I feel you @marceline. Usually I feel some kinda way about this time of the year. But this year especially with how co-vid has hit my family I would give anything to be able to go home and my mother. And I know this year that not being able to go and missing her is hurting.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC Let me get this out of the way first... Whitney's Speakeasy Party was EVERYTHING!!! The drinks. The dress. Speakeasy always had some entertainment usually a band and/or singer so her centering it all around the stripper pole with dancers, strippers, and people body bending seems soooo Whitney. I loved all of it and found it fascinating. I loved all of it. But I think that is my history buff/SLIDERS fan/writer showing. lol. And I am loving the setting setup scenes. It is making me want to travel. It is just fascinating to see these cities among the snowing mountains. It also makes me think of Denver...which has been on my mind lately. Great third episode. I feel like everyone is bringing something. For better...or for worse. JEN. Baby, no. But FIRST...the good. I had heard about the Jen Squad for a while now. So to see them was cool. ERIKA JAYNE COULD NEVER!!!! I liked her group. And that Speakeasy dress (and professional train carrier) was EVERYTHING. Oh my God, it was so beautiful and detailed. And SHE WAS RESPECTFUL at Meredith's. Meredith's now-irrelevant son to me was just looking for a moment. NO, KEVIN...DON'T WITH THAT MESS. His jealousy of the awesomeness of Jen was showing. He can go have several seats. That of course leads to the bad. Team Mary. When your best friend (which from what I can tell is HEATHER, NOT MEREDITH) isn't having your side, you might want to look at yourself. Your best friend might not be wrong. As for the Meredith drama, I just could not believe it. And then the cliffhanger (and PS next week's episode's first 5 minutes that is already out ) she was doing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. HEATHER. Honestly? After next week (if you see the clip for next week you will see why. ), I think Heather is going to be my favorite. Part of it is her relatability. She has been nothing but that. But there is always a little some more going on with her when you watch her. And I like that. I think like what others have said...it's that struggle between how she was raised and her living in her truth at the same time. This week it was great to see her do something for her workers. It's great her cousin in on the show. MARY. The plot thickens. This episode showed a lot more of her family life. And I couldn't help but wonder 'where is her mom?' I feel that is the piece that is missing on her. And then we saw the church...and WHOA. It seem real to me. And if it isn't I do feel sorry for Whitney's Dad. But...he looked like he believed. And Mary seems real. WHITNEY. So more than meets the eye with her. Watching her set up the Speakeasy party. She did the research to know there is this secret room (that hopefully did not get in trouble for filming that). She got the entertainment. And she still supported her cousin AND her father. And her and Mary seem to be close friends like Heather and Jen seem to be close. Love her vibe at the Speakeasy party, she seem like a great host. MEREDITH. I didn't like her son starting mess when there was no reason to do so other than he wanted to be 'important.' Yeeeeah whatever ho. I also liked she is not letting anyone tell her what to do. LISA. Pretty irrelvant this episode. Ooops. And seeing the preview clip of next week, it's going to be crazy... RHOA AWWW look at that Portal commerical with Kandi, Mama Joyce, and Ace. She stays making that coin.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC Hahaha!!! I see the producers must have lunched with the producers at POTOMAC and SLC at some point. Why? Because they were being fun shady and it dropping receipts on folks and I had to be sure at times if I was watching OC or some other HW show. Last week, I thought it felt like the OC again. And this week was more of the same for me. It was pretty good and I laughed quite a lot. Sober. Wow. And I have to admit that Braunwyn's vow renewal was pretty good. Other than the lice. And seeing her with Sean next week being annoying which I think for me will be the first time I will be finding her annoying this year. And I was pleasant surprised that the promo from last week where I thought the ladies were ganging up on Elizabeth for having Braunwyn's back was more about Elizabeth's relationship with her ex-husband and Jimmy. Oops...? That said...I think I am going to echo what someone said on Twitter. And OC is really going to be the test run for it. Thanks to Co-Vid, how the HW shows film is going to be of course changed. Group gatherings which has been the bread and butter of the HW shows forever have to change. And I am sure we all have reports from NY, RHOA, and now BH of how it has been going. BH will definitely be interesting given how little those hoes show of their life. Now...THEY HAVE TO. So OC as it used to be is ahead of the curve by focusing on the personal stories again and their family lives again. Solo versus groups. And I think it's now working for them. It is making the group scenes hilarious and good. SHANNON. Now, Shannon, GUUUUURL!!! LOL!!! You know good and well you were getting Braunwyn back for 'Lemonade Boy' when she was slurring in front of Braunwyn's son. I didn't find him rude at all, just standing there and humoring Shannon. His reaction to his siblings...who wouldn't? That girl was DRUUUUUUUUUUUUK. It was hilarious. The only thing I've been Team Kelly all season with that 'bitca, get some water.' SAME, KELLY. SAME. And Shannon was the comic relief all through the renewal with her bout with Kelly over the water tenture, her bout with Kelly on the dance floor, her with Braunwyn's kids, her as her man was trying to get her to eat later on. Shannon stayed ridiculous. KELLY. Surprisingly unbothered by her unbotheredness. She was level-headed with Shannon after coming off last week as being messy. And she was funny for her pushing Elizabeth in the pool. EMILY. Meanwhile, still being messy. And I feel that is going to come back and bite her on the butt. If Gina is moving past her drama with Braunwyn, why are you STILL bring it up? Then I think she felt threatened at the possibility that Gina and Braunwyn might get close since Gina continued to go to meeting with Braunwyn. I cannot with her. GINA. Good to see she is trying to mend that fence with Braunwyn. ELIZABETH. OOoooo...Vicki 2.0 has layers. And great fashion sense (I too loved the Indiana Jones hat). And not to mention some hint of a story between her and her ex-husband and Jimmy. Seems like she still has feelings for him and she was sorry to see it end especially since she sacrificed a lot of who she was to make him happy. And then he got some other girl preggers? Oooo...childe. I now could see how confusing it was to the girls. It's confusing to me. I would pick on her for the Co-Vid comment, but it's not like she knew how bad it would get after 60 days. BRAUNWYN. The episode was around her. And yet...she was not very present to me. The vow renewal. The AA meeting. Being with the girls. She was nicely background. I do hope she's able to work things out with her mother. It is just something Mom will have to get used to. And don't most parents do that? Overall, a good episode.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
POTOMAC Sounds like the reunion first look is dropping next week. Still sounds like Gizelle might be getting her well deserved comeuppance. Candiace just bought her first house. Isn't that usually a sign of a HW leaving. BH So with RHOA and NY, now on showdown since a crew member got Co-Vid. DALLAS Any second now on that trailer....so tomorrow or next week as well.

