  1. Yeah I thought her and Lester's Jack did share scenes too...I think there was maybe once an episode where they interacted....perhaps it was something that was dropped before George's death....I do wish that the Victor relationship was explored more as I think Cassandra was exactly the wife Victor always had in mind.... Speaking of Cassandra and Brad I have those episodes from December 1990 coming soon where she drugs Brad into "marrying" her in Las Vegas.....all those scenes were surprisingly hilarious and you will see why when I post them....it's the type of comedy I wish the show continued in later years cause I always thought starting around 1993 the show became more serious and lost some of it's quirkier moments.......I don't really get why she did all that though....this was all leading to her exit anyway..... I would love to have seen Sheila and David interact only because I can just see him thinking he's got the upper hand and then her turning around and stabbing him in the back as she so often did with other people who tried to outsmart her....Diane ultimately did that to him but you know Sheila would be more vicious...She would deliberately push the trash compactor button if she had any part in that story...LOL Yeah I can't picture Jill and Cassandra getting along all that well......I could also see Katherine befriending Cassandra and those 2 coming up with schemes to bring Jill down.
  2. I like Brittany too and it's a shame they decided to drop her....though it's interesting that Sheila was on her way and for some reason I often think they are similar both appearance and visual wise, so I wonder if they didn't want too similar looking actresses on the show.... I know we've often talked about how Sheila never really interacted with the corr people of the show, but I wish they showed Cassandra in scenes with more of those people too, as well as Brittany.....I know they have had to met at least once but I wonder what Cassandra and Jill would be like together?...
  3. 5/9/90 (Last May 1990 for now)
  4. That's right, Bill Bell liked to reuse the same actors for different roles over the years so I think Lilyan was just another example, though I wish scenes existed of her as Marianne.....and yes I saw her interviews, I just love how sweet she seemed to be compared to Lil....
  5. Yes it is, but she doesn't show up in the last 2 episodes I have from this month unfortunately...that one other May 1990 episode that use to be on here (May 16) had one of her first appearances but I'm not sure if that was her actual first episode..
  6. 5/7/90 (Drucillia's first episode!!!)
  7. I never heard that about Skip....how sad for Carol if that was the case, but I don't believe that he died like that....that sounds like such a Chuck Pratt thing to do... Carol appeared till about summer 1993.....who knows if she was still mentioned or maybe even appeared once a month after that?
  8. I'm always glad to post new stuff! 5/4/90
  9. I feel like most of the reason everyone is coming off as more of an assh**e (besides Victor obviously) is perhaps they were still in the process of trying to change up Jack from Lester to Bergman now that I have seen more of Lester I now fully understand why he was more LOVED to hate then Bergman ever could be..... I'm guessing this was some of Michael (Crawford's) last episodes.....Silva was still there but used sporadically till later that year.... whatever the reasons, it's still painful to watch later scenes of Carol knowing how depressed Christopher Templeton looks for not having a story of her own anymore....
