  1. Yep. Michael Cohen stonewalls.
  2. The editing on that sequence was incredible. Reminded me of the old 'pixelvision' experimental shorts of Sadie Benning. I believe the stuff with electricity and outlets dates back not only to Eraserhead or FWWM but also Lynch's famous unmade script Ronnie Rocket. (IIRC, the 'outlet' on the wall in the chamber changes numbers depending on where it sends Cooper - first to the cigarette lighter, then to the outlet at Rancho Rosa.) I think the eyeless/eyes stitched shut? woman ("Naido" played by Nae Yuuki, who appeared in Lynch's Inland Empire) was shocked and sent flying, presumably to her death but who knows. The critics still mostly love it and think the show is unbelievable, so I don't get worried about the occasional malcontent (here's looking at you, Michael Ausiello) or the occasional pockets of audience who hate the show for being different. Those who don't get it don't get it, and that's fine. Apparently the streaming numbers are quite good, too. Meanwhile, some fanart from comic book artist Francesco Francavilla:
  3. Episode 1 of Lynch/Frost's post-TP period sitcom On the Air, featuring many Peaks alumni. Pilot directed by Lynch.
  4. In Episode 4 Bobby says Cooper was the last person to see his father alive. In the Secret History, the book ends with Briggs getting a visit from 'Cooper' (the doppelganger) the day after Episode 29. After the meeting Briggs says something is wrong and that he is going to his listening post in the woods to warn other people in Project Bluebook. The book ends there. According to Bobby, Major Briggs died in a fire at the listening post that same day. One can assume the doppelganger killed him and then left town immediately after.
  5. Once again Sky Atlantic screws the pooch: Episode 5 has leaked in Germany.
  6. I think that's it for both McDermitt and Meg Foster (the teller who gave Cooper quarters). I wasn't expecting them both to have such small parts, but that's kind of typical of Lynch with bigger names. Some people have said Foster was wearing the Owl Cave ring, but I don't think it's the same one. I did like Andy and Lucy's reaction, it was quiet but respectful. I also thought the high-tech back room full of more skeptical new cops was interesting.
  7. Madeline Zima (Tracey from the premiere) talks working on TP.
  8. Nah. Meanwhile: TP gets strongest streaming numbers ever for Showtime.
  9. Here's the original WP piece on Kushner. Also:
  10. In case you thought it couldn't get worse for TrumpCo: Surprise! Jared Kushner tried to set up a secret communications network with the Kremlin. Meanwhile: this piece about Clinton is a must-read. Much more at the link.
  11. EW talks to Lynch about the first four episodes. Much more at the link.
  12. Yeah. After the insane binge of Sunday this wait is excruciating. There is nothing like it on TV - again.
  13. Matthew Lillard (Bill Hastings) talks to IndieWire. The cast talks to THR. Lynch talks to Variety. Looks like I may have been right about a bigger role re: Jake Wardle's character (Freddie Sykes), briefly glimpsed with James at the end of the premiere -
  14. Wow. Great to see them together. More pix here. This is my favorite of the covers:
  15. Laurie Holden (Andrea) is recurring on The Americans as Noah Emmerich's mysterious new girlfriend.
