  1. I heard people say she had good chemistry with her parents. Idk, I couldn't get over her absolute stupidity over Jeremy Horton-also a legacy character decimated.
  2. Lol EJ the racecar driver. JER really did have a weird obsession for Nascar for a minute lol. At least it's a more exciting job than Stephanie's boring ass PR firm. I think Hennig gets a lot of love for the rape story and she was good in that, but overall she's meh to me. I think her and Phillip were decent, but it was all happening during the Max dating all his relatives time period we were just talking about lol.
  3. I think that's who you might be thinking of too. Willow was pushed, but I don't remember hearing any rumors about her, but I actually thought she was much less likable than Morgan who didn't bother me. She was just everywhere all at once. Shayna Rose was definitely more interesting. She wasn't as blandly pretty or cookie cutter as a heroine and I liked that for Steve/Kayla's daughter, but I remember most people disliking her. She certainly looked more like a Steve/Kayla child than the two brunette actresses that followed her. Stephanie, Belle, Abby, Melanie, etc all filled a very similar role in the mid 2000's and it would have been nice to see a more standout Stephanie.
  4. Willow was just a completely unlikeable character. She was one of the worst characters ever. Who was the writer pushing Morgan Hollingsworth so hard. I know there were rumors about the actress behind the scenes, but was Ed Scott pushing her? I actually think the new Stephanie is exactly like Hennig lol, but I didn't think SH was that great as Stephanie. I actually liked the red headed race car 1st one. I think they let Kristen touch on the fact that she was an actual sex slave, but Marlena was so casual about Kristen popping up and this is a women that dramatically gasps when John buys her flowers. It was so anti climatic. You are 100% right about everything, but if I have to tolerate RSW I would prefer him shirtless.
  5. Talk about truly taking the shock out of a reveal. Marlena wasn't even surprised to see Kristen lol. I guess John/Marlena just knew she was sold into white slavery and didn't care at all for years.
  6. I agree most everything about Alex is useless, but a softcore scene with RSW isn't the worst thing in the world. The man is still very hot lol. Regarding Rachel, John seems to be the only one disciplining her. I agree with it making Brady look weak, but I have always considered Brady pretty weak as a character so it checks out to me.
  7. I see why people think Brenda doesn't have a ton of current connections, but it would take very little work to connect her to the canvas. It's not as if she doesn't know most of the cast she just didn't interact with them that much. For a better or worse, the fact she is so closely tied to Sonny opens up pretty much everyone to her. All you have to say is Deception needs a boost and they are bringing back the original Face of Deception to help with buzz. The only thing I would wonder about is who to pair her with. No one besides Sonny seems like the right choice. I guess you could try her with Drew.
  8. Monica is a heart surgeon and Tony is a neurologist. Not sure if that entirely tracks throughout history, but that's their specialties said on screen.
  9. I don't know if I ever liked a pairing with her, but she was just fun. I can see why people hated her and the whole Daniel/Maggie thing was trash, but she had a likable presence.
  10. I loved Molly Burnett and Melanie, so I am completely unqualified to comment She was so fun and adorable. I'll just sit here and wait for the hatred...............😂
  11. Yes. There really isn't a situation where Vanessa Marcil in the 90's wouldn't be the most successful model because she is so beautiful, but I think scrappy underdog works for Brenda/Vanessa moreso than icon. And it works for her and Sonny. Sonny Corinthos isn't going to be bagging the most famous supermodel of all time because of...all the things Sonny is. And they don't necessarily lean in to the fact she was so young and it was a fairly abusive situation. I love it but the red flags are there EVERYWHERE. He was an absolute dick to Brenda all the time. She's a chemistry magnet, but a little limited as far as acting. I have never found her to take a role where it wasn't a variation on Brenda.
  12. There is no situation where you would not take Brenda back. If you are on third characters for RW and Easton you can make Brenda work. I just have never been fond of Brenda is everything to everyone. She's hella awesome, but I prefer her more humbled. Idk, I liked a more scrappy Brenda always trying to be the most, but not quite getting there, thwarted by silly decisions.
  13. Idk, it probably makes no sense, but I have always sorta liked the idea of Carly/Brenda taking on a common enemy together and unwittingly becoming friends. They do have a lot in common. I would also take an Ava/Brenda friendship, but I don't see that happening either. Brenda is an island on her own but only if you make her that way. She doesn't necessarily have a history with Anna, but you could just slot her in because she's Robin's bff. She has Ned, Lucy, Laura, Kevin, Sam, Dante, Michael, Kristina, Molly, etc. etc She might not have been super close with all these people, but it wouldn't be difficult to establish those relationships. Deception probably is too small for Brenda's public stature, but she has a close bond with it because it gave her the modeling start. I would scale back on Brenda being "the most famous supermodel ever" because that doesn't even jive with Brenda character really. Not every man or woman wants her or wants to be her. She was pretty much just adored by Sonny/Jax not the entire world. I think Guza went too far into his adoration with Vanessa and made Brenda too famous for the logistics of an actual soap.
