Charlotte should not exist. It's weird, rapey, and highly unnecessary. I do think I would watch her if Dante had to raise her and she was some sort of spoiled princess. Dante being exasperated about her behavior and trying to figure it out would be cute. Valentin can fall off a cliff, but I would love to see more of Dante raising kids.

You are probably right, but at least we knew Ciara/Liz were once intelligent. I just met Talia and I am judging her lol. I had such high hopes for her.

This is going to seem very outdated, but I think part of the problem is that most of these kids have different dads. So, you end up having to split the time with multiple characters. This is obvious a mainstay of soaps, but GH lacks any truly stable couples or families. Even with Frisco off the show we saw Felicia raising these kids as a single mom or with Mac. Dante could be raising Rocco and Charlotte (with the help of Sam) in Lulu's absence. Instead Charlotte has the majority of her scenes with Valetin. There is so much interswapping of partners and parentage that we don't get to see characters parent or co-parent. You might as well ship half these kids off to boarding school if we only hear about the things they do offscreen. In the 90's we had solid family bases even if they went through hardships and now we have Ned and Olivia who aren't used that way. You are on the same track I am with the Leo/Brook/Dante etc stuff.

The only one of these characters I feel strongly about keeping is Danny. Of course I have no problem with no Sam, but I would like to see a brotherly rivalry between him and Jake ala AJ/Jason. I agree about bringing some new characters in and bringing on familiar faces kids (Brenda, Skye's kid's would be my top 2-maybe Robin's other kid). As far as Dante/Lulu's kids it's all a blur. They were a charming couple in the beginning and then it was instant marriage and kids and all their baby stories seem to happen right on top of one another even Maxie/Liz's procreation felt more spread out.

Agreed. You are giving up being a DR. for your boyfriend's super complicated revenge plan that not only happened years ago, but was also an accident? I actually laughed when Jada leaped from I think there is something sketchy about her alibi to Talia clearly did this! That's your sister lol! My first assumption about my sister if she was lying about her alibi is that she was hooking up with some guy or drinking and didn't want to tell everyone. That's a normal thing people do in their 20's. I would never jump to that conclusion over tylenol (even if that was a really clunkly alibi)

The only reason I thought of Donna first was because I would feel bad if Ava's only child was killed off after she lost Kiki. Carly has Michael still so I think we all know that's the only one that matters anyway. I never really thought about how many kids everyone has on GH until it's laid out in front of you. It is weird it took so long to age this current group of college kids and there is no one in high school getting stories. The show seemed to evolve naturally in the 90's with AJ, Jason, then Robin, then Lucky and Emily, Nik, then Maxie, Georgie, Brooklyn etc. and you knew about these characters as kids. I barely know who parented this current crop of children-let alone a characteristic about them. I would definitely bring back Emma for Joss's gang and age up Jake and maybe add Danny to the mix. I guess whichever one is the teenager now Charlotte? could be part of that group too. I'd probably consider aging Georgie as well since I don't think it's ridiculous for Maxie to have a teen daughter. Perhaps Aiden/Rocco/Scout could be part of the group but a bit younger ala Robin in the 90's. Idk it's a lot of kids around the same birth year to deal with. I don't know why Sam, Maxie, Michael, Lulu have so many kids that all have confusing paternities.

I don't want to victim blame especially if Colin is abusive, but I am shocked Talia is onboard with this. This is an idiotic plan, he's an jerk, and she didn't even think about coming up with an alibi when her sister is not only a cop but also lives with her. That's really not smart.

So am I stupid or did the show just not explain why Colin has an accent and Sloan doesn't? Why would the show even do that? It's not like this guy is that great or a name lol.

I would say Parker/Holly/Tate on Days. Bring back Sydney. I would keep Rachel young for awhile and I think Will/Sonny/Gabi are a little young for their kid to be aged a lot. With GH, there are so many kids to choose from. I couldn't even name all the children in the GH universe right now some need to be aged up. I am admittedly not a kid person but I can't tell Charlotte from Violet or Rocco from Danny. I don't even recall what Scout looks like. Avery is Sonny's kid with Ava? I'd keep that one and kill Donna off. To me, if a Sonny/Carly kid so desperately needs to exist just bring Morgan back and make him Avery's father and the problem is solved.

Willow: It took me two years to realize her and Sasha were not the same person. It's finally all coming together now. It will be so sad when she doesn't die and isn't crazy and like Carly has to go to court for 3 minutes to resolve this SEC violation.

You just made Willow more exciting in 3 paragraphs than she has been in 4 years. I would be on board!! She lied about the cult and rape too! I don't know how to rationalize this, but let's just make her a complete crazy. It's hard to imagine a world where Luke would even care about who Michael's marrying let alone Willow.

If Willow was faking for attention I would legitimately start stanning the character. That would be an amazing twist.

That all seems correct to me. I think Sonny/Luke made it seem like Deception was profitable or skimming from them was normal operations in the territory to Joe, so he thought it was a good idea. Plus I think Joe liked Lucy (and Bobbie, but not the point here). So I guess the point of the last few pages of this thread is that Damian really was everywhere-we just forgot about it.

