  1. I’m up to March 28, 1997. Ross moves out and then delivers Blake divorce papers, which is so heartbreaking as she breaks down again. Ross starts to pay attention more to his own son, which is mean but understandable at first. Ross and Rick start to fight about immunizing the twins and their overall care. Meanwhile, Abby moves into Reva’s house for now, and Rick brings her mother Charlotte to see Abby. Charlotte is kind and considerate for once, but Abby decides to stay in Springfield for now. Rick vows not to give up on Abby. Dinah and Hart have temporarily separated after their big blowout over her Parisian friends visiting and partying. Dinah and Matt support each other and spend time bonding over losing their loved ones, and they spend an entire episode watching Matt/Vanessa’s wedding video and home movies. Meanwhile, Vanessa has a breakthrough in Lucerne and can see light again! J is taking art and camera classes and taking it very seriously (again, he’s now a more mature version). Their class is going to photograph a nude female model, who happens to be Michelle (what??). Thankfully she got nervous and ran out of the room before she disrobed. They keep talking about Michelle and Dahlia being in high school, but everything this show does screams inappropriate for high schoolers haha. There is no way a university would allow an underage high school teen to pose as a nude model. Michelle’s mom is dead, her father moved to Africa, and her caretaker uncle is a busy doctor who is wildly busy with his own personal life. I guess Michelle has a random Aunt Meta that she just met, but it’s wild to me that Michelle is left to essentially fend for herself while she’s 16-17 years old. Dahlia tells Marcus she loves him. *Yawn* Alan gets angry at Buzz, so he spills the secret that Jenna left Springfield pregnant and that Buzz is the father. Buzz doesn’t believe him, so he confronts Jenna and she tells him the truth, which was pretty touching. He is upset but eventually accepts it and wants to be a good father to Cooper. Amanda is starting to get jealous of Holly and there is a little rivalry brewing, which is amusing. Meanwhile, Annie gets upset when she hears that Josh went to Chicago to help Reva find her sister. She throws something and breaks Brandon Spaulding’s bust, which happens to be holding a secret birth certificate that Alex has been hiding. As the maid is cleaning up debris, Roger stops her and finds the birth certificate, which shows Brandon and a Jennifer Richards as being parents to Amanda Jennifer Spaulding. Roger then shows Amanda, who is completely shocked. As am I! So that means Alan isn’t her father, he’s actually her brother! Amanda is very angry and threatens Alex, now her sister (not aunt), to leave Springfield to maintain some semblance of a life, or stay and face her wraith because she is now on a warpath. Without a word, Alex walks out the door. Later, everyone is wondering where Alex went because they can’t find her and she isn’t showing up to appointments. Meanwhile, Roger/Leo tell Amanda she’s entitled to half of everything Brandon owned. She then angrily tells Alan the truth, which Holly overhears. Alan is in disbelief, but doesn’t hold anything against Amanda, which surprises her. Meanwhile, Alex comes back to town and confronts Alan, who now wants nothing to do with her ever again. “You are dead to me!” Phillip consoles a heartbroken Alex. Alex leaves town (March 25), and I’ll miss Dusay so much. Alan continues to suck. Billy calls and tells Annie that HB is ill and had a heart attack, which allows her to get Josh back home and away from Reva (her plan to send her on a wild goose chase was failing because Josh ended up helping Reva find her sister). Annie’s plan led Reva to a cemetery with a Dutton headstone, which they’re telling her was Reva’s sister’s foster family. Reva unravels a bit here. Reva comes back to Springfield upon the news of HB’s heart attack and sees Annie wearing a copy of her mother/sister’s cameo, and now Reva is concerned that Annie is her long lost sister LOL. I find it odd that Josh and Billy refer to HB as HB and not dad/father, but maybe that was normal for them. Anyway, loved seeing all the flashbacks - Reva/HB, Billy/HB, Josh/HB. March 6 - the opening theme cuts out all the character shots and just leave a shortened version of lighthouse. How disappointing.
  2. I wasn't really satisfied with today's episode, and I'll just leave it at that. I sure hope tomorrow is dynamite when Nicole finally learns the truth. I just don't understand why they left Nicole in the dark when Vernon/Anita/Ted all knew. I just don't feel like Martin is their son since they aren't close and rarely have scenes together. Nicole could handle it. Same with Smitty. Just poor decisions all around IMO.
  3. Thank you for keeping us going, along with all our history!
  4. Thanks for asking her and letting us know! That's great you know who she is and have a connection to her. Do we know why it was shut down (assuming copyright?), and if that's the case, do we know how she would get by with uploading them again without getting in trouble? Or is it a gamble, knowing every other year or so they'll notice and remove again?
  5. Oh wow, I missed this! Do we know why Hillary had to leave so abruptly? I love that LaFortune made a soap return after her long stint at AMC as Laurel. She sounds like Geena Davis here haha!