  14. Probably not, but he could at least have brunette or have black hair if they were going in that direction. The kid that played Dev literally looked like a Sonny/Brenda child and I thought maybe Brenda lost Alec again, but they didn't go there with him. He felt vaguely the right age and situation. I don't know how old the actor that plays Dex is, but he feels old to be Brenda's kid. ETA he is only 25, so I guess he could be her son lol
  15. The only thing I remember hearing is that she was a diva on set around the 50th anniversary. Something about not wanting to dress up for the cast photo and she isn't in formal attire, but the dress she was wearing to talk to Sonny in when you look at the official photos. Idk, I think she is super protective of the character of Brenda to the point she might be annoying and won't work for peanuts, but I don't think it's anything ridiculous. We've never heard anything bad from VM or FV officially. They have always spoke complimentary of one another. As far as Brenda long term, they would have to pivot her character. Put her at Deception, have her interact with Brooklyn, Lucy, Maxie, Sasha, Laura, etc. I don't think it would be a mistake to have her be friendly with Carly or Ava and have her and Carly take on Nina. I would not go with her and Dante because that's weird, but she is cornered into the Sonny relationship as I can't really see her with anyone else on canvas, so of course she'd be Roger Howarth's main love interest immediately😂 Vanessa, Mo, and Lilly Melgar are all hispanic and Dex is like the whitest person in the world lol
  16. This makes tons of sense. There were a lot of stories that the show started and then walked back on that seemed like intriguing ideas. I do feel like Kristen's return was good, but certain points were bungled as well. IE Marlena/John finding out Kristen was alive off screen and never mentioning it until Kristen was in Salem lol.
  17. I think BB's Nick was just such a unique character that Corday got scared. He wasn't a traditional hunk, so I believe it was easier to phase him out over continuing to develop him. The show gave him the prison rape story BEFORE GH's Michael, so there were ideas there. It was just a very odd shift to homophobia and craziness and it would have been a lot better to explore the reasons he had these issues. I think it was just too complicated for several different writers to take on.
  18. I am sure there were numerous behind the scenes changes that effected Nick's trajectory (I honestly don't recall because Days changed writers so often), but in hindsight it seems like such a bad decision for a legacy character (even if I side eye calling Jessica a legacy character because she was the worst). I think Blake Berris was good with whatever material he was given and even good with the recent Heaven stuff, but it's a shame they destroyed the character because he would fit well on the canvas now.
  19. I don't think it was very memorable and they are low key related through her marriage to Shawn, so it does track as far as his type. I want to say he dated Mimi in between the times he dated Stephanie and Abby. I hated the way Nick was portrayed during that time. Chelsea/Nick was a sweet romance, but the show kept pushing the narrative that Nick was so awkward and geeky and then he sleeps with Billie. I guess it's better than him being an actual psycho over Gabi, but the show really did Blake Berris wrong.
  20. I think he dated Mimi who was not his relative lol. But I think Farah Fath was on her way out, so it went nowhere.
  21. Bless you for putting together this montage of awesomeness. CS has just loads of charisma with everyone he interacts with. CS also is super believable as Drake/John's son. Not only to they have great chemistry as father/son they have similar mannerisms. He's the only John child I truly like. I can't really remember the first Chelsea/Georgia. I know she exists, but she wasn't memorable to me. I do think the show put Max in some of the most awkward borderline incestous pairings and it was weird. Melvin did a really good job at playing Chelsea as slightly unlikeable, but also rootable IMO. Again, I preferred her and Nick as a couple to any one else she was paired with. Like 45 year old Dan....
  22. Yeah I agree. The thing is Frank seems to be doing an okay job and keeping the budget in line, so no one at ABC cares about GH or what he does. There are huge flaws with GH and obvious ways to make things better, but I also get the sense no one on the GH writing staff or behind the scenes has a connection to the Brenda character the way Guza did. MB seems to be the only one that advocates a Brenda return and it's not like he really cares that much as long as he gets story. The longer Brenda as a character stays away the less relevant she is. Will she and Sonny ride off into the sunset? Yes, I absolutely believe that, but Brenda could actually do more things on the canvas than be Sonny's arm candy. The show wastes so much time on characters that don't have a fanbase or any history instead of just bringing back a character people really like.
  23. I have no problem with Vanessa knowing her worth and sticking by it as I am sure she barely got paid anything while leading the 90's with her stories and couldn't get what she wanted in 2003. It's very clear Frank has a personal issue with her specifically and I don't see any cons to bringing Brenda back. It seems like a no brainer, but maybe her position is less solid without Jax/Jason on the canvas. And even if she wants big money I can't see it being much more than Howarth or Easton who are on their third failed characters. I don't see how she'd be worth less than MB unless we are paying MB for loyalty and not actual skills. It's a shame the show doesn't see the same worth in their female leads as they do their males because at the very least a Brenda return would garner buzz for the show. I mean TVGuide is talking to her for no discernible reason lol.
  24. Isn't it great how a 90's Brenda/Sonny pic can make me think MB is hot? Even knowing everything I know about Sonny now I still looked at that picture and was like "they are such a smoking hot couple"....😂
  25. Lol! Thanks @Taoboi for the tag! I do feel like it's 2002 again. But I am in agreement with @Vee. It sort of sounds like Vanessa being Vanessa and trying to get herself back on the show. It's clear she's game. The question is how much does FV dislike her and her antics? She had to do something big to piss him off this bad. It's been an entire decade of no Brenda... It's a big enough return to confirm and the show has always pimped her returns to high heaven so if she appears on my screen I will eat my words and drop dead from shock, but I find it doubtful.
