I can't get my computer to download the clips so I can make the screen cap. Would someone be willing/able to make a screen cap of Melody Thomas (pre-Scott)'s credit from the April 1982 episode for me, please? Thanks!!
Archive.org is a little weird. In the box with "Download Options" I hover where it says "Windows Media" and then a little button pops up to the right of "Windows Media" with an arrow to download.
Another more straightforward way is clicking "Show All" and then you get a link page like this https://archive.org/download/TheYoungTheRestlessLateApril1982partial and just right click on the .wmv file and "save link as."
It's important that as many of us download these files as possible, in case they ever get removed and someone has to upload it to youtube. Having multiple copies floating around helps preserve these amazing finds.
Never made a screencap before, so I hope this turned out alright.

Yeah it was a song
I hate when that happens. I really hope you can find someplace else to upload it!

Awesome! Just the thumbnails are making me nostalgic. Was there a copyright problem on the Christmas episode? Maybe you could upload it on MediaFire or something?

I see that pannoni4 has uploaded a bunch more Y&R, including several videos from the 1980s! https://archive.org/details/@pannoni4
@amybrickwallace one of the 1982 videos has Melody Thomas listed in the crawl.

Been digging through archive.org a lot lately and found this 2004 episode uploaded by Rock the Vote https://archive.org/details/rtv_boldandbeautiful_20040923/rtv_boldandbeautiful_20040923.ISO (click Show All to download as mp4).

Totally. I often see Y&R very unfavorably compared to, say, a Nixon soap in terms of humor, and I remember laughing out loud at Y&R a LOT growing up.
I remember being so shocked whenever the soap magazines would say that Y&R didn't have humor like the other shows. It was hilarious but it was more the subtleties in the writing than having some obvious "comic relief character" (or God forbid, animal) come out. I mean, GH literally ruined the episode with Stone's death with scenes of Sigmund the freaking duck.

I actually do have that clip saved! Here you go. In all seriousness, I love that Esther was trying to take care of Kay, and even later went to school to be a substance abuse counselor.

A lot of the lines Katherine and Jill would spew out always make me laugh! You never cease to amaze me, YRfan23! How do you not only keep track of all the air dates, but actually remember where to find specific lines in specific shows!?

I think I remember that too lol. John was struggling with impotence around that time, and it was unusual for him to “get it up.” It had to have been spring-ish 1994.
Hah, as a tween I learned what impotence was thanks to John and Paul.

I don't have any of my own 70s or 80s episodes, just some things I've saved from other people. I have a couple of 1984 episodes. Are you talking about Nikki's hand drawn picture in the opening credits? I'd have to see if she's in those. Have you seen the early 80s eps that @YRfan23 posted?

I'm glad you enjoyed them!
I have 6 episodes from June 1999 (unfortunately, this is all I have for that week). This includes Victor coming back from the dead for the (third?) time, the "I Will Crush You" portrait scene, Katherine admitting she is Mac's grandmother, scenes from the Cassie custody trial, and a special appearance by Leanna Love! (and, weirdly, Tara Lipinski).

I will be uploading more full eps but for now I wanted to share this playlist of Y&R minisodes that use to be on the CBS site. 5 minute clips with stories like the Matt Clark/Nick Newman fight at Crimson Lights, Christine & Paul's honeymoon, and Cole telling Victoria that Victor was his father. There was also one with Victor & Nikki's 2002 wedding, but there's a worldwide copyright block on that and I have the full episode for that anyway, if anyone needs that (assuming that I'll be able to upload it).
I changed my second channel's name. BoldRestless is my public channel where I have ATWT and GL full episodes and some Y&R and B&B promos and specials. RestlessBold is where I will upload unlisted Y&R and B&B episodes and other clips.

Just posted this in the Old Y&R thread. Check out the scenes at 23 minutes in and 31 minutes in.
These are such sweet scenes between Neil & Dru, with Neil talking about his faith... I sense there is a lot of KSJ in here. What a magical couple.

Hi! I used to post here a couple of years ago. KSJ's death brought me back to reading the forum, and I really missed this thread. I've just waded through the past 100 pages and plan to go through everything. A lot of the private links are still up! I don't suppose anyone has a master list of all the private playlists? Archive.org looks like it has some potential. Technically they have a copyright notice too, but Sony/CBS might be less likely to harass us there.
I want to go through and upload a bunch of stuff... for now, I got into one of my old youtube channels and I'm just reposting whatever I found in there... probably some stuff you may have seen before. It's a mixture of my own tapes, DVDs I bought, and downloads from other people. Enjoy!

I haven't posted here in years but I have to share my grief over KSJ. So young! What an amazing talent. I'm crying over here watching Shemar's instagram post. Damn. Thank you to everyone who has been posting links and tributes; I look forward to revisiting this thread.

Thank you, I was hoping someone had these scenes!
If youtube isn't working you can try dailymotion or mediafire. It looks like you got it handled though.

Oh, my bad, I had to re-upload that one so I totally forgot to unlist it. Should work fine now.
Works now

Thank you guys so much!
Since Y&R21395 is uploading a bunch of 2005, I figured I would upload the one ep I have from Nov 17, 2005... I think I uploaded it before. Basically, I need to go through all my DVDs and start ripping new stuff like Y&Rfan23 has been doing
BTW, the link for 8/17/05 isn't working for me... it says it's private. It should work if it's changed to unlisted.

I don't know if it's just in my region that it's unavailable or that it's been removed entirely, but just in case I managed to save this. I think this is all of the Lauren and Sheila scenes from that particular episode.
First of all, thanks so much to everyone posting episodes!
A little tip I discovered for when a video is unavailable in your region: Type the URL but put ss in front of youtube. That takes you to another site that lets you download the video that you were not able to watch. It doesn't always work, but sometimes it does. It does not work if the video has been deleted or blocked worldwide.
