! Make it make sense! Kat and Chelsea are adorable, Chelsea is clearly the weaker actor but they're great together and Kat is a star. Speaking of ages, Kat looks no older than 19 and Tomas is a smooth 30. Stay away from her! Get a job! Thank you to whoever upgraded Tamara Tunie's Dumbledore wig. Now give her more to play. I want Anita to have some real bite. Maybe it's coming, idk. I wish the stories outside of Dani/Bill/Hayley had more momentum and interesting elements. They're clearly invested in making that story shine and giving the three of them rich inner lives (especially Dani who's made about 8 speeches in 2 1/2 weeks). The second most interesting story, Dana and Eva scheming to destroy the Richardsons, is only elevated by the actors because the story itself is one we've seen play out a million times before. Honestly during their scenes I feel like I'm watching Passions or Sunset Beach with the depth of plotting and dialogue we're subjected to. I didn't even realize the realtor sleeping with her trainer was a story, I thought he was just some under-five they hired for a handful of scenes. I didn't know he was a character. The story with her husband is also weird and spotty, why should we care about this man? He might as well be on his own show with the amount of interaction he's had with the rest of the cast (none). I so want to be fully drawn into the show but it's largely the newness and some of the actors that are keeping me invested. I simply can't overly praise a show that has had those excruciating scenes of Ashley and her boyfriend talking about nothing. In fact I don't think Ashley's had a single scene that wasn't a chore to sit through, I sit there blank-faced wondering "What is this? Why is this in the show?". If they spent her scenes having every conspicuously sip Folgers I'd think they were sponsored segments. Hell, I wish they were, at least then I could say "get money".

Yesterday I fully expected Dani to start flirting with her son-in-law because Jacob and Andre could be fraternal twins. Thank goodness Martin is gay and the actor a special kind of wooden, otherwise he’d get lost in the sea of waves, fades and close cropped beards.

I completely understand that that was the intention but the execution was so lacking. It’s not as if they had them bond in a unique or memorable way, they were both sort of just…there, with Ashley doing all the work and Andre just holding the woman’s hand. It was all terribly flat, which holds true for most of the material when there isn’t more than one Dupree in the scene.

I don’t know their ultimate intentions going forward but to me it feels entirely too soon for Dani to be this unhinged. I enjoyed Anita shaming her, could’ve used a touch of that while she was holding the gun (someone will come for me and say that that’s not how you want to approach a person holding a pistol however I think there could have been a way to finesse it). Dani’s family letting her run off after she just held someone at gunpoint and then going back home is insane. Based on everyone’s reactions this is very atypical behavior for her so they should be a lil more active in their concern! And all of their phones should’ve been blowing up. A million people were watching that live stream! The baby elevator stuff was embarrassingly paint by the numbers, no clue what the purpose is of Ashley or Ashley/Andre but right how it’s the weakest part of the show. And don’t get me started on cutting back to Ashley’s undead boyfriend 3 times. Broader thoughts about the show: The first episode was just bad. I’m sorry but I didn’t enjoy any of it. Heavy handed dialogue, some shaky camera work, not great editing. Luckily the rest of the week was a major improvement. But I was really hoping that that first episode would grab me. Every man on this show has the same haircut. Martin, Andre and Jacob all went into the barber with a picture of each other for reference (they all kinda favor each other too). Only the wedding photographer got to have hair that wasn’t the Professional Black Man Waves 3000. I think most of the actors, a number of whom I’m told are new to acting, are doing a fine job. I like the kids and Haley a lot. Naomi…beautiful woman, unimpressive acting.

You mean the dragon lady from a 1970s crime drama? Like I said to you the other day having her shake down Cody for 5k makes her look small and petty. She's meant to be this scary mob boss but doing the work of underlings. Why is this doofus in her office? Drew is the only "villain" on this show worth the screentime. Cyrus is weird. Blaming everything on him is weird. Sidwell is weird. Valentin is weird. And not good weird where they're captivating but just...why are you here? They're all on canvas without any clear or interesting motivations or agendas. And they'll stay there forever because this show does not know how to introduce a story, tell that story and then let the damn actors go.

I’m in the middle of season five and I’m having a good time except Diana is impossible. She’s a miserable malcontent with everyone except Chip and the actress is just downright terrible. I hate her stupid voice (plus she sounds congested all of the time) and her stupid hair. She’s exhausting. I’m not the biggest fan of Karen but not even she deserves a child like this brat. This Cathy story feels empty and a little desperate? I love Lisa Hartman and I miss Ciji a lot (I can see why viewers were so upset at the time, she was so innocent and did not deserve all of these crazy people pushing their issues onto her! And now she’s dead!) but let’s move on.

He's walking around town look like Count Chocula. It looks awful. And yeah this Kai story is not working. We don't know him, didn't even see the accident and most importantly do not care. I like Trina but not enough to put up with this stranger complaining about losing a life we never even saw him have. And Trina dragging both of her parents into counseling this kid they also don't know is weird. I refuse to buy Lois keeping this secret from Brook Lynn, allowing her child to be raised as a cousin right under nose. It just doesn't seem like her at all. Lois unable to call her grandbaby her grandbaby? Naw. They can tell me that Sidwell is charming or a threat but at no point do I buy it. What a weak villain. Three months ago he was somehow conned by Holly, a woman very bad at the career she's chosen, and playing poker for funsies everyday.Also personally I really need for them to move away from him because if I have to hear another reference to lawless Africa I'm gonna lose it. Anna: We have nothing on him, Jason! He committed the crimes on Pride Rock! Mufasa and Rafiki don't want the headache, they refuse to send us the CCTV footage! Shut uuuuuuup
