I love this idea. While the Linc situation is topical and I don't hate the idea of the story, GH is doing that thing where they just decide to drag something out too long.

Ciara was just doing the same old thing talking about how awesome Ben is at everything. While I don't hate Cin, I do find it annoying the ultimate proof of happiness is Ben/Ciara having multiple children when Ciara is like 25. It's more of an overall issue on every soap, but it actually would be highly inconvenient to have multiple young children on a boat and they still don't have jobs or discernible income. And also, where is Kate? Definitely good cliffhangers today though.

Which Eve would you go with KDP or CR? Obviously, the answer is Charlotte Ross but I thought I'd ask 🤣 I honestly don't mind Ciara/Ben in small doses. They really don't bug me the way they do most people on this board. They are annoying, but when they aren't on my screen everyday (well RSW is....)I don't hate them.

I mean, the only comparison is Adrianne Leon and I guess she's better than that, but AL's Brook Lynn (changed the spelling 😚) had horrible writing too. She was actually Nik's hired girlfriend and scrounging around New York trying to get free pretzels and date rape Dante for money. The bar is low.

You are spot on about how good she looked in '08. I highly suspect GH dressed her older to make her look closer in age to Tony and dim the fact that she was still young and sexy. I was shocked to realize she was in her early 30's in the 90's. Of course styles change and look dated, but Genie is only 5 or 6 years older than Vanessa who was playing a teenager lol.

I hate the way Laura dresses too, but they have been styling her horribly since she was in her 30's with her weird floral hippy dresses. It's like any time Genie gains a pound no one knows how to style her lol. I think AS being a score in my mind is why I have been so disappointed by her. There is a difference between being conservative and matronly and GH seems to have no idea how to walk that line. Not every 30 year wants to settle down with a house full of kids, but that tends to be the only goal on GH.

It has improved. She isn't wearing as many boxy jackets lol. Idk, Amanda Setton is my age and I think she dresses so old as Brooklyn. Maybe I dress too young or something, but her wardrobe seems more suited for a 50 year old. Anna dresses more current and it's odd because in my mind Brooklyn would be more fashion conscious because Lois had so much style. It's a petty thing to complain about, but if I rag on KS's wardrobe I might as well call out AS. She may be a friend of Frank, but AS has had a valid career. I remember thinking she was a casting score when she was hired. She just hasn't quite delivered.

I hate to be that person, but I am that person. The way Amanda Setton is dressed as Brooklyn is so frumpy. It throws me off.

I always thought Kim/Shane were one of the most complex supercouples even if they did tend to get the same stories over and over. Kim wasn't an action adventure heroine and was mostly based at home in Salem. Her backstory also made her much more interesting as Hope, Kayla, Marlena were relatively "normal". I am here for your idea and Jen Lilley is a go. I bet Tate isn't a brat like Rachel.

I agree it falls more on the writing. She is certainly more viable than Maxie as a character. I just want her to be more quirky like her mom and her mooning over Chase is boring. I think this is a case where GH took a decent pairing and decided to drag it out way too long.

I wish the show more openly acknowledged Brenda ruined Jax and that's why he would aggressively take on Sonny's cast offs and marry so many women. It was a complex part of Jax, but instead of the writers exploring it the show made it seem like he was just a romantic lol. I am sure we've had this convo 10 times lol. There is a lot of things to explore in Sonny/Brenda's relationship as grown adults with lots of life experiences behind them. It's just always Brenda backsliding personally to fit into Sonny's life. I would love for Sonny to leave the mob behind and have them deal with Sonny basically being retired, but I am not sure that would make for exciting viewing. I do think there are so many places to go with Sonny/Brenda as a couple and everything gets so muddled with Carly and the other woman because they never could get VM to commit long term.

I don't really love AS as Brooklyn. I have liked Setton in other roles so I keep hoping for her to pop in this role, but it hasn't happened. I know her and Chase have a fanbase, but I think she needs someone a bit more exciting.

Yeah I have such mixed feelings about Brenda/Sonny. Of course I want them together and believe they are the endgame couple, but I also think Brenda as a person should have long moved on from that. I never liked the narrative that a successful woman like Brenda was somehow empty without Sonny's love. I didn't love the Michael tease (outside of AJ's stellar reaction), but I liked Brenda proactively scheming to stick it to Carly because she spent the entire previous year letting Carly walk all over her. And agree about the Jax/Brenda engagement. I liked Jax/Brenda as a couple and Ron just destroyed them in a matter of two episodes lol. Jax/Brenda fans always get the short end of the stick and I think they should have just left that relationship alone.

I think I have said before that I prefer Kimberly to Kayla and would fully welcome a Donovan Beyond Salem. It's a shame Theresa kinda sucks, but since I am open about my Molly Burnett love I might as well say Jen Lilley doesn't bother me at all. lol I'd take her back as Maxie in a second. She has some big teeth lol.

I honestly don't need Brenda in random pairings but I need some movement on Sonny's part to not be the worst. Because I feel like the always put them back together on popularity with zero movement in the actual lovestory. And I do feel like the show plays Brenda as so lovelorn for Sonny..which fine, but Sonny is a actual trash bag fire with like 17 kids from 17 moms so...........

I just don't think you immediately shack her up with Sonny and give her options. I will faint dead if Vanessa appears on my screen in the next few weeks but you have to give her at least a slow burn to Sonny here. It's probably not the most in character thing for her but IMO it would be silly just to do that thing again immediately because realistically the problems that broke them up literally are the entire same problems they'd still be entertaining but with Nina and extra kids. Lol. My girl should just not be waiting around for Sonny's dumb ass (even though it's my number #1 ship Sonny sucks)

Idk, Cody just seems like such a bland 40 ish character. And not that Jax wasn't mildly bland, but he was at least super rich and the most extra with his wealth and gifts. I just don't see Brenda being into Doctors. Like there needs to be a slightly sexy mob boss in the rain not named Sonny that enters the building.

I am not the best at keeping up with DC and their thoughts, but Molly Burnett was the least of Days problems at the time. To pivot back to our original conversation if Shelly Hennig is fab, how is Molly Burnett bad? Melanie at least had a personality outside of bland heroine.

I had the Cody thought but he seems so basic. I am literally struggling to think of people on canvas for her outside Dante which feels so messy to me. Drew is the only one I could think of but I guess you could waste her on Roger or Easton

I always thought Molly Burnett was a perfect young lead. She wasn't going to be Marlena and she shouldn't have been the lead, but there was nothing wrong with her. There was so much hate for her and her character for no reason. Clearly Molly is doing well in the acting business and I think the popular opinion online was she was awful, but she wasn't. It was actually Jamey Giddens gunning for her for no reason.

You aren't wrong about him eating the show for years and I am actually fine with him in the background, but it seemed like he was on 4 days a week following Nina around. At least when he was on 4 days a week previously he was doing something. Idk, this probably isn't a popular sentiment, but if we are going to see Sonny that often at least have him do more than passing on idle gossip and literally holding Nina's purse while she runs the hotel and has actual conversations that drive story lol.

LOL! There was a period for at least half a year where Sonny was sitting at the Metro Court overhearing other people's conversations and waiting for Nina to finish up her legitimate job. He was a regular gossip girl to the point I actually questioned his airtime. I know people have questioned MB's airtime for years, but I was genuinely wondering why I was watching Sonny day after day just wandering around the hotel bar for days at a time.

Was he Jewish? I know his mother was, but I don't recall him every saying one way or the other. I only remember him trying to drown Stephanie in a hot tub and trying to make a business out of flying directly from Salem to Vegas.😂
