Speaking of MTOs and salty handshakes, I went to bed before the Krejcikova/Muguruza match, but I heard it was a whole mess.

I watched it in real time. Barbora came from the break and smoked Gardine.

  2. I've known about Elaine before she became nationally relevant and I felt like that EIC job at Teen Vogue was a sinking ship that she kept it  afloat iand then some. She successfully transition Teen Vogue when cease print publication due to declining sales to a high traffic social media machine.

LOL, what's your point? The Beltway media has always loved this war and their sources in the military brass. Doesn't matter to the public, which still wants us out. Explicate your specific point.

    Meanwhile:

The CNN media personality getting defensive over the anti Biden coverage of the troops being pulled out of Afghanistan is the point.

  4. Going into Young Turks mode by posting a Biden interview that the Right are having a fit about. The US should've pulled out of Afghanistan years ago.

Going into Joe Rogan mode and posting a Trump interview reacting to the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Why on earth is 2016 being relitigated yet again. But I also remember PoC being ignored during the primaries by one campaign and the booing of John Lewis at the Democratic Convention. Next time try courting the base of the party before thinking winning is possible after calling them "low information".

I didn't vote for Bernie in the 2016 and 2020  primaries but I would've vote for him had he won the nomination. I can't say that would've been the case for some of those who voted for Biden had Bernie won the nomination.

I don't "hate" and oppose every bill that Democrats  pass despite certain things being removed. I thought the passage  of the Affordable Care Act despite not having the public option was a good thing. I'm not I didn't like the way some of the Establishment Dems was eager to just kick the can and make excuses for why the $15 min wage and the reduction of the weekly benefits.  Don't you ever get tired of the Democrats having to be like oral surgeons extracting teeth just to get billls  passed and the Republicans often ramming their bills through?

Isn't it 2 sides of the same coin though. It seems the Bernie contingent hate democrats more than republicans.

Listen there are plenty of issues to criticize people across the board for but Biden right now is the least. The Recovery Act regardless of some flaws helped a ton of people. The Child Tax credit alone is going to help millions and we should all kiss Sherrod Browns shoes for that one.

My biggest issue at this point is this insistence that it's all about economics and class. I'm sorry that has never been true. Anyone who thinks people voted for Trump the "populist(laughing) because of that is fooling themselves.  States across this country are limiting voting targeting marginalized groups and banning the teaching of things like the KKK is immoral, banning the teaching of the writings of MLK, and labor rights activists(Chavez)  and women's rights activists(Susan B Anthony) and I am supposed to believe the people who vote for those who are doing these things are voting for them due to economics is ridiculous.

I agree with you on your first paragraph but the boxed wine and cheese, safe space  crowd pushed the narrative that only the Bros were the aggressors and the haters.

Biden is far from above my criticism. But Biden wasn't in office when you were saying most of these things that would definitely happen. Did they happen, or is it possible you just spend your days doomscrolling Republicans and Bernie Bros on social media while you lose touch with reality?

Nice dodge on 'scaling back' though. I see you've learned from the Young Turks, et al the strategic lean that whenever the Dems take a win it automatically doesn't count because of any one measure that is removed. That's why you tried to immediately dismiss the Jobs Plan, which was a major success. I'll see you back here when we pass the reconciliation package and you can say it doesn't count because it's not six trillion dollars, which was never going to happen and was always a strategic move by Sanders. You can even tell me how many Republicans on Facebook you've met who are sure it will fail.

Ah, the Low Hanging Fruit approach. I forgot that you hate the Bernie Bros more than you do the Republicans.   I don't even listen to the Young Turks but I have listened to one of the former Young Turk host a couple of times because she was a guest on  video I was watching. You can check my previous posts to see if I'm lying or not. Do you want to have access to my Facebook account even though I don't post politics over there. I am my own man. I can agree or disagree with the Establishment Dems like you and argree or disagree with the Bernie too.

There was never likely to be the minimum wage increase in that bill despite hopes, but it was still a pretty strong bill. But go ahead and dog it. Everything else you've said is on record and most of it was always wrong, despite you breathlessly coming here each time to tell us what Republicans on Twitter were telling you.

You are one of those flips and spins anything Biden does as some form of a victory just because Trump isn't in office despite the victories come at a price of scaling back, and kicking the can.

    Remember when you said:

    • Biden wouldn't pass the American Jobs Plan
    • Trump would overturn the election
    • Trump will win in a landslide
    • Trump will definitely run again

    Just saying.

I don't remember saying point one but I did say (paraphrasing) that Manchin and Sinema was going to be thorns in the Democrats side and Mitch wasn't too worry about losing the Senate because of those two. The Jobs and Relief bill that Democrats watered down  in order to appease Manchin, Sinema by removing the $15 minimum wage increase and reducing the weekly benefits from $600 and $300 and passed without any Republican support. Then the Republicans started cutting the bill off by the knees on the state level by cutting off unemployment benefits before the expiration date. At least Trump isn't the President and that's a good thing.

Maybe I'm a jinx and a conservative Supreme Court justice or two will leave the court somehow under the Biden Presidency and a Democratic controlled Congress

At least I can say that Trump isn't the President and that's a good thing.

  10. It will be a 7-2 conservative majority before you know it. Meanwhile the milquetoasts in the democratic party will whine and complain and drink mimosas while the country is being burned (figuratively) to the ground.

This pathetic clown isn't running in 2024.

I will bet $25 with any board member that he will run again. The only he doesn't run is either he's dead or his health declines. The American Right worships this man like he's a deity. Payable via Cash App or Venmo.

I'm starting to lose faith that anything will happen to these people. We're celebrating the retrieval of pipeline ransom money(well that is good work) but the failures of the FBI, DHS, Dept of Defense and others still whitewashed while a private company is helped.. And that senate committee report issued had to be scrubbed to get bipartisan support and have the word "insurrection" removed.

I mistakenly thought Garland was a good choice. I thought the democrats might finally tell the GOP to get *ucked.  I get the importance of Biden's trip to the G7 and Harris's mission in Central America, but there needs to be a heck of a lot more focus on the health or lack of what's going on here. Why on earth isn't the DOJ stepping in in some capacity to defend voting rights and the nonsense going on in Arizona. There can't be NOTHING they can do.

Nothing of any major consequence is going to happen to Trump or any of the high officials who were involved in the insurrection. The ones that end up leaving office often end up in the  business world making seven or eight figure salaries in some sort of made up position. The few rubes that have been convicted by a lower court will simply be pardoned by the next Republican president (Donald Trump). That Republican president will use the DOJ to go after political rivals whether they are private citizens or not and the "but the Biden and Garland didn't do it" crowd will be yelling that out to no avail.
