Y&R: Old Articles
That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm amazed it's been this long since Daisy last disappeared with barely any mention. Not that I really care about her, but I'm amazed Lauren didn't have a complete meltdown once mention was made of Daisy's 'mother' signing her out. However, I did like the little reference Lauren made about keeping a gun in the apartment because of Sheila right after Carmine tried to kill her. I'm surprised B&B hasn't at least done that with Sheila's kids. But then I guess crazy Quinn's enough for them for the time being. I think the only thing worse than that Sarah Smythe thing was Pheila. It's debatable I guess, both just made zero f*cking sense at all.

I am surprised at what we're able to salvage from YT from time to time, particularly the 70s/early 80s episodes. It is nice being able to get a glimpse of that era in some form. I have to agree with you there. I'd love to see her attempt to track down James and Mary. Plus, was her supposed child with Massimo ever followed up on?

Still holding out for those 1990 episodes too. Although, I'm pretty intrigued by Shawn and Lauren's storyline now. I know I've seen a clip of her being abducted in a cab, but that's about it. Oh, I know what you mean. Certainly doesn't feel like ten years. I was holding out that some of those rumours of Kimberlin's return may have been true, I was hoping around Michael and Lauren's ten year anniversary in December they may start alluding to her return with flashbacks like in 2005. Can you imagine them trying to explain that Pheila thing? I hope to god GT isn't subjected to having to recreate any of those scenes.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, as I said one thing I loved about Sheila was she wasn't at the core of Y&R's realm. I loved that mysterious factor about her. I think it would have annoyed me to no end though after Lauren's supposed death on that yacht brought the whole town together that they wouldn't be aware of the woman responsible for it to an extent. Good god, I'm actually admitting I enjoyed something LML did, I take it back :3 hahaha Yes, yes it was pretty awful and embarrassing to watch, I wouldn't dare disagree on that one

haha I do wish more B&B from 1992-1998 was available. Oh well, maybe one day. It is consolation enough to find a lot of them on YT even if they aren't in English. I do love the storylines that tend to lean more towards the outside of the traditional Y&R realm. That was one of the pros of that whole Pheila thing, getting to hear everybody from Victor to Katherine mention Sheila by name. Was it Peter Barton's decision to depart the role of Scott, or just a creative decision from the writers? His death didn't bother me until re-watching the 2005 episodes and seeing all the flashbacks, I do wish he was around to see all the anarchy that Sheila caused.

Thanks! It still bothers me that this episode aired exactly 1 week after the full episode of the lab catfight!....that's just the one Sheila/Lauren full episode I've wanted to see for ages...haha I know what you mean. Still, it was nice to finally see everything in between the call and the fight at last. I think the only other Sheila/Lauren full episodes I want to see are the Jacuzzi fight/Scott's death on B&B and Sheila taking Lauren hostage at the apartment.

B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
I'm actually not too sure how this storyline came about to be honest. I've always been curious about it though ever since I saw flashbacks in the 10-16-1996 episode when Sly burned the bar down. I'm so disappointed in how that Aly storyline turned out. The final confrontation between her and Steffy was probably my favourite moment of the year (which is really not saying a lot actually). And as for Ivy and Steffy...the electrocution scene speaks for itself Oh, I know what you mean, to me Stephanie has always been the female equivalent of Victor Newman. She drove me nuts far less than he does however. I have to admit, I did get a bit mushy when they showed flashbacks of her during the Christmas Eve episode.

It's certainly depressing. But I'm always curious as to what they had in store for Kimberlin after this storyline before Jack Smith and Kay Alden were out and Kimberlin had her accident. She was reportedly meant to be around for a few more years yet wasn't she? LML's handling of the character almost seemed like she couldn't get rid of Sheila fast enough.

haha You're welcome. I'm glad to hear some people are enjoying them, I actually went through the archives on here recently and discovered that this wasn't exactly a very popular era to say the very least, especially Sheila's whole return. I couldn't help as I was browsing through the comments but think to myself 'if only you all knew what was to come.' I don't know what it is about J.T, but for as long as I can remember, I have absolutely hated the character. Could never work out why exactly. Oh, I gave up on Mac when Ashley Bashioum left. The only time I seem to be invested in the teen scene on Y&R in general is looking at the 1994-2002-ish years. And as for Brad, he's a character that I wouldn't say I disliked, but I never really paid much attention to. He was just sort of there. I agree 100% however, he and Heinle strangely had some damn good chemistry together. I liked those two together far more than when she was paired with Billy Miller. Speaking of Brad, I went back recently and watched his final episodes back in 2009. I had totally wiped that scene where they find him from my mind, that image of him frozen under the ice will forever be burned into my mind.

The jacuzzi did actually end up resurfacing on YT recently, but the exchanges between Lauren and Sheila both before and after the fight have been cut out completely. I went looking for HT's final scene as Victoria just before, that's gone unfortunately. And I'm still waiting for the clip where Sheila nearly drowns Stephanie in the pool to resurface too. I would buy an EB double just to see what hell Victor could be put through. It'd be the best kind of karma too for the guy that's unleashed three doubles on GC in the last six years.

A lot of the Sheila clips seem to come and go. I'm guessing they privatise them every now and again just to be safe. I thought those dungeon clips had been deleted. haha One day maybe. I'm not holding my breath though. Even if they had a 'Best of' release, I can just see them pulling the same trick they did with B&B and releasing nothing below like 2006. I have to admit, seeing EB giving EB hell somehow seems more tolerable than that Marco crap. I have to give CP credit, I didn't think anybody could make me hate a doppelgänger storyline more than LML did with Sheila, but he pulled it off.

You're very welcome Hard to believe these episodes are a decade old. I hardly remember anything since then nowadays. Merry Christmas to you too I'm glad I found that channel actually, they post a lot of Brenda Dickson clips on there. Speaking of that, I have to thank you again for all the effort, it's great being able to see anything Y&R-related before 1987. I'm glad to finally be able to see some more of Deborah Adair as Jill.

Twins with Terrible Tom...I still can't believe that happened. I never bought that storyline to begin with, I can't buy Sheila shooting Stephanie and fleeing L.A. with Mary, only to give birth to a further two children years later and give them up on the spot just to pursue a vendetta against Lauren. Having said that, the one thing I'm still in disbelief about is the Sharon/Victor pairing. I didn't see this with my own eyes until recently, but...wow is all I can say. Granted, Sharon's rushed funeral for Victor/wedding to Tucker made me laugh until I cried, but that's all I got out of that whole storyline, courtesy of SC.

I had to laugh reading this. Going over the July of '91 episodes today, one line stuck out: Molly's line to Sheila about her always wanting a sister as a child, and eventually making her understand that 'that was never going to happen.' Leave it to good ol' MAB to put the kibosh on that one. I have to hand it to her though, I rejoiced when she reversed the decision to have Katherine and Jill as mother and daughter.

Absolutely, I'll be sure to upload it. And you're very welcome There's plenty more to come from these DVDs. The only downside is out of the five or so compilation releases, two of them contain anything prior to 2003. I had actually uploaded the Brooke's bedroom unveiling where Stephanie tries to strangle Brooke onstage, but they muted out a large portion of it towards the end because of that Right Said Fred song. It was great finally getting to see even a little of that storyline. I have to agree with you, this storyline is soap opera gold. As much as I love Stephanie, the scene right before Brooke takes 51% of Forrester, when she looks Stephanie dead in the eyes and tells her 'I've finally beaten you' goes down as one of the most satisfying moments I've seen on any show, period. Stephanie's reaction to Sheila's appointment as Brooke's liaison was the icing on the cake.