@VeeFor me Scully was a lot different than Sonny's mob rivals after. Scully took him off the streets and was like a father figure to Sonny and there was a lot of Sonny trotting around his great relationship with Scully in front of Mike all the while knowing Scully was trying to screw him. Sonny also did a lot of things to impress Scully like show off his model girlfriend, his successful club, his record label etc. There was an actual familial bond and Sonny felt really torn about betraying him after Scully gave him so much (in his mind). The swagger of Sonny being the boss wasn't there and the stakes seemed higher in a lot of ways. It was Sonny's make her break or make moment in the mob and we didn't know if he was going to come out on top culminating in the moment where Sonny killed Joe to save Mike (I think I mistakenly said Mike killed Joe which is wrong in a previous post) Scully as an actual character outside the Sonny dynamic wasn't that interesting or far from a stereotype. He flirted with the ladies, gambled, drank, but seemed pretty harmless. Rivera used to actually seem scary and was.

For the life of me I can't tell you why Damian/Scully were screwing up Deception's shipments or why that was profitable for them. I almost want to say it was Sonny/Luke trying to distract Scully away from the earnings from Luke's club that he thought he had a right to and I think Lucy was game because she wanted to help or a distraction. The details escape me, but it was something like that. I think the Damian faking his death might all be part of the same story or at least the continuation of it.

I got you. I think it was just to bide time? KSu and her story weren't getting awards and accolades, so dump her and move a pretty well received LLC/Olivia in temporarily to set up the conflict with Carly (and Olivia getting accidently shot) to move Sonny into his downward spiral of killing AJ, being on the outs with Carly, and hooking up with Ava. I think it was just to give Sonny and Olivia something to do since Olivia didn't have a love interest either. Ron obviously didn't care for Sonny, but I don't think he cared much for Olivia either and it was easy to just bring the two together to advance the next phase of the story, IMO, at least. Ron had moved on to shinier projects like Maura West or getting Michelle Stafford, which on paper seem like smarter bets than "BROADWAY STAR" Kelly Sullivan.

You aren't wrong in at all in your view point. I see it slightly differently. I don't think the characterization of him was that far off from what it should have been with how Scully Sr. described him, but he should have been a straight up sleazy villian. The pairing with a smart woman like Tracy was a big problem. We've seen Tracy go down some unwise paths in love, but not one as obvious as this. I think the failure of Trey, NuKristina, NuConnie all at once was just too much. Scrap and move on. Some of the loudest complaints from GH at the time were these characters and this story. The Connie rape stuff was downright vulgar. Pair that with subpar and at sometimes bizarrely crazy acting choices made all of this so distasteful. In regards to Olivia/Kate we've had this conversation. There wasn't a need for both. Either make Olivia the first love or make Kate the mother of Dante (Megan Ward's version because KSu is probably actually younger than Dominic). The flip flop of the entire Sonny's first love thing was weird because it was already a little sketch when Sonny came on as a man who had never been in love before Brenda and said so often. You can allow Kate or Olivia, but not two huge loves Sonny just didn't mention the his first 15 years on the show. I will always suspect Megan Ward made someone mad behind the scenes.

Sorry I should have clarified I was happy the role was cast/brought on not the actor in particular. But I was willing to give RS a chance because Scully used to talk about what a f*ck up his son was, so him looking like that didn't throw me off that badly. The stories they gave him were way off, but I sort of pictured Joe Scully Jr. as some sort of New Jersey mafia guy that only had power and cred because of his dad and everyone knew he sucked lol.

Well, that was bungled and I was actually excited that he was cast. It seemed to have potential, but he probably should have been cast earlier and not in the story he was. The Joe Scully SR. story was one of my favorites because that whole situation blew Sonny's mob stuff wide open and was such an umbrella story for the cast. When Scully's men retaliated, he shot up Luke's, Luke/Laura's home, Sonny's apartment, etc and it lead to so many plot advancements. Stone's reveal he had AIDS, Brenda being shot, Luke/Laura separated, and Mike/Sonny getting closer. I also think Lucy/Kevin broke up because she was lying about putting herself in danger like that. Not that you don't already know this, but I really enjoyed it.

I can't remember the exact circumstances, but I think it had something to do with Scully/Damian Smith sabotaging Deception cosmetic shipments. Sonny, Luke et al knew this was happening and Lucy was some sort of decoy. I think the whole operation got bungled and Lucy got taken hostage/kidnapped and it ended with Joe Scully's death.

To be fair to Duell, he can act. He just stopped doing so on GH about a decade ago lol.

I don't know where the Quartermaines are from originally. I think you would have to go back and find actual synopsis of Edward's first appearances to get clarity. I thought Mary Mae and Edward had an affair during the war, she was a performing blues singer I believe? I don't think the affair happened in PC, but they both ended up in PC for different reasons. Randomly. Because that happens all the time. I will try to watch the Bradley Ward trial scenes again because I think that explains a lot of the timeline.
