  1. Bobbie & Carly scenes that always stuck with me. Carly gives Bobbie a necklace. Carly calls Bobbie "Mama"
  2. No, there wasn't another scene like that. After her exit in 2005, JB has not appeared on the show since.
  3. I really enjoyed Jason Morgan during that first run, when I think of the character, I go back to those years before any other. Though when he came back (in 2002) to me things were just never the same, I remember being more invested in what Sonny had going on. Now I'm not really invested in either now so... I always figured Jason would never get his memories back but I do remember reading recaps of events & older interviews that Steve just didn't want to play that. I figured when they had Jason immediately just start a whole new life, not even miss his old one. That just stood out to me, usually with amnesia stories the characters want to remember their old lives. Jason did none of that, in fact he actively rejected his old one and built new relationships. Like it was mentioned in the post above, I don't think Jason Q would have been somebody Guza & Co. would have wanted to write for.
  4. Nick told her to get an abortion or give the baby up he didn't want to raise Matt Clark's baby. Sharon started thinking about when she gave up Cassie and she had dreams about Matt/Carter returning. They fought and Nick walked out. Something happened with Nick's car and Sharon ran out to see if he was ok. She fell and the chair punctured her stomach. She lost the baby and was angry at Nick. They separated for a time. Cassie became close to Diego and that's how Sharon was around him more outside of CL. There was some paralegal hitting on Nick, they kissed. Then Grace Turner came back to town, Sharon saw Grace with Nick. Sharon assumed he was cheating again, she turned to Diego. Then Nick surprised her with a second honeymoon, he explained everything. They got back together. Then Diego started dating Victoria. Sharon confessed to Nick she slept with Diego. Nick attacked Diego and Victoria found out. Then they all had to get ready for Victor/Nikki's wedding.
  5. The Winters will be the focus next week! https://www.cbs.com/recommended/news/1009820/cbs-daytime-dramas-salute-classic-characters-in-new-theme-weeks-starting-may-18/
  6. I do think they would be better off with story arcs but I'm happy they are showing classics. It's somewhat keeping fans engaged. Especially when the newer episodes were so blah.
  7. I remember Billy/Chloe being popular online, that whole quad got a lot of discussion on boards. Though they tested Billy around so much it was hard to get invested in anything.
  8. I'm pissed it took two seasons for Cole/Melissa to get back together and fugly Greg Reardon is there angst. This is annoying. If it was Lance, I could understand since he is still flirting with Melissa. I only have the first four seasons and it's been years since I've watched it. I forgot so many plots. This whole Nazi situation is awful. I don't get the point of Terry and her abusive ex. I think what annoyed me with FC, is that there main players were interesting. Outside of David so far, I have not cared for the newer characters.
  9. I don't think the Matt Clark/Carter Mills story has ever been posted in full. There were some clips but those got pulled forever ago. Some clips that were posted were in French and then the English versions always got pulled.
  10. ABC should just use the GH episodes soapnet aired for the 50th anniversary. https://www.channelguidemag.com/tv-news/2013/03/29/soapnet-general-hospital-marathon-episodes/ Happy to see Y&R will be showing classics.
  11. They were. I did like JT/Mac as well. We got to see a nicer side JT which set things up nicely for JT/Colleen. I can't wait to see what else you will upload.
  12. Billy/Mac in the elevator?! *faints* I was so invested in Y&R during that time. Never thought I would see these episodes again. Thank you.
  13. Vintage print ads under the spoiler cut.

  15. TV Line's Best and Worst Recast http://tvline.com/gallery/best-worst-soap-opera-recasts/#!4/jamie-luner-liza-colby/ Jamie Luner made the list coming in at #2 for worst recast.
  16. Fellow roundtable participant Quentin Tarantino said, "That might be one of the most interesting things said at the table. The power of soap opera actors. That actually is a nugget, and I buy it 100 percent." And he's not wrong. Soap-opera actors shoot multiple scripts in one day, and with the decrease in budgets since the heyday of the genre (the '80s and '90s), there's not often time for reshoots. You must know your lines, be on your mark, and be ready to shoot. There's no time for Method acting or arguing with a director. It's the sort of professional athleticism that Alfred Hitchcock greatly admired in actors. In 1962, during a series of interviewswith François Truffaut, Hitchcock famously referred to actors as cattle. For example, during the shooting of I Confess, Hitchcock didn't get along with Montgomery Clift. According to Patricia Bosworth's Montgomery Clift: A Biography, Hitchock would tell Clift exactly how he wanted him to behave in scenes. Clift balked at the demands and would act how he wanted in other takes, but Hitchcock would ultimately use the takes where Clift followed his instructions. It shouldn't come as surprise that a number of the actors Hitchock worked with — including Farley Granger, John Forsythe, and Macdonald Carey — went on to act in soaps. Russell, who has been known to battle with his own actors on set, is probably just embracing his inner Hitchcock. He even has Lawrence as his icy blonde. And really, is it any surprise that a director who loves a good screaming match and casting Lawrence older than she actually is in every film would love a good Erica Kane soap-opera catfight? http://www.vulture.com/2015/12/david-o-russell-loves-soap-actors.html?mid=fb-share-vulture
