Someone joked that in Staten Island, that's called being nice, lol.

Seriously though, people forget that S.I. is a part of NYC and given the enormous losses that NYC suffered, it is likely that most of the people in that supermarket probably knows someone who got sick or died from COVID-19. Emotions are likely running quite high.

They most certainly know someone who died or got sick from the coronavirus.  Compare them with these Trump supporters from Alabama.

So yet again a handful of states dominated by people that hate everyone (themselves most of all) will end up deciding whether this country has any chance left. I'm so tired of this. It just feels pointless.

302 people in 15 battleground states were polled.

I think I detest Mitch McConnell, even more than 45.  It's a close call, I suppose I have enough hate for both of them. Just had to get that off my chest.

That's a hard one for me. McConnell was corrupt before Trump took office but Trump was going to be Trump no matter what.

Disgusting, and not surprising. Yet many still insist he is going to outflank the left.

I told a cousin of mine a few months back that Social Security as we know it won't exist within 15-20 years because the GOP is going to privatize or get rid of it altogether.

The saddest and/or most anger inducing part of all this is that the only reason these people are demanding to go back to work is because it's the opposite of what the democrats are proposing. Had the dems suggested opening things up, they'd be complaining about how that policy will cost lives.

  6. Ever since Trump bragged about his ratings, I have just watched soundbites from other sources. Someone else another forum said by watching the pressers, he saw why Trump had his share of failures as a CEO.  Trump loves to hear himself talk, has to be the smartest person in the room at all times, can only take credit for the positives and refuses to acknowledge what he did wrong and blames everybody but himself.

What a shocker. Bernie's campaign pandering for this ugly racist was one of its death knells.

Why is this trending number one on Twitter??! Rogan is one on those [!@#$%^&*] perpetual frat boy types who will always support Trump because he's their father figure- God-King.

Fox Business announced Friday that the cable news network "parted ways" with anchor Trish Regan, after she called the novel coronavirus a "scam" on-air March 9.

The big picture: Conservative commentators, including syndicated radio personality Rush Limbaugh and Fox News' Sean Hannity, have come under fire for minimizing the threat of COVID-19. "For two crucial weeks in late February and early March, powerful Fox hosts talked about the “real” story of the coronavirus: It was a Democratic- and media-led plot against President Donald J. Trump," The New York Times writes.

    • Meanwhile, Lachlan Murdoch, CEO of Fox Corporation, was focused on the $440 million acquisition of streaming company Tubi. He failed to "to pry its most important voices away from their embrace of the president’s early line: that the virus was not a big threat in the United States," per the Times.

Now, the network's leadership is trying to reel its hosts in to mitigate the spread of misinformation.

"The decision by Fox Business to remove Ms. Regan’s show took some journalists and anchors at the network by surprise: Fox executives are accustomed to withstanding public pressure, and rarely make personnel moves that can be construed as validating criticisms of the network," the Times wrote.

Context: Regan's show "Trish Regan Primetime" aired during Fox Business' 8 p.m. hour through March 13. The network initially said the show was on hiatus because of "the demands of the evolving pandemic crisis coverage," The Wall Street Journal writes.

    What they're saying:

    • Fox Business, per a statement: “FOX Business has parted ways with Trish Regan - we thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors. We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”
    • Regan released a statement via the network saying, “I have enjoyed my time at FOX and now intend to focus on my family during these troubled times. I am grateful to my incredible team at FOX Business and for the many opportunities the network has provided me. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career.”

What to watch: Fox Business replaced Regan’s time slot with general-interest programming.

The first and last time I will agree with Liz Cheney.

James Woods and other right wing trolls are still downplaying the Coronavirus pandemic and Trump has been dog whistling it as mostly a blue state issue.

The Republicans won't like that news coming out of Dallas and not because of people being having  the coronavirus but because Trump has been dogwhistling  the Corona as a blue state issue.

Here in North Carolina, Governor Roy Cooper has issued an executive order that started 5:00 pm this evening, prohibiting all bars and restaurants from having dine in customers. There's only going to delivery and takeout for now. Plus he expanded unemployment benefits. Of course the Right on social media referred to him a tyrant (like they would have done Obama or Democratic president  if they were in charge) and accused him of infringing on their 1st amendment rights and hurting businesses.

  11. ^Trump flies by the seat of his pants with his decisions anyway and everything he does is just to make it to the day.

Those Gen Z and Millennial social influencers who were make fun about all of the cheap flights that they are able to take may have a few less places to take their trips.

Why would he not say that? Those are many of his biggest supporters - you'd think he wouldn't want them to die.

I know you're probably being sarcastice but Trump doesn't give rat's ass if people die. He couldn't care less. He is concerned with one thing and one thing only: How he is viewed by his base. His ego is so large he thinks of this only in terms of how it will affect his popularity. He has no care for the human element in this. This is why he only speaks about this in terms of the Dow, because his entire presidency hinges on people believing he has created this mega-economy.

Who needs the Secret Service when you have...your wife?

But seriously.  Jill Biden was taking a TREMENDOUS risk to protect her husband like she did.  I hope she's okay.

I have no problems with Gen X coming through for Biden. It's just amazing to see the Bernie Bros lash out the way  they are doing.

Biden has taken the lead in Texas.

Okay, number one, who are these people; and number two, when will the cleaners have their white hoods and robes ready to be picked up?

And, you know, Biden wasn't wrong in telling millennials to "work harder."  You can't have everything in life handed to you on silver platters, kids.  That just isn't the way the world works.

They must've gotten lost in the parking lots.  ;)

Well, there are white conservatives who pretend to be black and they infiltrate tdhe political threads in black forums like the coli and Lipstick Alley.  There are some who are black and they do resent older black voters for being part of the "establishment"  I will beat there will be numerous threads on both of these forums tomorrow talking about how low energy, old, and senile Biden is to them.

Another forum I'm a member of is also giving to Gen X credit for Biden's Super Tuesday results.

"Speaking as a Gen Xer. We just want to friggin beat Trump and gain seats in the house and senate.

Gen X = always gonna be practical"