Thank you both for the detailed reviews. I might see if it's on my system or not (I think not) and check it out. Or my brother (who is an uberSBTB fan like his brother) probably already has it ready as a Xmas present.

Lovecraft Country
WOW. I finally finished the first episode and that was a good pilot. I love this trio of the uncle, the vet, and the vixen. She's easily my favorite, but I have a soft spot for the uncle and was scared there for a moment. I jumped a few times. And that sundown town is so true since there are STILL towns like that in the South to this day. And how it ended? Deliciously creepy. I'm onward to Episode 2.

The Politics Thread
Yep. Pretty much. It should not have to be this much of a struggle for a transfer of power period. And like @Khan said, while I am hoping for the best, I am preparing for the worse, bracing for him to lash out once the last of his lame attempts to get the election overturned fails.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Well, well, well...sounds like someone (s) gave Gizelle hell at the reunion and she lost it in the last 3 hours of filming it after being in the hot seat the other 5 according to her on her show with Porsha.

I think it has more to do with me like the conqueror dress Karen is wearing. I hope it looks great on camera. Unless Kathy truly intends to give Ex Soap Star the takedown she deserves, I will definitely be missing the looks Dorit keep giving. Le sigh.

Hahaha. About time. Congrats, @Fevuh. And as for dragging The Orange One out of the WH, I think quite a few people at this point would not mind it, and have memes and gifs ready...well the ones not already created. Heck, he will be lucky to make it off the stage without Security snatching him up for one of his many crimes at the rate he's going.

