Yeah, MJ and that guy she was getting married to... i just didnt care. I did find him interesting and wished he wasnt gone so quickly, but her i was just annoyd by even though i did feel bad for her. It was the arrival of Amanda that really got me watching daily in the reruns, and i came to quickly like most of the cast, namely cass first and then really became addicted. I was totally obsessed during amanda/evan affair and then when carl was targeting amanda. the only things that turned me off from caring much was when a lot of focus was on sharleene because i found her highly annoying.

What Are You Listening To?
let me just say, NO SHAME in this. This is my current summer jam. I rock out to it in the shower, in the car with the windows down, dance around in my room, make the clubs play it. I am OBSESSED. <iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yjeUfIhAtVQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The View
nene is insecure and has some self hate, IMHO. She attacks others and bulies them to take them down and build herself up. She does so by claiming this keep it real front and acting like she dont care, but its transparent.

Grey's Anatomy: Discussion Thread
I dont think it was weak. It was a very strong episode and showed Greys doesnt need to rely on stunts. It was emotionaly packed. But its just compared to Meredith as the other womanm Izzy quitting, The shhoting (one of the most emotional events in modern TV, IMHO) and George/Izzy's death (mostly cuz u didnt know if they would be back) i expected an event. I really hope Christina has the abortion. Anything else is not true to her. And the quote is so good and powerful because Merediths mom died of this. Meredith might get this down the line.

Grey's Anatomy: Discussion Thread
WHat an interesting finale. It was very different. Greys usually does BIG finales (Addison arriving, Dennys death/izzy quits/merder sex, Burke leaving Cristina, Callie & Erica/The house of candles/Alex & Izzy, George & Izzy flatlining and meeting in hospital heaven, The shootout) and this one was kinda... like a normal episode. A lot of big stuff happened, but more early on and were simi-resolved by episodes end. I do not blame Derek at ALL for questioning Meredith as a mother considering she doesnt know right from wrong, but i totally see her side in it too ("i dont see the world as right and wrong" or whatever was a great line). Plus, The Chief took ownership as he did pressure into it. Her going home to an empty house with a baby was sad though. I am mostly sad at the Mer/Alex friendship hitting such a rough patch because they have always been there for eachother and are my favorite friendship of the show. EDIT: Found the quote “Because I don’t think that things are simply right or wrong. Things are more complicated than that. This is more complicated than that. It’s complicated that it was Adele and Richard. It’s complicated that we have a drug in a box that could help her. There’s nothing simple about that. I am very sorry that I messed everything up but I would do it again.” Cristina being pregnant is very interesting. Im glad they stuck true to her character and her not wanting it, loved her lines about not hating kids but not wanting to be a mother. I totally get Owen tough. I totally see his side. He is right, they are married and while this is in the end her choice its something worth talking about. I am kinda glad he kicked her out and i hope she does end the pregnancy and they break up. I felt bad for Alex. He fucked up and he knows it, and he genuinely feels bad for it. I love that April got the promotion, though i bet it will be like Callie and short lived. Loved Bailey, her boyfriend, and the subplot with the families of the crash. Question, i missed a lot the past two seasons... can anyone break down what everyones job/specialty is? is Alex strictly in peeds now?

Melrose Place
REALLY? It looks so tiny! Perhaps just because sets are so big and when they use a real set it looks smaller than it is, then again places on the water and in areas are smaller for the location. Lisa Rinna truly was perfect as Taylor. I liked her the first time i watched but this time around i really appreciated the approach she took. Taylor was a cartoon villian. Over the top and all. But Rinna played her with conviction and heart and made you feel for her in her crazyness. Her beating herself with the door was one of those orgasmic TV moments, lol. Why hate to say it? Amanda was a great role and Heather played it to perfection. I do wish someone would create a new primetime soap around her where she is perhaps an author or editor, something in the book world, and then gets caught in a whirlwind romance and introduce a few key people in her life. A serious drama with campy and fun elements and not a comedy trying to be a soap (yea, im looking at desperate housewives).

Melrose Place
Not only do i like billy, i LOVE him. lol. Ugh, Brooke. My h=most hated character, next to the awfulness that was Eve. This is true, however the michael, syd, jane, and kim story was much better, IMHO. All so true. jake/alison were actually good but it was like another show mixed in within melrose place. they had no connection with anything else going on. It was nice when they introduced the Jazz club and had shooters at the same time, because they had the more mature characters at the jazz spot and the younger ones at shooters mostly and it worked. because i will never for a moment believe Amanda Woodward would step foot in a place like Shooters, lol. Then Shooters vanished and suddenly Kyles and Upstairs were the only places in town. You can tell they suffered a budgt cut too because then everyone ended up living in Melrose Place except for Lexi who had that cheap looking room that was supposed to be a condo at the Marina.

Melrose Place
So rewatching the series for the first time in my early-mid 20's... a lot of my views on it have changed. Kimberly way overstayed her use. Keeping her after she blew up MP was a bit much, but keeping her as long as they did and the cancer story and megan and all of that was just far too much. That said, i did like hoe they brought Coop and Lexi in by using her missing time from MP. I never fully realized just how bat [!@#$%^&*] crazy Taylor was her entire run, and i love it. Lisa Rinna played it to perfection too. She played up the camp but never went OTT. I loved the dynamics between Taylor, Kyle, Amanda, and Peter and later on adding in Coop, Lexi, Megan, and Michael. They all played so well off eachother. Billy is a newfound favorite. I love the dude and he became a much more interesting character away from Alison, who sucked the life out of him. I loved his relationship with Sam and their friendship with Sydney and whats his name. As for Amanda, Kyle was clearly the man she loved most, but she belonged with Peter. I think the show actually did a much better job than its given credit for in terms of cast changes. They lost Alison, Matt, Jake, Kimbery, and Syd all at once but the show went on and didnt really miss a beat. Of course a cast change that severe is a hurdle no matter how well its done though.

All My Children Tribute Thread
My mom had always watched AMC, so i remember it here and there through the years but nothing specific stands out. However, i do remember the reason i became interested and started paying attention, and eventually watching it myself. It was christmas break of 1999, Greenlee was gunning for Hayleys job and sparring with Leo. I found the video! <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ZW3CN1sh834" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