  6. Two great points, the latter being LOL.
  7. I don't disagree, but when the actor himself says no one has guessed what happened... I think we all expected a twist at that point (or at least me haha). I mean, several people guessed a hate crime and political coverup. But with that said, I thought the flashback and story itself was good, but not sure months-long-build up good. I'm excited to see the aftermath though. I really want this to test Martin and Smitty as a couple with ultimate reconciliation. Although at this point, so many couples are broken up/in trouble LOL. Nicole/Ted, Dani/Bill, Ashley/Derek, Vanessa/Doug...
  8. Haha true... but I guess in that situation, if two strangers were threatening me with a gun and then starts beating on my grandpa, I don't know how quick I'd be to stop fighting until I felt completely safe. It was the guy with the gun who died though right? I already need to go back and rewatch the scene haha.
  9. Definitely felt like a Friday episode. I enjoyed the flashbacks and being able to see it all. But, it really wasn't that edgy or surprising. Was everything covered up solely because of their political status? Generally I would just assume this was all self-defense and there would be a good way to defend them through the legal process. The man had a gun and they threatened and beat on them first.... am I missing anything? Smitty killed it though, he's quickly becoming a star!
  10. Makes sense. The OG seasons and cast members are my favorites too. I still watch, but nothing ever beats the good ol' days.
  11. Haha this was good! I'm not familiar with Peter Rosenthal (!), but it seems like he enjoyed giving it his all there. @DRW50 - are you a housewives fan?
  12. So happy for Miami! Not surprising, but Brit announced on her Insta today that she won't be returning to Housewives. Good riddance! https://www.tmz.com/2025/07/14/brit-eady-exits-real-housewives-of-atlanta/
  13. Oh that does look good, hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I also would love if Bravo played it at some point, or NBC made it available on Peacock somehow. The blond in the middle looks to be the villain/stirs up a lot of stuff! I also love the teacups!
  14. So did Rebecca Budig when she started at GL. But totally agree. 100% agree.
  15. Martin really isn't a great father. He needs some serious guidance. Thankfully those kids have Smitty. Loved the Ashley/Hayley stuff. I also wonder why Hayley would fake a pregnancy, not sure where this is going. Stalker girl is getting creepy, and I like it.
  16. Ahhh interesting, thank you Very wild.
  17. Oh yes! I meant to reply to your original thought on this, but I totally agree. That would have been a great idea, and prevented Lonatrat completely haha.
  18. Isn't it wild? I've not heard two different voices like that have a seemingly casual conversation about a topic, with real facts, be AI. I wonder why AI hates Megan McTavish so much though LOL - I wonder if there is so much written distaste out there and it picked up on it. I also hate the 'unalive' word too, so ridiculous. Let's just use our words, call a spade a spade.
  19. I just realized I'm the same age (41) as AMC was when it was cancelled and ended on ABC (before Prospect Park). That is wild to me.
  20. LOL at Erica walking through a basketball game, owning everyone in her path like the boss she was. I'm also quite shocked at the seedy dive bar where Angie slapped the man, and then later in the ending credits, the bunny lingerie dancer was on full display! How R-rated for the times haha. I randomly came across this podcast on YT, and it feels very AI, in fact I still don't know if it's AI or not. But, it's a great summary from beginning to end. They hit the highlights. I can't tell if they intentionally threw shade at Megan McTavish or not, but it's funny. The fact Susan Pratt got a shout out during the entire show's timeline in this short 35 minute podcast is wild. Again, had to be random AI. I do think this highlights how amazing AMC was in pushing the envelope with social issues. AMC was 100% a trailblazing soap opera.
  21. I finally watched OC and I still side with Emily. I just have a spidey sense with Katie, who seems like a Karen grifter to me. Whatever that story was about her driving to a man's house and acting a fool, still gets to me. Don't get me wrong though, I enjoy her and like having her around. She's like a Danielle Staub - love to hate her. Atlanta's reunion was ok - Kelly said more than we expected from the trailer. I didn't realize she and Porsha were at odds like that though.
  22. Totally agree, the February sweeps in 1997 really gave it some life we needed. I thought all four actors killed it for two straight weeks - Kiefer, ver Dorn, O'Leary and Ecklund. I was surprised to see only Ecklund was nominated that year, although I guess it was very early into the year. Very happy with how much screen time Holly is getting with these interim headwriters, and the attention Roger/Holly are getting. Computer! I use a Mac for my personal computer and only know how to use the internet and text on here. My work computer is Windows and I'd know how to do things on there. I really need to get better at using my Mac haha. I'll go search how to print screen and see what I can do. Let's see if I did this correctly... Whoop!