Oh, yeah...I've been surprised at how big Ashley is for this pregnancy versus Dean. And it's another boy, too. lol. Good for her. Wow. That was fast. I like that seating chart better. Makes one wonder if Robyn changed her mind. I think that's Gizelle with Candiace and Wendy.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOD Hm. Bravo apparently has pushed back the trailer due to 'not enough hype' around it supposingly. Which really means this is going to be another promo mess like that one time with RHOA and NJ was it. NJ came out one week and RHOA promo almost got pushed until fans got livid and then it got released. Or the recent RHOA promo that almost got pushed. What is up with Bravo? The juicy thing with this news...it looked like Bravo didn't tell the majority of their online sources so someone DID drop it (tweet has been deleted since then) and it looks like the fifth season was going to start on New Year's Eve? Really?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
See the ganging up on Karen, it gave me shades of 'LVP and Kyle' and how she always kept being mad at Kyle cuz while LVP usually had Kyle's back, Kyle never took the opportunity when someone attacked LVP to have her back. Karen could easily had dropped the bombshell on those girls, but she was showing her loyalty to Candiace as a friend by not doing so, hoping that Candiace just might do it herself. Candiace didn't. I found that sadly telling. I am wondering when or if the Gizelle push is going to come into play. There's a reason that so many online people have pointed it out. Only the Eagle-Eyeds mentioned the vest grab and at the time, people did not believe them. NOW that Candiace 'confessed' I do wonder how that will fall. More reason for next week to get here cuz I want to see what La Dame plans to do with that information. I know...so soapy. lol. Honestly, I feel like the Gizelle push will not come up until the reunion. If it does come up before...I will be surprised. But I know there was rumors about unseen footage from the fight so I also wonder when that will come into play. The fight might be draining, but the fact that new angles have continued to come out around it has been refreshing. BH, take note. TBF, I do believe La Dame knows everything. She was the one to warn Monique of the dinner and that was because Candiace ran to her if I remember correctly for advice. ETA: One thing that I have loved about the Portugal trip (besides the scenery porn and men) has been seeing how far the Ashley/Karen dynamic has come. You are right. It has been one of the best. Or like I said before a more mature version of their Season 1 relationship which I saw the marathon on Bravo.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
POTOMAC Well...since I'm up...lol. I might have been meh about last week, but that was not the case this week. Especially that last five minutes. As the last international trip for any Housewives pre-Covid, it was much needed right now. And I liked that even with the drama and messy, we got a lot to see. Those rocks. That ocean. The race in the cars...I hollered at the Ashley Cam!!! It was nice to see them HAVE fun. Production might have paid for the trip, but if it was Ashley's idea for all the events...I wouldn't mind travelling with Ashley. She plans well. Speaking of Ashley, we knew it was coming. We knew she would have to tell Candiace the truth about her writing the statement for Monique. Was it for revenge? Hmmm...funnily enough I would say no. She was reluctant to be mend fences with Candiace at the start of the season and already expressed then why she was. It was not until Candiace took some accountability and apologized the right way that Ashley gave her a chance. So I sincerely believed she did it because Monique is her closer friend and had a lot to lose vs Candiace. No brainer. But it was the end for me. All this yelling. All of these folded napkins to the corner of her eye. All of those darn post-it notes. All of that and her playing the victim to the hilt. And all of it? AN ACT. La Dame gave us the tea and the producers backed it up by showing the statement that Candiace WROTE where she admitted to throwing...my bad 'releasing' the wine. Eagle eyes will see the sentence above that where Candiace wrote she grabbed Monique's vest that night. But...everyone continue to pick on Monique for not owning her side of things when she has. But Candiace definitely has not to the group, choosing to play victim when she in her own words are anything but. And she wonders why Monique got the invite next week. Hm. ASHLEY. You come a long way, girl. And as was pointed out to her last week, she was a pot stirrer. But this whole fight and season is showing that while that part of her is still in there, it has been softened, giving way to motherhood. She did what she thought was right. And OWNED it. I did not like that the other girls wanted to make it about 'assassinating' Candiace's character. Uh...NO. She was asked to give a character study on someone who has a history of having a violent temper, a mouth, and how said someone used both on her. Speaking from personal experience. It is not Ashley's fault there are receipts to back it up. As a mother, she understood especially now what Monique could lose by going to jail. She did the right thing. GIZELLE. I can not begin to tell you how many times I said SHUT UP, GIZELLE last night. Seriously, bitter, bitter, bitter. Rather than focus on her life, she is too busy trying to mess up others. I did not like how she was winding up Candiace against Karen. I don't even know why when Candiace has proven she cannot be controlled. Gizelle is going to cause another mess. ROBYN. Suuuuure likes to be dragged by La Dame. I was DEAD at 'you dressed like a whore on a street corner, but I didn't say it.' You are outmatched and need to focus on the IRS. WENDY. Should I just call you Teddi and call it a day, I mean really? CANDIACE. So all this time. All this time. She had been talking about anxiety pills...but wait...aren't you drinking? And is that not a no-no? Saying that, I couldn't help but wonder...(c)Carrie Bradshaw was anything real about Candiace? Or was it just an act to show to the court against Monique? If one has to question if anything about one was real, then probably nothing was. From the napkins to the mirror notes to saying how you are traumatized when you are grabbing vests...AND WRITING ABOUT IT IN A LEGAL DOCUMENT? From where I sat, La Dame just blew her out of the water...and she does not even know it. Yet. What made it sad...was she could have stopped all of this earlier. How? Owning her part. Maybe talking it out with Monique. Apparently Dr. Wendy and the Green Eyed Bandits would have her back. NOW? They might see her (okay not Wendy) would see her as a loose cannon and cut her loose before the new season starts filming in January/February allegedly. KAREN. I saved the best for last. La Dame was on fire last night. We got to see her look great and getting along with Ray. We saw her having fun. And she was unbothered at these bandits coming from her, getting them together with ease, and that was when she gave them any attention at all. But the coup d'etat was the reveal. Oooooh that reveal. Last night revealed how much La Dame had Candiace back this whole time. We the audience knew she was being neutral supporting Monique. But people were thinking she was not supporting Candiace even though she checked with her as well. But wait!!! As she sat back while Candiace went on her victim tour what no one knew was that she had an IMPORTANT piece of information. An important piece of information that could change everything or expose a few people most importantly Candiace herself. But does La Dame use it? No. Why? More than likely because Candiace is her friend and she was trusting her friend would evenly do the right thing and take some accountability for her own part in the fight. La Dame even sat back for weeks and let herself be attacked by said friend as well as the other girls knowing she knew what was in that statement. And what does the friend she covered for do? Own it? NO. Candiace has done NOTHING. Which shows the other part of the reveal...the girls don't know, but the AUDIENCE now does. And that brings us to the second part of the reveal...we see you. We see Candiace for who she is. and that...is far from innocent. But what does one expect, but comeuppance when one decides to come for the Queen... And that promo next week...well...this episode lit the match...and now the stage was set...for Monique to return...hmmm...is it chess we are playing...?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
How funny. I was about to slowly turn in and realized that I've been so busy today with me feeling my holiday schedule and saw the post. And I realized that Ashley wasn't on the age list, and I was shocked by two things: 1) Ashley is STILL the youngest. 2)Ashley and I SHARE THE SAME BIRTHDAY. WOW. THAT explains so much. Hehe. Yes, POTOMAC does bring out a lot of insightful posts. And given how that scene went down last night. And the tea that the audience knows, but Candiace, Gizelle, Robyn, and Wendy do not...very clever, what a twist, and it was like the producers went out of their way to expose ALL OF THEM. It just made me think of your comments at the Sig and See when Karen just sat back and observe, but there was so much going on in her looks. Given last night's look and her dropping that tea on the audience, I wanted your take on La Dame for sure. I want to say the fact that Karen had this knowledge, but did not tell them is the reason she invited Monique to the Wig party next week. Could it be La Dame even reveal what she knows then, exposing Candiace? Things to make you go hmmmm...?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
POTOMAC WOW. Rewatching (since my tv went out) but looked at an edit copy on YT. But I cannot contain my reaction to that last 5 minutes and I definitely want @Cat's opinion on it because just like the scene at Wendy's Sip and See there was a LOT of nuances and things going on and revelations to me. And that blew me away and I actually have to think. BUT I say this much...Karen showed for real how much of a friend she has been for Candiace. And Candiace truly showed who she is. 'Hanging Self Out to Dry' comes to mind. And next week can't get here soon enough.