  10. Your welcome! I know you've heard it enough, but I always enjoy your input! That intro with Cricket was a little unusually long for my liking but you are right about those little moments that defined what the show was back then.....it's great to listen to the music without that much dialogue too..... I really did enjoy Nina in all these episodes too!, The Marge scene was hysterical, as were Nina and Chases's reactions....the part where Nina go's "Oh my G*d it's me Nina, Mrs Chancellor" really cracked me up.... it's still disappointing to me how Bell just got rid of Chase in the middle of the David story....they dropped so many hints that him and Nina were going to end up together, yet he just disappears before the real drama even happens....Chase also proved he was a worthy foe of David's on numerous occasions..... ugh.....the Victor scenes actually made me cringe the entire time watching.....I know Victor's always been an ass, though back then he showed a lot more depth obviously but he's just flat out terrible in all these scenes IMO.....it's just so hard to watch him and Douglas (who I usually love but hate it when he always kisses Victor's ass....) plotting out his bribe knowing he wasn't really going to give Jabot back anyway....and yes I was also so weirded out with the scene of him and Miguel discussing Jack getting drugged and Miguel looking like he enjoyed doing that to Jack.....that honestly changed my opinion of Miguel, which is a shame because he and Jack always had such a warm relationship............I can only hope that perhaps Miguel went along with it because he though Jack was an ass at first but he later changed his mind.......Miguel has even said how much of a good father figure Jack was to the kids...... you would think MAB or Chuck Pratt was ghost writing those scenes..... Everyone watching Leanna's show was fun.......I always wonder if it's suppose to be a bit of of a tongue in cheek with the actors watching "their" show.....I loved how they used the segment from the one April 1990 episode I posted.....Jill's reactions were the funniest with her looking at John and her horrified look when she realized how much he was buying into the show.....Ashley's rant at the end was great too, and I agree it's nice to see some of more of Ashley's bitterness of Leanna......it's also a good bitterness unlike how Eileen would portray it I hate to say.... Carol was great though that story always bores me.....I'm guessing it ended happily since she got the baby afterall and Skip just disappeared.....haha yeah that recast boyfriend looked more like Nan's father..... Yeah this was the baby Lauren miscarried....the episode where she miscarried was seen on that other May 1990 episode which was supposedly one of Sheila's first episodes.....I guess this was written in because Tracey Bregman miscarried in real life. I always like it when Scott and Cricket interact because it became so rare after Scott married Lauren.....something I noticed about all the episodes I just got is that you see Scott interacting with a lot more characters he never usually acts with.....it seems so rare outside of Lauren and later Sheila....
  11. Here are the first 2 episodes of some new May 1990 I just got.....these dates follow the 5/1/90 episode that DRW50 re-uploaded....more to come! 5/2/90 5/3/90
  12. Thanks so much! I will post the other May 1990 dates I just got soon!
  13. sure! I have the dates that follow that I will upload soon.
  14. Does anyone still have the links for the May 1, 16 and October 18, 1990 shows that were originally uploaded by Btm85bubs? I got more episodes from May and October 1990 to share with u guys but wanted to know if anyone still had those episodes?
  15. I guess most of the original background music was borrowed from other series....not necessarily a bad thing cause I thought I heard other soaps did that too.... I still associate the music more with Y&R then where it was originally heard from...haha
  16. Also this score by John Barry was borrowed as background music too...
  17. This probably all belongs in the background music thread, but here is something cool I just discovered...which might have already been known to most of you, Thanks to a wonderful person who gave a lengthy Y&R music lesson on amazon when I was looking up the 1998 soundtrack, here are some of the tracks off of the "Bless the Beasts and the children" soundtrack that was used for Y&R background music mostly in the 70's to the early 90's......I knew the theme and other music was borrowed but didn't realize just how much....see if you recognize any of these tracks.....
  18. Thanks, I actually saw those episodes posted, and was trying to figure out what language it was......i'm guessing this is early 1988.... I'm gonna be getting more episodes from May,October and December 1990 and July 1991.
  19. thanks! these are always fun to watch....It's just too bad Y&R didn't win the first round...I would have loved to have seen Kimberlin go up against her old team mates, considering she didn't work with most of them (and if I'm right Scott Reeves would have been who she was playing against...I always wanted to see those 2 together for some strange reason...) I hope there is another day from that week where Y&R and B&B play against each other....
  20. And you know what good that did later....
  21. Nathan to me always seemed to be one of those supporting characters who wouldn't be able to stand on his own, which is why characters like Amy, Dru,Olivia really helped to add depth to his character.... I will need to watch those episodes soon....I might have before but can't really remember....I certainly do grow tired of the "Rich Boy" talk too....I wish the scene of Victor tackling Matt Clark in the hospital morgue was still on here...one of the only times I rooted for Victor to kick somebody's ass...
  22. I know he was cast a few months after Shemar, I think..... 1994-1996 seem to be a strange time where Bell had to beef up the "younger" set of characters, which of course he did with Nick,Sharon,Amy,Matt etc....while sort of de-aging some of the more established younger characters, so I guess he cast Lazarre-White since at the time he fit into that "younger" age range.
  23. I always felt like his casting was more of a "fine whatever just dye his hair...." type of deal, which sucks since Nathan had been on the canvas for a good decade and this was the start of his character's downfall....
