I didn't watch the debate last night. Mike Pence makes my teeth itch so I avoid him at all costs. But looking at my social media it looks like the entire Republican party is in a complete pants-shitting freakout. Part of me enjoys it obviously but it just brings home how exhausting this all is.

It is? The conservative talking heads on social media claimed that Pence won the debate last night. I watched the debate and all Pence did was constantly bring up tax cuts and Trump's economy. I was glad when Kamala said that all Trump did was ride the coattails of Obama's economy.

  2. The beltway and some feminists favorite former Fox News personality and I see she hasn't changed her stripes. Trump said she was on her period when moderated him and she still gets on her knees (figuratively) for Pence and Trump.

This has also made the debate and the tax stories go into the rearview mirror, and they will continue to speed toward ACB's confirmation along with trying to hype Pence in the debate. They will set the terms, and the media will follow. And we will hear, over and over, how strong Trump is and how anyone who questions or wants to pause is weak and doesn't want America to be strong.

I am just hoping enough voters will not buy this and that the media has lost enough trust with people to where they will tune the talking points out.

Yet the base’s response mirrors the way Trump has instructed his followers to react to any pandemic-related news: downplay, craft optimistic storylines and accuse the Democrats and media of obfuscation and vitriol. It’s how the president has reacted to nearly every unwelcome pandemic-related development in recent months, whether it was early concerns over personal protective equipment and hospital space, or a death toll that recently surpassed 200,000.

“He works 20 hours a day. I think he’ll be tough,” said Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow and a Trump surrogate flirting with the Minnesota governorship, in an interview. “He's a fighter. It'll be tough to keep him down.”

Both sides, both sides, both sides, both sides. Gayle King and other out of touch elites will kill us all, with smiles on their faces, because it keeps them well paid. And sadly, many eat that up like nothing else. I can't think of a thing she or Chris Wallace have ever given to this country.

As long Trump has those elites paying no federal taxes, they will shill for him. The majority of the time I hear about her is when she's attacking black men. Chris Wallace is filled with such daddy issues, he would've made perfect Law & Order CI antagonist.

Gayle King doing her part of defending Trump by being upset at Speaker Pelosi choice of words in describing Trump's supporters. Out of all of the things in the America that has been going and has been said on she chooses that to call out a government official out on. I see that Chris Wallace will be the moderator of that dog and pony show of a debate. I always wondered who he became is due to the fact no matter what he did, he was never going to be his father's favorite son.

The debates are meaningless. They're a shitpile. The only reason they are important is because of a lazy, hack-filled media who want a circus. They hate us and they hate this country and they will do anything to give Trump his win. Expect huge, nonstop spin for Trump in these. And if he doesn't do well, Trump and the GOP already have their talking point - they will say Biden was using a teleprompter or had answers in an earpiece.

    Speaking of shitpiles:

The debates are going to be just like the conventions were with Biden having to nothing to gain and Trump having nothing to lose and everything to gain. The media has ignored Trump shaking and slurring words on stage but they won't if Biden even slips up a little bit.

  8. I see that Georgia governor Brian KKKemp is doing his part in aiding Trump in voter suppression. The University of Georgia is allowing tailgating and fans to attend football games at a limited capacity but there's going to be no early voting on campus due to COVID-19 concerns.

  9. I don't even keep up with polls anymore because the poll are going to reflect  whatever people want them to be. what t I believe Biden will win the popular vote and most people will  cast their vote for him in the Electoral College but all Trump cares about is who will have the most votes that will actual count or be valid in the Electoral College.

I will bet half of my next paycheck that Trump will get a bump though. If Biden wins with the deck that is stacked against him by the media, the numerous voter suppression tactics, it will be a great achievement.

That was that piece of [!@#$%^&*] George Will, right? Washington Post has a history of this - they propped up the awful David Broder for years too. Why people praise that paper as liberal I don't know.

    In other news:

It wasn't George Will but it some others that I never heard of. Articles about the dormant Trump vote, how crude but effective Trump's speech was, and attacking the Never Trumpers on race.

  12. @DRW50  The Washington Post has already began posting their op-eds about Biden and Harris needing to court and listen to grievances of the Trump's angry white male base.  I'm not posting them because I'm not paying a $1 to remove the paywall to read the whole article.

Thanks for answering!  The mask thing is just so foolish.

That's their way of owning the Libs by gathering in public events by not wearing masks and not social distancing and they wear it with a badge of honor.

I cannot and will not watch this speech. If anyone did is this snip in context? Did he really all but say white people are here and "they" are not??  I find the setting for that speech incredibly creepy as well.  I hate to admit it, but the Trumpers have managed to make Old Glory a symbol I have a negative connotation with now.

I hate Trump as much as anybody who hates him but he said we're here and they're not. The Trumpsters on other forums are bragging that there was a crowd there and there's was no masks wearing going on.
