  1. She did go through DAYS first for a couple of years in between AMC and BB, and from clips I’ve seen of her on DAYS, you can definitely see the similarities between both her AMC and BB looks.
  2. It’s still hard to imagine sometimes that Genie was only 16-17 in those photos (I imagine this was pre-rape).
  3. Found this 1985 partial episode whilst in a Youtube rabbit hole. Lots of Hunter Tylo scenes (before she was Hunter Tylo), a bit of Greg, and pre-Lauren-Holly Julie!
  4. So I’m currently in the Phase 3 trials for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine here in the UK. I’ve already had two shots (first in January, second two weeks ago), and apart from a nature immune reaction 48 hours after the first shot, everything’s been smooth sailing. The trial itself goes for two and a bit years, and my next check up is scheduled for September. I officially do not know if I have the vaccine or placebo, but judging from the reaction after the first shot, it’s safe to bet I have the real deal. The good thing about this trial is that due to the faster-than-expected rollout of the vaccines here in the UK, if I get called up for the NHS rollout vaccine, I can asked to be unblinded in the trial without any further consequences. So either way, it’s a win-win situation.
  5. Semi final running orders have been released! Youtube recaps are also here...
  6. Do correct me if I’m wrong here, but I was under the impression that Viki and Dorian were enemies for a looooong time (as in a couple of decades), and the friendship aspect only started to occur *after* Dorian was ultimately cleared of Victor’s “death”. In saying that, I have seen clips from the later OLTL years where there was a genuine friendship there.
  7. There have always been those relationships on soaps where the parties cannot stand each other, yet go through phases where their friendship is just about unbreakable (perhaps because they know each other so well). For me, Kendall/Greenlee on AMC is the prime example of that. Who would be the ones that stand out most to you, across all of the soaps past and present?
  8. Been going down a Youtube rabbit hole of Erica/Kendall scenes lately... the way this relationship turned around and became one of the strongest mother/daughter relationships in all of daytime is why I could watch these kinds of scenes all day.
  9. My top at the moment... Also, Israel has released their long-awaited revamp - and it has changed the song dramatically: And as previously reported, Belarus are GONE! I’ll update the main post shortly Malta are now the clear betting favourites, ahead of Switzerland and France. A really interesting stat - if these three songs are indeed the final Top 3 in Rotterdam, it will be the first time since 1986 that: 1. all three songs have French song titles, and 2. two of the Top 3 are fully French language. Nice find! So a bit of historical context here - ABBA had competed in the previous year’s Melodifestivalen with Ring Ring, but had only come third. Now at the time, the regional juries were “experts” - musicians, actors, journalists, etc. When the juries knocked back Ring Ring, the public went into uproar as it was by far their favourite (but unfortunately had had no say in the vote at the time). So following that controversy, the jury system was revamped for Melodifestivalen 1974 - the regional juries were now a mixture of musicians and general public (the first time the public had had a say since 1962). And it was partly due to this revamp that Waterloo came out on top by a large margin. And the rest, they say, is history... 😉
  10. Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia might have something to say about that 😉 In any case, Vasil has been cleared, and will continue to represent North Macedonia with the same song in Rotterdam.
  11. And Deven Green did a brilliant send-up imitation of that accent when she did the comedy dub-over of Brenda Dickson’s Welcome To My Home videos - it’s f***in hilarious.
  12. So it’s been a bit quiet on this thread since all (well almost all) songs were revealed. I’ve updated the first post with more of the official Eurovision videos, so feel free to check them out if you haven’t already. Betting odds on average have Switzerland and Malta almost tied for joint favourite, with the former having the slight edge. North Macedonia are currently “reviewing” their participation due to the backlash following the unfortunate depiction of a Bulgarian flag in the music video for their entry. And allegedly there is a new song in the works for Belarus, but we won’t know the outcome of that for a little while yet... Meanwhile, 60 days until Semi Final 1!
  13. I’m curious... now I say this having not watched all the episodes since the wedding disaster, but has it been suggested at all that Franco may not be really dead? Seeing Jason being extremely cool about Franco’s death, is it possible that Jason may be secretly working with Franco to bring down Peter? I know they just did all this with Taggart, but this is GH we’re talking about...
  14. Oh boy... this is gonna be an interesting quiet time in the lead-up to Eurovision week! And we still haven’t heard if Belarus have been officially disqualified or whether they got a new song submitted in time. I’ve actually taken some time away from Twitter as the fandom on there are completely toxic, and it gets in the way of purely enjoying the contest. It’s also a breather for my own mental health. Meanwhile, latest betting odds are here: https://eurovisionworld.com/odds/eurovision
  15. While this is not the thread to talk about it, I will say that I also live in the UK and I never saw any disrespect for any protocols or anything like that - if anything Harry and Meghan were what the Royal Family should have been aiming towards in terms of their future. On the other hand, I certainly did witness the UK media basically treat Meghan more negatively than Kate on things that both ladies did, and I think it’s great that the tabloid media in the UK have been exposed the way they have. The Royal Family are not and have never been beyond reproach, no matter how much a section of the UK public wants to romanticise them and fantasise that they are still ruling over a great empire.
  16. And rounding it all off for this year... Georgia... and finally Malta...
  17. So Sweden decided tonight in the Melodifestivalen final, through a unanimous jury and televote decision, that Tusse would represent them in Rotterdam! Also, Iceland is out!
  18. Also this Liza Minnelli collab with the Pet Shop Boys from 1989... absolutely sublime ❤️
  19. Betting odds are heavily favouring Tusse at the moment for tonight’s Melodifestivalen final, with Eric Saade a very distant second. Tusse was also the winner of Swedish Idol in 2019, which is why he has a lot of popularity within Sweden currently. Will be interesting to see who comes out on top, especially with all the returnees (Eric Saade, The Mamas, Charlotte Perrelli, Danny Saucedo, Anton Ewald, etc).
  20. There’s another angle the writers don’t seem to have considered yet with the whole Peter mess... they need to get Frisco back on the action. Firstly because of his role within the WSB (he was heading it last time I remember), not to mention that he is also Maxie’s dad!! If there was anybody who would have a vested interest in protecting Maxie from Peter, it’s Frisco!
  21. YAAAAS!! This is exactly why I created this thread. Eurovision is not really something that’s publicised or much known about outside of the US, so I found an opportunity to expose it to a new audience here. And the great thing is, it happens every year. If you have a chance, take a look through some of the back catalogue like alphanguy has been doing - you would be extremely surprised at some of the gems you will find. And don’t forget this Siegel classic from that era either 😉...
  22. Germany, Belgium, Sweden, UK and Portugal were my personal favourites from 1982. And while everyone has different tastes (of course), it was quite the memorable win for Germany that year, being their first of two victories at Eurovision. It is indeed one of my favourite winners to listen to. Tomorrow night we finally get Iceland’s song, and also Sweden will have their final of Melodifestivalen! @I Am A Swede who are you picking to win? Meanwhile, here’s Latvia...
  23. Poland is here! And Latvia will be out within the next couple of hours...
  24. And here’s North Macedonia... I’ve also just done a quick refresh of the first post with all the official videos for the songs from the Eurovision Youtube channel, so they’re the latest up-to-date version of the songs.
  25. Today we got FOUR new songs to add to the Eurovision 2021 repertoire! Austria... Greece... Switzerland... And lastly, Bulgaria...
