  1. Finally have time. And time means... ***THE BEST AND WORST OF 2020*** BEST SHOW: The Real Housewives of Potomac A sign of a great show is when fans react badly when the airdate is pushed back. Moreso when rumors began to emerge the previous year of a fight caught on film. And as it turned out...it was worth the wait. After a year of waiting, the ladies of Potomac returned with a season of fun, excitement, a bird, and yes, the aforementioned fight. It was a fight that split the group apart. And through it all, no episode (maybe one) was not wasted as we not only got to see the fight from every angle, but several subplots (La Dame's marriage, the engagement of Robyn and Juan, Ashley's man's latest drama) that used the ensemble in other ways. Not one person was a waste to the dynamic. And it all climaxed into an unforgettable set of reunion episodes that drove viewers' opinion right down the middle. With the leaving of Monique who was at the center of it all, and the unmasking of Gizelle as the villain of the story, it will be interesting to see where the ladies go from here when it's time for Season 6. And the world WILL be watching. MOST IMPROVED SHOW: The Real Housewives of New York New York has always been the show that was wild, crazy, fun, and full of boozes. However, it was usually tempered with storylines and events that kept it all moving...just like the friendships of the ladies on it. However, this past year that balance was lost at the start. Bethanny flew the coop. Tinsley appeared mildly isolated due to some unknown reason by Dorinda. LuAnn was on top of the world, but not drinking. And Leah was new and still needed time to jell with the other ladies. As a result, the start of the season fell all the way into boozy territory...and it eventually fell flat. HOWEVER...it turned a corner...without losing its wild crazy fun. Tinsley's leaving (and coming back for the reunion confident and fierce) allowed for the ladies to get to know Leah...and also realize that Dorinda had a problem. It also allowed for a brief feud between Ramona and her friend Elyse. Eventually, the truth was revealed...a hidden scene that revealed why Dorinda hated Tinsley and an intervention long overdue for Dorinda. And though all the seriousness, there was friendships, men, and no grudges. And next season looks to be interesting when diversity appears in the city that never sleeps. WORST SHOW: The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills When the Queen leaves...who gets the crown? The answer is ??? And what started as a season that was looking like the overdue takedown of wannabe Queen Bee Kyle instead turned into something else. Denise Richards came into the show and quickly became a fan favorite. So it was easy for Kyle and Rinna to set her up for a fall. Enter her 'friend' old cast member Brandi and a rumor that may it seem like Denise was lying. What followed was episode after episode after episode of lies, yelling, and attacks. The very definition of bullying. In the end, Denise left. And the show jumped the shark, making people wonder if it would ever get a glamour vibe ever again. Which brings us to... BEST ADDITION: Sutton and Garcelle, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills 'I thought you were kinda boring.' From the moment that Friend Sutton Stracke said that to some blond housewife with that Southern accent, the viewers knew they had a breath of fresh air. Sutton came into the show with one liners ('let the mouse go'), couture fashion, and WEALTH, something that has been sorely lacking since the exit of LVP. Then enter the scene resemblance of GOSSIP GIRL was Garcelle Beauvais, the first black woman to be on this branch of the franchise. She was ballsy, straightforward, and the kind of housewife this show has been needing. That they have slowly become the dream team on this show (along with a redeemed Dorit) is delicious. FUNNIEST MOMENT: T'Challa attacking Dr. Wendy, Potomac What started off as a fun feud (La Dame vs Monique's new pet...a parrot) led to light moments (and hilarious subtitles). But none of them were as funny as new housewife Dr. Wendy was being uppity and as if he sensed dark energy, T'Challa attacked her. Her scream and the aftermath (the one time Candiace looked funny with a plastic night, bunched up with Gizelle and Karen) is worth a rewatch. BEST EXIT: Tinsley, New York She might have started as the 'baby' of the group, but over several seasons, Tinsley Mortimer grew into being a housewife. Her goal: to find Mr. Right. And while she had ups and downs, in the end that was exactly what she found, leaving to be with her man in Chicago and happily engaged. And thanks to her new friendship with newbie Leah and her harassment by Dorinda, this baby had no choice...but to grow up. And when she destroyed Dorinda at the reunion with her bombshell around the reason Dorinda hated her (namely jealousy), she became a woman right before viewers' eyes. A happy one at that. Like a fairy tale, she was gone and lived happily ever after. WORST STORY: Snakegate, Real Housewives of Atlanta Given producers' love of rolling back footage when people are lying, we the viewers should have known what this story would fail when no footage of Cynthia saying anything foul about Nene surfaced. Add on to that it was who the viewers thought it was (what was her name again? See? Non-factor.). That the truth was Nene created a story to hurt another houswewife she considered her best friend soured people on her. That she continued to shoot herself in the foot (fighting Kenya and losing, attacking a good ally in Kandi and getting dragged, growing jealous of the popularity of Porsha, turned on the hand that fed her Andy Cohen) and people were really for Nene to go ByeBye. And...she did. And while people are still talking about her here and there, NO ONE is talking about this lame duck of a storyline. BEST STORY: The Unmasking of Gizelle, Potomac 'I have FOUR homes.' From the very beginning, Gizelle hated newcomer Monique Samuels. She was younger, prettier, devoted husband, and MONEY as evident by this above quote. And so began Gizelle's attempts to bring Monique down. Monique gave as good as she got. But it was not until this year that it came to a boil due to the fight between Monique and Candiace. Gizelle used it as an excuse to ice Monique out of the group. Monique used it as a time to heal herself...and get reciepts...arriving at the reunion with a binder full of nothing but the truth. And when she used the binder to reveal that Gizelle's whole storyline was a lie, it was MUST SEE TV!!!. After years of Gizelle attacking just about every cast member's marriage seeing her get her comeuppance was beautiful. And quite a lot of her potstirring was exposed as well, releasing the evil bitter woman within. Hopefully someday the unedited parts of her takedown will leak. After all Gizelle once told Monique that if she was going to aim, she better not miss. I would like to see the FULL effects of the bullseye she hit Gizelle with. Masterful story from Season 2 on up. And they say soap rivalries are dead. lol.