@Soaplovers she hasn't. @NothinButAttitude And Monique's attorney knows how to shade, too. I still giggle just thinking of his statement when the trial was over and how he dragged Candiace for flith.

Haven't gotten my cd yet. But listening to the album anyway. lol. Favorites (so far): Magic (of course) Miss a Thing (that sample) Supernova Real Groove Spotlight Last Chance (just heard it today and I know it will be on repeat) Celebrate You Growers (don't dislike them and knowing me it just takes a moment for me to fall in love with it) Say Something Unstoppable Monday Blues (vibing to it actually) I Love It (same as MB) Dance Floor Darling (I don't know why, great beat...but hasn't hooked me yet) Meh Where Does the DJ Go (funny that is here since I'm such a dj ho...lol) Regardless of how that looks above, the album itself has such a great vibe and flow to it. If I didn't need to focus a bit today, I would be up dancing. lol. So easily one of her favorites for me.

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
Seriously. Worse because it turned out he did not want them AT ALL which was the point of asking in the first place aka I was right to ask. He wanted to cause a stink because he had to wear a mask. We have many boards that explain what comes on everything, but no one reads them and then wants to complain because they did not know something when it is literally in front of them OR I ask because I have experience with people not knowing what comes on what they order yet they order it. I mean...*shrugs* I cannot begin to tell you how many people I have to tell to put on their mask when there is a sign on the door and they had time to either do it before they walked in or worse was waiting in a long line. Here we are in the purple...there is now a curfew...and more than likely going to be on a lockdown...and people STILL do not want to wear a mask. It is maddening without inner work drama for sure. And I see Huntington Beach (aka the OC) is at it again protesting stay at home orders when if they had worn mask we would not be here with our Governor about to put us back in Lockdown. Idiots.
