  1. It's astonishing how little footage exists from the late 60's and 70's... truly a lost decade in terms of visual documentation 📽️
  2. Exactly! I'm glad Suzanne stayed with the show for all those decades, but compared to Marlena, she was largely sidelined until the Victor Kiriakis romance. I mean, she had practically no storyline throughout the '90s, aside from that ridiculous Sarah/Neil plot.
  3. Liz sings ALWAYS at Doug's funeral... Seriously, I'm BOILING here! So emotional
  4. Is it just me, or did the show have no idea what to do with Mickey and Maggie in the '80s — and even less so in the '90s? It feels like it was just a steady paycheck for John and Suzanne because their storylines were painfully boring, aside from the 'Mickey presumed dead' arc in 1983.
  5. Singing 'ALWAYS' at Doug's funeral... Damn, this is emotional. I haven't been this moved since Alice's funeral.
  6. This is the October 18th , 1983 episode .
  7. I think this is what the fans want: the old characters and a respect for the show's history. Bring back Marie, Liz, Steven Olson, Melissa, Kimberly, and maybe even Susan Hunter, and of course, Missy Reeves and Kristian Alfonso.
  8. My Thoughts: Why hasn’t Steve Olson returned to Salem in the last 45 years? Was this ever explained? I imagine he met with Doug and Julie in Europe over the years off-screen, but he didn’t even come back for his grandmother Alice’s funeral. He missed all those weddings and special events too. It’s so strange. I really hope Stephen sticks around - he could be an interesting match for Marlena. I also hope Marie Horton keeps making appearances. She’s the only original Horton child still alive, and we need her on the show! I’d love to see her interacting with Maggie, Marlena, Julie, Hope, and Jennifer. It was great seeing Liz return, but did she keep in touch with anyone during the past 40 years? Did she mention Neil? Also, just a note: her rivalry with Marie wasn’t with Mares Chatham but with Lana Sanders, so it felt odd that they referenced it. I really hope these legacy characters stick around or return more often. The show needs to tap into its rich history and these amazing characters as much as possible.
  9. Tom, Alice, Bill, Mickey, Addie and Tommy Jr. are all gone now. Such a profound loss for the Horton family legacy. It would be quite emotional if Marie acknowledges this during her upcoming visit to Salem. The Horton family's history runs so deep there.
  10. After 54 incredible years, it's time to say goodbye to our beloved Doug... 💔 In the upcoming weeks, we'll get to relive his most touching and unforgettable moments through special flashbacks, and reunite with beloved characters from the past like Liz, Steve Olson, and Marie. Get your tissues ready - this is going to be an emotional farewell to a true Days of Our Lives legend who brought so much joy, love, and music to Salem ❤️ #Days #DOOL #DougWilliams
  11. I wonder why they so quickly abandoned the potential romance between Victor and Christine? I actually enjoyed this love triangle.
  12. Yes, it is unfortunate that Denise Alexander, who portrayed Susan Martin, left Days of Our Lives in 1973, and her character wasn't mentioned for decades afterward. Susan was a significant figure in the show, especially with the emotional and dramatic arcs surrounding her and her son, Dickie.
  13. Hi Y&R team! Would you please consider uploading classic episodes and iconic scenes to your YouTube channel? Many fans would love to revisit these memorable moments from the show's history. Thank you! ❤️
  14. It was a great storyline overall, but I had a few issues. Nikki moved on from Josh's death far too quickly, which felt unrealistic. Marrying Victor on her deathbed was overly dramatic and didn’t make much sense. As for the final showdown with Sarah in the barn, the story ended so abruptly. After terrorizing Nikki for so long, Sarah was killed off far too quickly, leaving the resolution feeling rushed and unsatisfying.