  2. Prefect day for it.
  3. You are late, Young Man!!! GET ON THAT!!!
  4. Okay...while I feel fine...and due to a lot of craziness this week with people around me and their masks or the full moon or something like they took a whole trolley away because someone had been on it and suspicions are they were infected, I decided to be better safe than sorry. I went and got tested.
  5. Now someone correct me if I'm wrong...but in light of RHOP's recent season...wasn't there a fight coming up on SLC that involves a choking?
  6. Good to hear. Keep us posted.
  7. Well considering who has stock in Moderna... *sips*
  8. Well to be fair...given this past week...I don't want to see Andy Cokehead's face AT ALL so I understand. And if I want to see Anderson Cooper's face (and bod) I can google.
  9. Well, it does take a few for sure. But for the shady ones among us...and he is talking about a nurse... Cameron on Twitter: "Privileged enough to Get a vaccine on Monday, in puerto Vallarta by Wednesday. Hey @tylerspelane I just wanna let you know that you’re trash but based on your profile having gone private I’m sure you already know that https://t.co/MXPC1FhQcL" / Twitter AW HELL NO!!! Does that count as murder? @Ponds congrats!

    Heheh. I figured.
  11. RHOD I'm happy to say that some time yesterday I started to get excited I'll be off tonight to see this (and RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE). Excited. I think we all know I disliked last season and being triggered but I was at least curious. So excited is a step up. Bring on Asian Kenya!! @Cat I'm steal the name LeeAndra. SLC After some decent few last episodes, this episode felt so much like the calm before the storm. The nature of Seth and Meredith's separation is a ticking time bomb that is right out of a soap opera. And as we know about soap secrets, the more people that are in the know, the more ways that it can come out. And someone is going to have egg on their way. And someone will be very, very angry. Speaking of angry...we were discussing 'where's Mary?' at yesterday. And it seem that yes, when the production company started, she was a FOH. Post-production the new production company (RHoNY's company) saw how much they liked her and she went to HW. So they edited her in and did solo pickup scenes so we would see her for the second half. Makes sense. They are used to the NY girls who are their own kinda of fun. JEN. Jealous ass. Here she is in her confessionals taking about how fake she feels Meredith is for acting like her and Seth aren't separated when they are in the jacuzzi...it's called putting on a stoic face. If you weren't so emotional and overdramatic you might be able to see that. But NO, it has to be about you. Will next week be the week when Meredith finds out how much of a 'friend' she is? Stay tuned... I will say it was nice to get a little more about the relationship between her and her husband. Interesting indeed. HEATHER. Her on the jets was hilarious. Also great that her again showing how much of a friend she is. The fact that it is clear that she feels Jen is in the wrong for saying anything, but said NOTHING when it's also clear that Jen told her everything (the separation, Meredith with another man). We had not seen her mention the other man to Heather so the scene when Whitney was probing her to see how much she knows and she knows EVERYTHING was a juicy scene for me. And she's right. It's none of their business and they should leave it alone. Sad she is going to be in the middle next week when it's Whitney vs Jen. WHITNEY. So, so much more than she seems. And that has nothing to do with a blind item I saw last week. Her talk with her father (with her husband as backup) was intense. I hope he does not backslide, but her worry of that and how much she has to do tough love was rough. I shook my head given what she said last week...that he has done this before. And she was so hoping this time would be the time when he got his life together. Alas... Meanwhile, she is so going to be a target with her not liking that Jen is running around running her mouth about Meredith's other man and looks like she will be defending Mary next week. I guess we see what her tagline is REALLY about. MEREDITH. I know this is shallow, but I loved her Denise Richards's ponytail in the jacuzzi. She was looking flawlessly beautiful. But maybe that is the point. This episode it was like she was the Serena to Jen's Blair Waldorf. And we know Blair was mildly jealous because Serena was the beautiful one, the one who got everything, the one who no one saw any wrong. And that burned her. So it burns Jen. However, what she seems to be doing is figuring it out...and Jen should give her time to figure out her new normal. But...alas. LISA. It was nice to see more of her husband...all of the husbands in fact. Not sure if there is potential for conflict there. Sometimes her Type A personality seems to really annoy him. And it's clear he loves her. Time will tell. I also liked the talk about the very subculture within the Mormon religion. MARY. Was in it for a moment. Can't wait to see next week. After they came to a truce, Jen should have known not inviting her would lead to them feuding again. So...calm before the storm episode, but a good one.
