  1. Jerry hated her, so did Marguerite Ray I think..... I would assume she got along with her original family, at least Julianna? I don't know if they had any beef. I can't see her getting along with JLB or any of the brooks sisters though she paid tribute to Victoria Mallory in her recent passing.... and of course according to Jeanne's book they had a rocky relationship at first which of course got better. Though Brenda was probably one of the only people ever to almost not get along with Jeanne.....
  2. He has spoken about him in his archive of American Television interview, but I think it was mostly on how he was just a very good actor etc...but I heard elsewhere they got along... The Brenda one is new, though that doesn't surprise me at all.....I always wondered what scenes with him and her would be like......she and MTS hated each other apparently which is why her Jill and Nikki rarely crossed paths.....
  3. Jerry Douglas stated that he also thought the Abbotts weren't as forefront once they got into the 90's....he said before that the Newmans seemed to take over as the core family.....which I guess they did but there was much better balance then now, were all the stories have to somehow involve the Newmans.....He's also made it clear that he still refers the "original" Abbotts with him and Deborah Adair as Jill (who was apparently one of his favorite's to work with) and Terry, Eileen and Beth....he's spoken fondly of those Abbott breakfasts they mostly did in the earlier days of the Abbotts.... What disappoints me is that I still think the Victor/Jack scenes would have been more even if Lester had stayed throughout the 90's......Jack could've gotten Jabot back in just a matter of months and not a whole decade with Bergman.....The only reason that Jack has lost so many times to Victor throughout Bergman's run I think is mostly due to the fact that Bergman can never play the type of Jack Bell wanted and because of that he just wrote him as Cliff 2.0......I think things would have been a lot different if Terry cared and decided to be a team player.......Braeden got along a lot better with him too....I still to this day wonder what really goes on between Bergman and Braeden whenever they are filming though the whole fight was nearly 23 years ago....
  4. Thanks for giving the last tape date for Lester! and yes it does seem more in character for Jack to just take off and the family later finding out and are stunned he just took off......This episode aired on a Friday and assuming Y&R was preempted the following week for tennis (Monday September 4 and Friday September 8,1989) there were only 3 shows the following week. The episode from September 7,1989 has been on youtube for a while and Jack isn't on that show, so we would have to wait for Tuesday September 5th or Wednesday September 6th 1989 to confirm if there was one more scene of Lester before he left.....This could stlll very well be his last episode though.... Lester really phoned it in those last months too, like he was playing some sort of game with Bell to dismiss him faster....The whole Jabot takeover isn't even depressing Jack as much as it severely depressed Bergman....it sort of makes you wonder if one of the reasons Bell came up with that story (besides needing Victor to get his revenge for Jack helping Leanna write "ruthless") was to try to get Lester something meaty to play so he could hopefully redeem himself, but obviously it backfired....
  5. Because he was replaced with John Silva and Jill moved on with John and Rex.
  6. It's def one of his last episodes, but i'm sure he made his last appearance the following week, since I don't think he would share his final scene talking to Brad (btw this turned out to be a very touching scene as though he hates him the reality has sunk in that he can't run Jabot without Jack.....) I could be wrong though....but I'd figured the last scene would be him saying goodbye to his whole family...
  7. Found this tonite.....aired exactly ONE year before I was born....haha. Audio is out of sync for first 20 minutes.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh-5sB4_YYw&list=UUiUAm6Eda8KFhb9qYtuPI2w&spfreload=10
  8. There might be, I'm not entirely certain..... does CBS/SONY still give a you know what if we post episodes or have they finally gotten the stick out of their butts??.....
  9. She's on the 5/14/93 episode where she calls Lauren to tell her that Eric married Sheila...I had that episode on my last channel and I will re-upload it soon..... boldrestless had an episode from 4/28/93 where Stephanie calls Lauren on that date too.
  10. 5/11/93 last new one for now https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=88DVmP8jdAU
  11. 5/10/93 (New) closing credits are missing
  12. here's 5/4/93 also new from me! I'm gonna give dailymotion a rest for a while.....for some reason it is just not letting me upload.....the page said it had reached 100% completion but didn't show up on the page......
  13. so sorry for it being so long but here is a new upload from me 5/3/93 on dailymotion....never been on here before. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x28ncnz_nina-books-the-bridal-suite-may-3-1993_fun
  14. Thanks....so it sounds like Nikki's marriage to Tony was a last minute thing....It's interesting how it all tied in with Alison as well.....I assume Paul and Nikki were still pretty close by this time, so it just always seemed strange that they couldn't fit more of her relationship with Tony in with Paul's story....I guess at the time Nikki was way too caught up with Katherine, Victor and the Bancrofts....then of course months before her wedding to Victor she was held captive by that Rick Darros fellow. That's when Paul and Victor rescued her..... It all seems like a lot but it seems that at least back then whatever male psychos were brought in to torment Nikki made sense story wise, unlike the terrible Ian stuff now...
  15. I know.....I really need to get back into uploading....don't know why it's been so long?? I'd actually rather see Jack pop in randomly for small scenes like the ones in these episodes compared to all the groaning and weeping over Victor we get eventually with Bergman's Jack.....Lester was finished at this point but still manages to make all of Jack's small scenes interesting and he doesn't seem all that upset about the Jabot takeover compared to Bergman.....it makes you think that Terry's Jack would have gotten the company back from Victor a lot less longer then the 10 years it took when Bergman took over....which later fell back into Victor's hands for a brief time after I think??
  16. Thanks days22!! I always look forward to your uploads! Lauralee really is selling this rape story .....I never really thought (minus all the airtime) her acting was that bad (though she isn't the strongest actress) but the work she did with this rape storyline was some of her best.....you do feel for her and not in a forced type of way.....I also have to say that Rebecca Street who plays Jessica is also doing a good job as she deals with what Cricket is going through.....Jessica always seems so sugary sweet so it's nice to see a tougher side.... When John told Jack about the rape, I swear you can almost see Terry about to roll his eyes.....You know he was just thinking "alright Bill, I know I said some choice words about you always putting your daughter front and center but seriously??.....must you include me in this little plot now??.....you can send me off anytime now..." Derek really is a slime, the way he just denies the rape even after he's arrested, though the fact that he thinks he did nothing wrong is really disturbing.....great scene when Chase pounded the crap out of him.....I sort of laughed at how Jack just stood there letting it happen....Bergman's Aunt Jack would have instantly pulled Chase off of Derek while repeating "this isn't worth it" etc........ Btw, found another episode from 1992 (I believe aired April 28,1992) don't think this was uploaded before either...
  17. She sort of reminds me of Mishael Morgan in that picture....it's sad looking at that photo knowing her time was running out
  18. Here's the episode again in case you didn't see it. )
  19. I have the full episode if you go back a few pages...
  20. Jeanne Cooper causing an all female brawl to happen in a scene from the 1962 movie "House of Women" along with Connie Ford.... guess we know how she was able to tolerate all those catfights with Jill...haha )
  21. She does sound bitter, but I can't argue that she's wrong......I know Y&R has a history of "strong" woman, but in some ways I always feel like men had to always rule out over the women as far as Bell was concern.....
  22. Check this out.....a very rare montage of scenes from 1982!......with the Y&R theme with lyrics....you can tell this is 1982 cause they have scenes of Leslie and Chris Brooks and other characters who shortly departed after...some I don't even know
