I thought Nate was Malcolm's stepson...?

He is. They even had Nate call him "Dad," I hated in the latter years when Malcolm came back for Neil's funeral, they had Nate call him just "Malcolm."

  2. Another Locher Room reunion with some of the latter year cast of Ryan's Hope

Tune-in for a Ryan’s Hope reunion live in The Locher Room on Thursday, April 6th at 3 p.m. EST / 12 p.m. PST. Joining us for the reunion are Fred Burstein (Laslo Novotny), Christopher Durham (Dakota Smith), Brian McGovern (Chaz Saybrook) and (Lois Robbins (Dr. Concetta D’Angelo).

  3. The next interviewee on Alan Locher is ...

Don’t miss the chance to catch-up with As the World Turns alum Hayley Sparks in The Locher Room on Friday, March 31st at 3 p.m. EST / 12 p.m. PST. An actress in NYC for the first decade of her professional life including a successful career on Broadway, in film and T.V., daytime fans will remember Hayley for her role as Courtney Baxter Dixon on As the World Turns. She also filled in for Beth Ehlers as Harley Cooper on Guiding Light.

I don't know if it would happen, but it would be cool if JMcook made a cameo as Lance for the 50th anniversary.

I wouldn't hate it! They can have him at least mention what his son Brooks is up to these days i.e., Running Prentiss Industries.

This strikes me as exactly like last time. For whatever reason, they're parking the character for a bit with an open-ended exit. You have to remove her from the contract cast credits if she's not on contract. That doesn't mean she won't return (Sarah will return in some form, given how she left), and when she does, she might be on contract again. But they won't just keep listing her as a contract cast player if she wasn't on contract during the episodes that are airing...

Like I said online, Sarah will be probably back either with a belly full of baby or she gave birth offscreen and try to pass the baby off as Rex's. Sigh!

Why didn't the show ever bring back Bianca?

I always felt that the show was so dumb in not bringing back a plethora of characters that were a blank slate that could've resumed the role that many of the created characters in later years filled.

But back to Bianca should've been brought back around the time they brought Sierra back under Hogan Sheffer. It would've given Lucinda even more, and I would've loved to have seen Lucinda have that one daughter that wasn't righteous and was a bulldozer in business.

So many characters that could've been brought back in addition to Bianca.

Just imagine if they had brought on Hope to stay with Grandma Kim and Grandpa Bob maybe because Andy and Denise were having a difficult time raising the now rebellious teenager. It also could've involved Grandpa John who would've tried to intervene too. She could've been part of the young adult group with Parker, Faith, Liberty etc.,

And the twenty-something set could've used one or two of the Stewart/Ward quads.

Not to mention Daniel could've been used as Emily needed her son instead of that child, they brought on her for her with no connection or ties.

As The World Turns had so much potential to enhance their next generation but we know what happened there.

I was watching the B&B scenes with Thomas, Steffy, and Finn the other day. They kept repeating the same dialogue over and over, barely rephrasing it and offering very little plot development or character progression between the segments. Maybe the ghost of Agnes Nixon needs to come and kick Bradley Bell’s ass.

It appears that their scripts are frequently copied and pasted with their dialogue. Not to mention those scenes with Sheila torn between Deacon and a hypnotized Bill. 😓
