Having been on a OLTL Classic binge, I think we can fairly put him down on the Top 5 of male soap actors who have had the most hairstyle changes - the very good (loved the early 2000s!), the bad and whatever this is which I assume has to be a character choice. A weird character choice.

I assume Beemer heard we on this thread were dividing up the male population of Salem between ourselves and hearing he had been left out until now, managed to sneak in an extra scene in a few select markets to advertise what he had to offer.

Andrea Evans was perfect for the tone of Passions. She can act and she can do money-hungry desperation like anyone else but there is always an undertone of comedy and ridiculousness she carries with her that perfectly fit Passions. On the other hand as Tawny on B&B I thought that comedic ability undermined her; the character was fundamentally similar but I thought the storyline would have worked better if Tawny was a darker manipulative character rather than Andrea's familiar shtick.

When Alexis told him Shawn was in jail for a crime he didn't commit, Nikolas did mention that while Shawn may not have been guilty of this particular attempted murder, he had been attempting to murder someone anyway.

I don't think Taylor is intended for Eric.

In addition to have good taste in men, she is also an animal lover based on her Twitter feed AND there is this. I don't know how well it will work out because B&B's track record with new hires is what it is but I know I will be rooting for her to stick around for a while. Even if we are going to get another B/R/T triangle

That last hastag confirms she was cast to be in story and that story will involve chemistry with someone. Got to assume TK's Ridge. Gotta love the replies though "Please don't turn Taylor into trash. Taylor would never do that". Where have these people been the past twenty years? Coz 1990s Taylor would not do that. 2000s Taylor slept with more characters than Brooke did, killed Darla while drunk driving and so on.

She is not well-known enough that they reached out to her (and maybe they did send out feelers to "names" who turned them down) so I bet it was as simple as she auditioned and she did best or had a good chemistry with *someone*and they thought it would work Earning a role the old-fashioned way!

I was watching clips of Krista on YouTube this morning - I started looking for Days clips but then YT gave me others - and yep. 95% of her roles were "really really hot woman". And granted, I am gay but that is a sickening face and body for sure. So ironically, as underwritten as her Billie was, it was by far the meatiest role she was given.

Yep. I suspect indeed it was his fault. I mean, I would understand if the show was available anywhere else but it is not so why would the copyright holders have a fit? Either use your property or let others enjoy it for free.

From the comment they feel very discouraged which I understand and probably wouldn't try a third time. It is a lot of time and work uploading those. I imagine getting it all wiped out in an instant and all that work for nothing can be pretty dispiriting and why such uploaders usually don't try again.

I know. Diversity is the spice of life in that way. I definitely see the charisma I guess but since both KA were just physically stunning I thought it could be jarring at times. Not that it doesn't happen all the time in real life. I try not to be negative on actors look when I can but I have a handful of very popular with fanbase actors whose looks are, well, not my cup of tea at all.

Yep. That was why I understand why she was disliked as Billie even though I had a soft spot for her. The pretty thing didn't bother me - actually it kind of made it a more even fight with Kristian Alfonso although one might ask how PR's Bo managed to... never mind - but you are absolutely correct she became very weak on one hand and almost generic on the other hand and it just wasn't what Billie had been. I suspect that was intentional though - since once KA came back the writers want Bope to be the end game - but it wasn't right to the character and fair on KA that she was blamed for it. But it is true that in the spirit of the "Can you imagine so-and-so playing" thread, I can't imagine Allen playing almost *any* of the early Billie material. But I am glad she is getting potentially a second look

I understand why people didn't like her *as Billie* but I liked her and I kinda liked what they were doing then even though it wasn't the Billie we had to come to know and love. I always disliked that nickname. because the belittling moral judgement behind it bugs me. She did Emmanuelle. So what? It is irrelevant IMO to whether she has talent or is in the right role. She was a beautiful woman and looks like she is still. Not an Emmy-winning thespian but she was charming enough to carry what she was given. I dare hope a revamped Taylor might be a decent fit, even if it is a TK-type deal where the original will always be the definitive version but the recast brings enough to the table that there are upsides to have them in the role. That would actually have been a fun idea but I don't think Bell wanted to trade a difficult actress for another. I like KA btw but I doubt she would handle well being supporting on an unfamiliar show that doesn't treat well its supporting cast past the first three months after the hoopla has died down.

I hate to be constantly wishwriting the show but imagine how this could be an actual character layer instead of a random bad line. Billy is a late-in-life child who arrived after all his siblings had already achieved a lot in life so maybe he turns out to be overcompetitive and overaggressive to prove something. It could be that his mother's fondness for Cane and sometimes weird detachment from him led him to overthink his current relationship with Lily and want to prove something to Jill and Lily. Who knows? They could make it a thing and have some interesting character drama out of it. And they could tell it all with the budget and sets they have! It could be all shown on-screen. But no. It is just a bad line and a bad story and let's focus on random characters with stories that happen out of frame.

I'll wait for the execution before I rave but honestly? This is on paper one of the most fun ideas for a Halloween episode on a soap in a long time for me. It ties to current story, gives some fanservice with some visitors (happy to see Nick!) and it is silly enough to fit Halloween. I wonder if it will pay off on-screen but at least that's an inspired idea imo.

I personally always thought Kate C. looked older than she was even she first started. And on the other hand Carmen D. looked younger than she was. There was no way she looked just 7 years younger than BMcK. So I don't know that I would have guessed based on appearance there was a 17-year gap between them. I'd add the wrinkle that Beverley M. always looked older than she was to me as well and setting aside the quality of her performance she always looked to me like a younger sister rather than a daughter of Douglas W. So honestly when I first read the poll KC's mention didn't shock me. Now that I hear the facts, yeah, she was too young but for what it is worth, I was into the idea for a minute there.

My guess is that it will be a TK as Ridge situation. It will probably be a completely different version of the character simply also called "Taylor" and with the existing character relationship with the cast. It may or may not work on its own terms - just not if we cling to the original version of the character but it might be fine if you stick to what's going on on the screen at this moment.

On the other hand, they tape the show, what?, six months in advance. Why not shoot things out of order if pushing it back a few weeks get them the missing actor*ress?