  12. Oh no. I hope all is well and it's not that at all.
  13. I am so going to miss her.
  14. This is just crazy. And California is stay at home for another 3 weeks. Not surprising.
  15. RHOA OOPS!!!
  16. Taoboi replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
And that's how you wear some boxers. Yum...
  17. Well, I see people are already getting their 600s.
  18. Not yet. I'm middle of Episode 8. Still busy with my December work schedule so hopefully some time between now and Sunday.
  19. OMG yes enjoy. I am just now passing the first hour mark (it's two hours; listening around my work schedule) and it's been an hour well spent. Monique has been spilling a lot. Just a few things... SHADES OF NENE. Someone pulled a Nene on Monique a la Nene's last reunion...except instead of the wrong clothes to paint a narrative, they sent Monique to the wrong hotel. And if she had not called Karen for a kiki before the reunion the day before they filmed it, Monique would have never known. THE BINDER Monique used it more than we saw on the reunion. So much so that yes, Ms. Andy really, really wants it. She's debating it and if she does, she will be making copies of all the receipts within it. OH...SHE DID HAVE A MELTDOWN, DID SHE? So...the Samuels really truly did go scorched earth on Gizelle's ass. We...just didn't see ALL OF IT. Monique dragging Gizelle in Part 1? Went on longer than 5 minutes. Think 20 and she WENT ALL THE WAY IN to the point that Andy had to run interference. Or as I call such reads the Claudia Jordan Special. She got it all off her chest. So Gizelle's meltdown was during that whole 'why is that mfer here.' Why? It turned out that Chris had gone around apologizing to all the ladies after the LIVE he and Monique did because he felt so guilty for getting so heated and made the Bruce Jenner comment. He called Candiace's Chris and apologized. He called Juan and Robyn and apologized. He told them that he asked them to say he apologized to Gizelle. He even saw Charisse at a grocery store and apologized to her, too. And he brought all of this up AT THE REUNION. And when he mentioned it and Chris and Robyn verified it. Once he got to Gizelle, she lost it. And that brings us to his verbal takedown of her at the end. Well...there was MORE to that too. He GATHERED...HER...ALL...THE...WAY...TOGETHER. He said called her out on her potstirring, referencing how she tried to destroy Ashley's marriage, Karen's marriage, AND his marriage....THEN he said those epic words we heard on the reunion. No wonder she had that face. CANDIACE'S LIVE... ...is in the producers' hands. Monique sent it to them a loooooong while ago once fans of her sent it to her. Long before the reunion. THEY KNEW. MORE SHADES OF NENE Monique did film her whole journey post-fight. We just never saw it. And like Nene near the end of her last season, she was not at all paid for those absences on screen though she did film. That's just the tea off the top of my head. Oh really??? I knew that something had happened in passing. I had thought that originally Mary was just supporting, but someone saw something (the kookiness) in her so they filmed her more. I remembered there was a debate if they would make her a HW. She apparently filmed so much like one. but I never knew all this tea or that she never really became full time until muuuuuuch later. WOW. Perhaps they stopped filming her because the show was suppose to be about Jen. But they saw how much of a little scene stealer Mary is. Or perhaps given what is coming with Whitney, they felt Whitney needed someone in her corner who is not afraid of Jen. I've always said so far that the friend duo groups appear to be Meredith/Lisa, Jen/Heather, Whitney/Mary so if Jen tries to go after Whitney (and Heather lets her which I doubt), that Whitney will need someone who has her back. Mary so far has proven to do that. And Whitney her.
  20. POTOMAC Wow. I'm still listening to this interview from Monique. And it's just so shocking the tea she is spilling from the last part of the reunion. Gizelle was run all the way down. I wouldn't mind those hidden scenes.
  21. Well, I look forward to your opinions on it since I loathed how last season went down. That said...I loved Asian Kenya, Ashley Abbot's (though she didn't sound all right then), and Kameron. I'll give credit where it's due...I loved Stephanie's, too. Meh on Brandi's. And Kary is a non factor for me. Speaking of taglines, I bet the UK Jersey girls might surprise. It has the air of the other foreign franchises and what the ones here used to do...glamour. RHOD I almost forgot...the 1st episode is going to air as a preview episode THIS Thursday though the premiere is STILL January 5. ETA:
  22. Yep. She did an interview with AATT confirming that and spilling tea. That said... Well...we have other shows to discuss...
  23. The tea that is being spilled in this AATT interview. THEY...KNEW.
