  1. Exactly. He spends at minimum the next two weeks of the last stretch of the campaign in isolation being seen as ailing and on the verge of death. The entire GOP is thrown into disarray for fear of coronavirus. The SCOTUS process may even be derailed or delayed. And this is some brilliant scheme? Nope!
  2. It's not a stunt, lol. Trump is a germaphobe. He hates appearing physically weak. To him the appearance of strength is everything, hence his fake crackpot doctor claiming he is super healthy and fit when he first took office. This runs counter to all of that. He's already symptomatic. And this has sent his WH and the GOP into even more chaos, which is the opposite of what they need a month before Election Day. Y'all need to get this vision in your heads of Trump the master schemer pulling the strings out of mind - he has never been that. Ever. He's just an idiot. I know it might be more comforting to imagine he's some secret evil genius based on everything we've been through that he has wrought on America, but a supervillain didn't do it. A fool did.
  3. That's Fox. That's not the rest of the world. They're grasping for straws. Even they were angry at him yesterday for not condemning white supremacists.
  4. A lighter moment re: Melania's insane anti-drug ad with the bizarre side profile Streisand angles:
  5. It is not a ploy. He got it from Hicks. He detests weakness, especially physical weakness, and is an intense germaphobe. Being seen as sick, ill and infirm is his worst nightmare. He wanted the debates; he felt he did well Tuesday even though his entire admin thought it was a disaster. He was demanding the next one go fwd unchanged. He did not want this. He was rasping on calls yesterday. For the final time: Everything Trump does is not a masterful 3-D chess ploy. He is just that [!@#$%^&*] stupid and incompetent. He has failed countless times in office. He faces constant political and personal catastrophe because of his own mistakes. He got this disease by being himself. No one is gushing and it is a disaster for a dying campaign and administration - now possibly literally. Stop thinking this man is an unstoppable superman when at every turn he has shown you he is not. In fact, it's only by the grace of God and his utter stupidity and incompetence and legacy of failure and supreme fallibility that have we managed to survive the last four years. An actual superman would have destroyed us all, instead of almost doing it by accident like him.
  6. CNN assumes the debates are done, and so do I.
  7. It will, judging by the above news. Pre-reveal, he blamed the military for Hicks getting it:
  8. But wait - there's more. @DRW50 this one's for you! A perfect rejoinder to Rachel's frankly obnoxious tweet.
  9. LMAO at witches hexing Trump in the comments:
  10. It is not a master plan, lol. Dude has it. Got it from Hope Hicks.
  11. Wow, they're back! Guess I need to finish the last episodes of Season 2. It really is good. Wild to see the entire family in COVID masks. LOL at Mark doing a temp check on Dan.
  12. Yeah, read the actual headlines, including the headers and the opening grafs. I did from the Post and the Times last night (I'm not going to comment on Anchorage and Arkansas because c'mon). Some of the headlines are definitely mealymouthed, but they're still not super both sides on this in the stories themselves. And these handful of weak print headlines aside, the overall media coverage, especially on TV, has most certainly not been both sides. There is a difference between being pragmatic and clear eyed about the failings of media, and then searching for the evidence that fits the worst story we expect. I fully expected the media to find a ways to both sides the debate before it ended in order to find a way to give Trump a comeback. They didn't and aren't. This is what is on TV and in media this morning.
