First time back in a week and...technical difficulties. Since that happened a LOT the week before BTG went on break...bad move, local CBS. Back to my GH binging I go until it is properly loaded on my system or the app then.

Same. I used to rewatch that scene so much it was sooooo good. As much as I still like seeing her, the haphazard writing this time around is just ridiculous. She is too watered down. I would have love to see a properly written attempt at redemption which I felt 2017 at least was going for...right down to retconning Phiela/Sarah. Right now, she just appears wherever the wind blows. Heck, given she just saved Steffy's life, I'm surprised she's not trying again to make in-roads with Finn while Steffy ain't there. Or will Steffy now give Sheila a chance? And what happens if she did, but the family had an issue? The potential is there. The best thing about this return for Sheila...was the wine bottle switch and even that was overkill. Oh, and any moment she has a catfight with Li. But I said before it would have been nice if Bill/Sheila had happened. In the background while other stories were going on. And what if Li was already closer to Bill. And we could have gotten a Sheila/Bill/Li triangle but when Bill/Li were having scenes and post-Finns-alive. Same. I'm still surprised that her and Lauren had had no run-ins even when Lauren has popped into town.

Especially right now. But I get what you mean. As much as I feel it's gone on too long...I believe it was starting when I quit regularly viewing and Erza first appeared...I do (did?) like the long-term planning of Drew letting his always-simmering rivalry with Jason be the throughline to go after Sonny/Jason through (mostly) legal means. Especially since it was touching on the fact that people who realistically shouldn't be (ie Laura, Anna) are always propping Sonny. A mobster. Who killed an FBI agent just a year ago. How? But that's me looking forward nuances when I know better. Perhaps Erza will take that up since Drew is done for now. But I feel it will vanish.

Honestly, I liked some of them. But I come from a different perspective on it. I think everyone who knows me know that for the most part I was an ABC soap kid with a side of Y&R. So I KNEW of Sheila. But I didn't KNOW Sheila. People talked about her as dangerous. And I didn't know what a baby switch was at the time. So on Y&R when they started that countdown 'Miss Me?' tv spot for Sheila's 2005 Y&R return with the lullaby music in the background...ooooo chills. It also helped that I love Lauren and knew some of her history, but the stuff with Scott was before my time so I was excited to see her son. The writers did such a good job setting up her tension over meeting him...but that was back when Y&R was still being realistic in their writing...so I cared. And that coda...which I think was end of the week...when Lauren goes to see her son and leaves. And the dramatic camera angle when Sheila walks into frame. Closeup and dramatic music and all. I was hooked. And as the story continued I continued to be with Sheila stalking around town in wigs and accents (before we got Silk Press Sheila on BTG hehe). Crazy, but not too silly as it seem the writers were also setting up interesting dynamics post-return with Tom Fisher (Mmmm...the actor, not the character). Now mind you, I thought the poisoned necklace was silly, but overall, I was hooked. However, I don't remember most of the ending due to school. I remember Michael/Lauren's wedding. The blow-up boat. L and S teaming up in the prison. And of course, the sinister coda of Sheila going to the plastic surgeon. I thought overall it was good. For B&B 2017...okay, it fizzled. lol. I'm just not sure if it is because of the writing or because of KB's real life going on at the time. But the set-up...who shot at Quinn? The ominous music. The creaking floor sound. The head turn. The dramatic music. Thankfully, that was not spoiled. And wasn't it a Friday cliffhanger, too...or just the Monday coda? In any case, it had me interested. And it was good to see her attempt redemption in a way that made sense (unlike how she is now...sorry, Sheila) and then having a Sheila/Eric/Quinn triangle, complete with catfights. It had been a minute since a soap had given one and they gave at least two. cherry on top was Sheila being the one to figure out the Ridge/Quinn emotional affair. And then after all that built up...it was done and she upped and vanished. Again...not sure if it was cuz of her real life outside of soap work. It just felt abrupt when there was still mileage for her. At the time at least. That Tom one I know I took personally since I officially became a regular Y&R fan (after decades of my mother loving it and the radio recaps on my way to school after being an idle fan) due to him and AB...the original Billy and Mac. One of my favorite (if not THE for me at the time) teen couples. I was a fan of the Corrs long before the prom episodes so their song 'Closer'...which was my favorite song off their first album...playing over Mac's makeover/arrival at the prom still has a very special place in my heart. My eyes are getting misty just typing that. It was such a time. Music. Production. The acting. They really captured that moment of the moment when someone sees you...truly sees you and knows they are in love. And that has always stayed with Teenage Me. So to have David Tom back...So I was in my feels. I was hoping to have Mac back, too, but we know how that ended.

Yeah, I also figured that she might be doing her summer break as well. Outside of Nick...NOPE. lol.

Speak on it. I just saw scenes of them a few days ago and it was so odd to not see their own history in play. Not that I need Drew obsessing over Liz. As much as I hate this show when it leads into the 'wacka wacka' humor, there been a few times when Drew has leaned into what power he has as a Congressman. His battling with Tracy over the Q crypt. The continuing (?) long-term story of how they are trying to use that amendment/law/proposal with Erza and Sidwell to take on Sonny/Jason is subtly blunt villain manipulation. Not to mention working to get Laura throw out as mayor due to her hero worship and character propping relationship with Sonny.

Exactly! If they were going to do this...which means another mystery/murder is coming...then why kill off Chance in the first place since he was filling that role. And then a legacy character, too? No, ma'am.

Awww. But to be fair...current GH goes at a snail's pace (and I don't mean slow burn) when it comes to creating couples. I'm lucky that there was not really a wacka wacka vibe to either one though there was attempts at humor. It would be nice if they did just one organically with organic drama rather than a gimmick. I still don't understand how Ric/Ava unravel so quickly.

And that's tea. Now we can see how much of Joey Armstrong was from the imagination of Guza.

Yeah. Almost like it was an in-joke to ZT being on DAYS as gay Sonny.

OC MIDSEASON TRAILER!!!

RHOM Finale is Sept. 25. So...17 episodes. Not bad. They flew by.

That's because we have been running-joking it for a while. Nice to see it finally happened.

You, Me, and @Soapsuds. There was no reason for that to not happen. AND refreshing story. In more ways than one.

I remember it well. A good time. And it felt like everyone was talking about it in mags and online. And we know I've lived for her during the 50th even if the plot was a bit silly. Exactly! I know we say this every other week, but it's so true how easily Brenda can slip right back onto the canvas oh so easily. Anything to save Sonny from that 'actress' and Deception from said 'actress' RL husband.

Who are we kidding? We know she is (or should be) THE topic. I think that's what I have loved in the scene I saw. Brenda was completely unbothered. Of course current day Carly has every right to feel inferior to her. And yeah, given how everyone treats Carly now on top of that. When she (or Robin) are around, that annoying side of Carly that I've never liked comes out. But at least it is REAL Carly. A double-edged sword for me. Hehe. Heck, Brenda would call her out on the marrying up if she was around. Same. A character that all soaps need. The villains don't all have to be inhuman in terms of their power nor just straight psycho. Hehe. I feel this. Especially in terms of Y&R.
