To keep this about Search, I know Mary Stuart also had a short term role on OLTL (which Chris Schemering or someone panned her for - I've never seen the episodes myself.)

Google tells me it was a two-week stand in April 1988. I wonder if the writer's strike threw things off, that Mary's appearance was intended for May, a sweeps month.

Did Erika once say that she had a hard time playing Tori or am I just making that up? Tori was the alter who interested me the most, but she never does return, even when she would have made sense (as mentioned in another thread, Niki in 2002 was basically Tori, just with much worse writing).

If I remember the trivia book correctly, it was Princess that Erika had trouble with. The persona clicked once she was told to look up to her scene partners, the way a child would with adults.

No idea where to put this Circus of the Stars as it has performers from GL, Dallas, Dynasty, Knots, and future soap stars like Steve Burton, but I may as well put it here for Don Diamont. Only a partial taping but Don's part is intact.

The talent booker was clearly mandated to grab anyone who would say yes. Ah, well, it is nice that tried for some variety, and that not everyone was on a CBS show.

(I wonder if they were holding out for Mick to appear in the part)

Still, I thought it was a decent pilot and I'm sorry it didn't get picked up. Dinah got Empty Nest a few years later but I thought they wasted her talents.

Thanks @Franko. I never would have heard of a number of these pilots without you.

Oh, you just know that if the show got picked up, Mick would have eventually cameoed or guest-starred.

I have a real fondness for Tartikoff-era pilots. You start thinking, "Could this have worked on another network? What would it replace? ..." I'm glad to be sharing some curios.

They've got like nine entries about It Had to be You on their blog connected to that Teri Garr pilot! It's quite a ride.

Speaking of that, they didn't write in depth about Death and Taxes, did they? The blog is nice, but a little hard to navigate.

I don't think there was anything implied one way or the other. There wasn't any dialogue, I don't believe, about his private life at all.

Thank you. I wondered if there was something cutesy, like Cass calling to say he was on his way home, etc.

Death and Taxes, intended for NBC in 1993. Starring Teri Garr and Craig Bierko, with a supporting cast including Cynthia Harris, Iqbal Theba, Patrick Warbuton, and Dakin Matthews and guest star Wallace Shawn. Watch it on YouTube for co-creator Darrell Vickers' candid commentary.

ETA: Are Teri and Craig in the living room from Family Matters?

I'll take a shot in the dark and assume that "Modesta" was meant to shade M.J. Like if her name was P.J., SoapNet would be claiming the P stood for Prudence.

Early SoapNet could be a bit snarky. They had a promo once with a baby's rattle and a voice actress saying, "Gee, he really doesn't have his father's eyes, does he?" Or the promo I'd love to find again, where The Colbys comes across as a farce.

Did Luke have a fake funeral in the early 80s he was first involved with Holly?  He was presumed killed in an avalanche but was injured and being held by DVX agents (their version of the KGB). That's when the whole Robert & Holly relationship began because she was going to be deported so Robert married her.

Luke had two fake funerals in the early 1980s. The first was in 1980, when Luke was presumed dead after falling overboard from Frank Smith's yacht. The audience knew Luke was alive, and he even got to observe his own memorial service. The second was in 1983, when Luke was presumed dead after being caught in an avalanche. The audience didn't immediately know Luke was alive, but they found out in the episode right after the funeral.

He had at least one, and it was the incredibly fun funeral where several of his ex wives showed up in hats and veils.

Asa's 2001 fake funeral is certainly memorable. I think he also had one circa 1983, during the love triangle with Bo and Delilah (as a way to test her fidelity?).

I forgot about that. Sharlene was there before Tony and Lucy broke up. Did Colton live there too?

Yup, you're right. Charlene blackmailed Lucy into living with her and Tony.

Colton might have eventually moved there. I know that he lived above Kelly's when he was introduced, and maybe lived with Felicia at the brownstone when they were a couple. I'm also thinking Decker probably moved in with Charlene at some point.

Now that I think about this, I hope that house was paid off. Can you imagine trying to figure out who's handling the mortgage?

The Webber house on GH housed Leslie, Rick, Laura, Amy, Mike, Blackie and later Ginny. Also Robert, Anna, and Robin, through Mac and Felicia’s girls.

Between the Webbers and Scorpios, Tony also lived there. I think Tonia died before she got to live there, but Tony lived there with Lucy. Once that marriage was done for good, Charlene lived there (or maybe Lucy shared the place with Charlene?). It was the site of Alan & Lucy's wedding.