  23. I’m up to February 25, 1997. Into 2 full years of GL now (Feb 1995-Feb 1997)! During the lighthouse rescue at the Ball, Roger came across Holly, who had tripped and fell. He helped her up before they both knew who each other was in the darkness. Now Roger is having flashbacks and feelings over Holly again, as he’s scheming with Amanda. He has a very sweet scene talking to Meg, which Holly overhears and visibly has a soft, fond reaction to it. Zaslow’s speech in this scene is pretty noticeable, which is heartbreaking. Holly is back to work now, post maternity leave, and she’s working the Roger/Amanda scoop and has some great scenes sparring a bit with Alex. Holly and Roger then get trapped in an elevator, which plummets to the ground, and they are holding each other. Roger is doing a great job of comforting Holly, who is freaking out. Man, I’m so glad they’re finally getting Roger and Holly back in some kind of orbit again after such a long year of nothing between those two. And I’m so glad I get to type more about Holly after all this time! Feb 7 - ugh, Lucy and A-M leave Springfield and have a tearful goodbye at the diner with the Coopers, although only Buzz and Eleni were there. Where was Frank? I’m still salty that Lucy’s friendship with Bridgett was completely dropped long ago. They did spend a good amount of time between Lucy and Buzz, which was sweet to see. After their wedding, and with the A-M recast, it felt like Lucy lost her charm that I fell in love with in 1995. She was barely on post-honeymoon boat disaster, which again, I think a big problem was that she lost any friends she had at the boarding house so she was isolated. A-M basically left for me once Hearst left the role. So this is bittersweet for me. Annie is setting Reva up on a wild goose chase trying to find her long lost sister, just to get Reva out of town and away from Josh. Annie also continues to blackmail Blake into helping her scheme against Reva (stealing files out of Ross’s office; tapping his phone, etc). She holds the parentage of her twins over her head, and while it is mean and I feel for Blake, it’s still quite entertaining to watch it unfold. Rick and Abby have their engagement party on Valentine’s Day, which was nice. I loved that Reva and Alan showed up, only because they brought Abby to Springfield, and it would have been awful if the writers forgot that. Great soap opera: With Holly’s support, Blake finally broke down and made the decision to tell Ross the truth about Rick being the father of one of the twins (great acting by Keifer in these scenes!). She decides to skip Rick/Abby’s engagement party and go to Ross’s office with the twins in tow, and BOOM, gets into a car crash! What a great Friday cliffhanger. Of course, Rick gets called to the hospital from his engagement party to tend to the accident victims and realizes it’s Blake and the twins. Lillian and Rick figure out the twin that’s injured is his (Kevin). How heartbreaking. The hospital calls Ross, who finally showed up to the party, and tells him about the accident. Everyone from Blake’s family heads to the hospital, leaving poor Abby pretty much alone (I feel so bad for her, especially when the baby truth comes out). Kevin is close to dying and Rick screams out he needs to save his son, which Lillian and other nurses hear. Rick and Lillian then save his life in surgery, all while Blake is in a coma, being watched over by Roger and Holly. Rick then FINALLY tells Ross that Kevin is his son. Ross gets angry and throws Rick across the room. These scenes have been fantastic and highly emotional. Wonderful acting by Jerry and O’Leary! Then Ross takes his wedding ring off, walks to Blake’s room where she lies in a coma, and just stares at her. So chilling. Blake then wakes up from her coma and Ross calmly tells her that Jason is fine and Rick saved her child, Kevin’s, life. She then realizes he knows and he confirms it. He coldly tells Blake “You are truly your father’s daughter. Genetically incapable of telling the truth. So amoral and self-absorbed that all you can think about is yourself and your well-being.” Ouch! He then walks out on Blake while she’s crying in her hospital bed alone. Meanwhile, a distraught Rick goes back to the engagement party where only Abby is left alone with their gifts, and Rick tells her the truth. Abby breaks down, cries and slaps Rick. She eventually walks out on him, leaving Rick to cry. Both performances were very strong. I wonder if these are the scenes that got Ecklund her Emmy nom. Meanwhile, Buzz bails Jenna out of jail after she’s caught trying to steal the Grants’ jewelry. He follows her to Texas and she finally spits out the truth that baby Cooper is actually hers. I’ve never been a Buzz fan, but he’s been so tolerable and much more calm since Jenna has arrived and it’s refreshing. So Leo just told Roger some of the Spaulding secrets. Brandon had another kid, Victoria, and left his will to both Alex and Victoria, thinking Alan was dead so he got nothing. Victoria gave everything over to Alex… interesting. J is now courting Michelle and being an absolute gentleman. I love the change they’ve made to this character. Pilgrim’s version was so immature, mean and a bad boy, but now we have a nice, gentler J and I’m happy for that. Opening credits note: Zachary was removed from the opening on Feb 12, and Lucy and A-M were removed on Feb 13. Jenna was added, replacing Lucy as the first character. Ending credits note: I’ve noticed now for over a month that Geoffrey Ewing is erroneously listed as ‘Griffin Williams - Geoffrey Williams’, but still placed in the right alphabetical order between ‘J Chamberlain - Ethan Erickson’ and ‘Holly Lindsey-Reade - Maureen Garrett’. I can’t believe no one has noticed this error! I’d send a screen grab if I knew how haha.
  24. This is great, I'll have to watch these videos later today! I also meant to mention that I had no idea there was a Skye before Christopher! That was a shocker. Sadly I haven't seen much of AMC from the 80s - only random clips here and there. My first memories of AMC are from 1990 (I was only 6 haha). I really remember everything starting 1991.
  25. Thanks for posting - that's quite the hodgepodge of clips! Did that skip to ATWT after AMC? Looks like Lisa Brown! I didn't realize she was on ATWT. I also didn't realize Kassie DePaiva was on GL! Love the AMC scenes in there.
