the entire fiona story should have been a supporting story along w/ the riley/zane and claire/eli&drew/alli storylines while building up to the dance and then wed eppy shoulda been the start of the dance and tonights shoulda been all explosions and revelations, leading to a cliffhanger. i am kinda sad at the way its ending, very lackluster so far imho but the overall season was great.

I find that claire/allie/jenna are very believable teenage girls in their relationships with eachother. i like it.

The jenna thing was well done, IMHO. I like that shes so late in her pregnance and cant really get an abortion, taking that option away. because their was really no logical reasoning for her not to have one. But this creates long term drama. I hope she gives it up tho, because i hate kids on soaps. But i thought KC might hit her there for a moment, maybe he will get crazy and she will lose it.

So Jenna is prego... the rest of the episodes look good, i am not looking forward to more Fiona episodes, i would say im over her but i never cared enough in the first place. but the finale of the boiling point? OMG...

I am sure this has been mentioned, but Thomas Gibson was Sam on AW for about 15 episodes or so in 1990, was he temp or a recast they didnt like?

Not really, girls can get abortions into, what is it.. 22 weeks? thats 5 and a half months, a girl built like jenna could easily have a bump by then. but i dount they will go there, i am sure they will keep the baby and show that struggle. I still say doing it with Holly J & Sav would have been better, and actually would work in temrs of keeping them past this school year. They could get a lot of play out of it, because of his parents being so religious and then anya and holly j being broke. i just dont see a baby for jenna/kc being that great of a story. but who knows. also, i seen part 2 of the adam story, it was very well done. lov eli/claire/adam's friendship. i hope they keep it up. i could also see eli/adam happening at some point. adam dating should be very interesting. another thing i love about degrassi? they are not scared to let the fans hate a character. i think most fans will hate that new bad girl after this, and the show is fine with that.

Abortion was like, season 3. So it is not out of the question. Holly J would have been better, imho, but they have years left in jenna, holly j is coming to an end.

Is jenna prego? the adam drama was good stuff. The thing with Degrassi is, its writing isnt brilliant. the acting is ok. but it has this overall feel and tone of realism that it gets because it does take on stuff no other show of its kind would.

Speakinf of fifteen, i just bought it. the entire run. $9 on ioffer. after i get it i will let yall know, that way of any of u want it u will know someone who bought it and got it. I was torn between that and swans crossing, because ioffer has the entire run of that for $15, i will get it next. I choose 15 because i remember watching it and hey dude, and already got hey dude.

Paige really was the most well rounded, layered, and fascinating character of the series, imho. I was just rewatching some season 1, and wow. She changed so much, but it was all so natural and in character. A huge chuck of that goes to Lauren Collins. I will always feel for craig. The episodes dealing with his abusive father, his disorder, and that one where he goes with Emma to see her dad will always make me love him. And ys, you are so spot on about Paige. And i agree, making her of all people the rape victim was a very soapy move. I also love how they didnt deal with it until season 4, when it happened early season 2. They had one episode where they brought it up in season 2 as well, but then that was it, really, until what is perhaps Paiges best moment. It was in Ghost In The Machine, where spinner wouldnt sleep with her and she got angry and told him "The Paige you knew and loved went up those stairs that night and never came back down" revealing that, pretty much, shes been acting since that night. Another great Paige moment was her finding out that Ellie was cutting herself and telling Ellie no, this is not ok. And she admitted they are not friends and maybe never will be, but that doesnt mean shes just going to let her hurt herself. Paige :wub:

I def see what you mean about the friends, but i just feel like this is much more realisitc. I did love it when Paige, Alex, Emma, etc came together against Rick back in the day. Yeah, the cw is the new landing for degrassi stars, lol. miriam actually just makes really bad movies that lifetime picks up because they dont even get a dvd release, lol. But whatever, a job is a job and they all pay. Wheelchair Jimmy turned Rapper Drake is hilarious.

God, no. Death to that skankwhorebitchfromhellmanny. Craig/Ash forever!!!!!1!!!1! And after that its Craig & Ellie. Paige was the HBIC of Degrassi. She ran that [!@#$%^&*]. And in her last year at Degrassi she just didnt care and was like whatever. I loved it when Darcy and Manny would try to bitch up to her and Paige would be all, no. I just dont care. They dont have big groups, but i like that. I dont recall a lot of huge groups of friends. People had their cliques, their group. No, i dont think they did mention her hiv scare. Also, odd note... The girl who plays Ellie's other canada show has been picked up by the CW and Paige and i think Craig are on it. Thats means on The CW we have Darcy, Mia, Ellie, and some Paige. lol. (Another odd tidbit, five actress from degrassi read for the 90210 role that SG got)

Most intersting moments, sure. Finest for a pathetic slut, i guess. Her best moment was Ashley telling the entire school what a little slut she was and how shes prego. Loved that ish. Must go rewatch now. Seriously tho, Manny is my all time most hated char on Degrassi. Ever. By far. The only other person who comes close is... i really dont even know. I would say Dean, because he raped my girl Paige. Soeaking of, paige had the best pairings. spinner, matt, alex. i loved her with all of them. im so bummed they never address if she got hiv or not.

The thong. Sex with craig. "Im gonna be FAMOUS!" as she strips down on video? real talk here, she was more pathetic. All of that is far more pathetic than Alli wanting to be cool and trying to take on the power squad and failing.

Claire & Ali are the new Emma & Manny, except ten times better and less annoying. Ali is annoying, and at times pathetic, but hello... i know so many teenage girls just like her. So it dont both me. I love Claire, mostly just because she is Darcys little sister, but also because she seems legit. And that haircut worked wonders for her. But she is boring and its time to spice it up all ~emma giving jay head in the river for a jelly bracelet~ status.

From what i have heard, its true. Not to say he will never be back tho. If they ever do something to honor degrassis past he will be there.

Because Degrassi knows its audience. It plays what they want. Very few cooks are in its kitchen and at the end of the day one person has final say. Just like with cable shows. Networks are a big part of soaps problem, however its not their only problem. its audience isnt there. They need to move to that 4p-7p timeslot, but it will not happen. degrassi is also able to change, altho it doesnt really change. its viewers grow up, and they do not like the newbies usually but the show keeps doing it because the school and the teenagers are the focus, the characters are great but when they are done the show moves on, with a view exceptions. fans tend to accept this and give the newbies a chance or just stop. Thats fine tho, because new teenagers start watching. Degrassi is really the reason that Teen Nick is a network. ETA... also, this is why disney is replacing soapnet with a kiddie network, so disney chan can go 24/7 and take on teen nick.
